The night passed, and Xu Chen arrived at school early, discussing math problems with Wang Li as usual. During the break between the second and third periods, Teacher Li suddenly entered the classroom and called Xu Chen away. In the office, Xu Chen met a refined middle-aged man who smiled at him, "You're here, come in, Xu Chen, have a seat." A secretary, seemingly nearby, was taking out a notebook and starting to take notes. Have you decided which university to apply to?" Xu Chen replied without hesitation, "Peking University, after all, that was my initial goal." Director Zhao excitedly said, "Great! Great! I'm entrusting our city's top liberal arts student this year to you, Xu Chen. To be honest, the main reason I came here was to see you, because Xu Chen and I were roommates in college. So I've been paying close attention to you, and given how outstanding you are, I wanted to have a chat with you."
Half an hour later, Director Zhao said, "Alright, I won't keep you any longer. I have a meeting to attend, so I'll be leaving now, lest you all be on edge while I'm here."
