Chapter 200 The Trinity-Based Magic Core, Traveling Together, Beast Tide

Chapter 200 The Trinity-Based Magic Core, Traveling Together, Beast Tide

Tata cried himself to sleep last night. His eyes felt a little uncomfortable when he woke up this morning, but he didn't tell his father.

The little monster became very depressed, and he couldn't help but shed tears whenever he thought that he would never see his mother again in his life.

Tata's father watched anxiously, but there was nothing he could do.

So they had no choice but to lead the cub on a hike through the forest, trying to distract him with the various novel things they encountered along the way.

"Tata, what kind of meat do you want to eat tonight? Father will catch it all for you."

"Anything is fine."

The little monster was listless and showed no interest in anything.

The old father had no choice but to lead the way while occasionally turning back to check if the cubs were keeping up.

"Tata, I learned from humans that you were sold to a human town. How did you get back to the forest?"

Warcraft began asking about the cub's experiences over the past few years. He wanted to know if the cub had fared well without its parents and whether it had been bullied.

"He came back with Lai Yi. He's a very good human and promised the beast he would send it back."

Lei...

Warcraft silently repeated the name in his mind.

Yesterday, when the carriage was attacked, he did see a human being thrown into the air while tightly protecting his cub in his arms.

Wasn't the cub sold? Could it be that Lei was the buyer of the cub? How could anyone return such a precious little monster after acquiring it? That's just wishful thinking.

The old father felt that there were still many things he hadn't told his young son.

However, he was not in a hurry. Now that the cub had returned, he had plenty of time to learn about his experiences during that period from the cub.

The forest paths are rugged, and the little monster needs to stay close to its parents at all times, otherwise it is extremely easy to get lost.

Tata obediently followed behind her father's big tail, walking through the forest that was both familiar and unfamiliar.

To be honest, he no longer remembers what his father's territory looks like. The place he remembers most is the nest where he was born and its surroundings.

And in every one of these places, there is the gentle and beautiful figure of a mother.

Thinking of this, the little monster couldn't help but shed tears again.

"Have you been living with that human named Lei for the past few years?"

"Tata?"

The monster waited in vain for the little monster's response, then turned around and found the cub secretly wiping away tears.

He stopped, turned around, walked closer, picked up the cub, carried it on his back, and licked the tears on its face and the fur on its forehead to comfort it.

The father's sudden barrage of spittle successfully interrupted Tata's reverie.

He felt his face was covered in his father's saliva and had a very strong urge to wash it.

Tata tried to back away, trying to avoid her father's tongue.

After being licked until he stumbled, the old father stopped his loving act, turned around, and continued on his way with Tata in his car.

Wasn't Beast Daddy asking him a question just now?

Tata shook her head, trying to dry her hair, and remembered that she seemed to have heard her father ask her some questions in a daze.

"Beast Daddy".

"What's wrong, kid?"

"What did Li ask the beast again?"

"I'm asking if you lived with that human named Lai during the years you were away from the forest?"

Warcraft patiently repeated himself, and this time he received a response from the cub.

"Yes, Neil took the beast back, and Ray found a doctor to treat it, which is how the beast survived."

Upon hearing the cub's words, the old father's heart tightened, and he unconsciously stopped in his tracks.

Treatment...and he survived...

What exactly happened to his cub that made it associated with these words?

"Are you injured?"

"Yes, the beast was captured by bad guys in the forest and taken to a human village. Later, it was injured and sick and was abandoned by the roadside, where Neil picked it up and took it back."

Tata briefly recounted her experience and how Ray took care of her afterwards.

He didn't tell his father about his cracked magic core, afraid that it would upset him again.

Warcraft listened patiently as the cub recounted his experiences, his heart shifting between sadness, relief, disappointment, and guilt as the cub spoke.

He was very grateful to Ray and Neil for taking care of the cub; if it weren't for them, he might never have seen the cub again.

But at the same time, there is also a deep-seated hatred for the humans who stole the cubs.

"Beast Daddy?"

"Um?"

“Lay’s two horses were killed by monsters. We need to find him two more, otherwise he and Seya will have to walk to the Elf Kingdom.”

"good."

"And there's more, and more."

"Hmm, anything else?"

“Lay likes farming, so Lido found him some edible vegetable seeds.”

"Uh, that's a bit difficult, but I'll have those herbivorous magical beasts bring it."

"Okay! Thank you, Beast Daddy!"

Warcraft was surprised that his originally mischievous cub had become so polite and even said thank you to him.

I couldn't help but wonder what kind of human being Lai was.

"Why did they go to the Elf Kingdom?"

The monster continued forward, carrying its cub, and casually posed its question.

It's rather strange that an ordinary human with no power or status would go to the Elf Kingdom.

“Saya is an elf. His magic was sealed by bad guys, and then for various reasons, Lai agreed to send him back to his home.”

"I see. Does Lai know you can talk?"

Upon hearing the question from the Great Beast, Tata tucked her little tail between her legs.

He failed to keep his promise to his father and leaked the information.

"I know."

Tata answered in a low voice, but it did not escape the monster's ears.

"Knowing this, why did you still insist on sending me back?"

"Um!"

Tata puffed out her little chest again.

I am proud to know such an honest person as Ray.

The monster quickly changed the subject, asking Tata if she was getting enough to eat every day with the humans. Tata then launched into a splendid ode to Ray's culinary skills.

The old father didn't quite approve of this way humans raised offspring, but he didn't say a word or offer any opinion, quietly listening to the cubs speak.

That's good, at least the cubs can distract themselves and temporarily forget their pain.

Thinking about it this way, he realized he should repay that human named Lai properly.

The question-and-answer dialogue between the father and son continued, and no monster dared to disturb the long-separated father and son.

On the other hand, because they had lost their means of transportation, they could no longer catch up on sleep in the train carriage during the day, and they had to keep watch at night, making Lai and Seya's journey particularly tiring.

They had to take turns resting in one place during their lunch break.

The slower pace meant they had to reduce rest time to arrive as quickly as possible, and they also had to be wary of monster attacks along the way. This meant the two of them no longer had the ease and freedom they had when the carriage was still in use.

To distract themselves, Lai and Seya started chatting as they walked, which finally made the long journey less boring.

The two of them also gained a deeper understanding of each other.

And so, the two of them walked for three days. Although they tried their best to speed up, the distance they could cover each day was still far from satisfactory.

The monster strolled leisurely through the forest with its cubs, not in a hurry to return to its nest, but rather like it was going on a picnic.

Tata Beast's legs were also short, and the great monster didn't urge him along the way. Instead, it took every opportunity to guide Tata, teaching him more survival skills.

"Tata, do you still remember how your father taught you to use magic?"

The little monster hesitated and stammered as it answered.

"Remember."

The monster naturally noticed something was wrong with the cub. He assumed that the cub had simply forgotten how to use magic because too much time had passed, and was too embarrassed to admit it to him.

He then personally demonstrated it for him.

"All you need to do is guide the surrounding water elements to the magic core, and then send the power from the magic core out."

In a flash, the entire wildflower in front of Tata was frozen into a small ice sculpture by the monster, refracting colorful light under the sunlight.

The ice is clear and hard, like an exquisite crystal work of art.

Tata circled the ice sculpture twice, her eyes filled with a longing for power.

Seeing that it had successfully achieved its goal, the monster continued to guide the cub.

"Kid, give it a try. If you succeed, I'll take you for a flight in the sky."

Tata looked at the small patch of cloudless, azure sky, then at her expectant father.

Deep down, there was a clear struggle and hesitation.

His magic core only cracked slightly; perhaps if he's careful, nothing will go wrong.

Since the Magic Core was injured, he has kept his promise to Lai and the doctor, and has not dared to cross the line.

Tata struck a pose under the expectant gaze of the monster, and just as he was about to use magic, Lai's face suddenly appeared in his mind.

He can't do that; it's wrong.

Tata slumped her shoulders, lowered her head, and decided to confess to her father.

"Beast Daddy".

"What's wrong, kid?"

Warcraft was somewhat puzzled.

Little monsters as big as Tata should start learning magic, which will greatly help their future growth.

Magic is a very important tool and means for these magical beasts.

It can help them better protect themselves in dangerous, challenging, and enemy-filled jungles.

Tata hesitated for a moment, but eventually made up her mind.

“Beast Father, my magic core accidentally cracked when I was in the human village.”

"Who did this?!"

As expected, the monster was enraged.

His eyes were bloodshot, and he wished he could fly over immediately and tear the culprit to shreds!

His poor cub, having already lost its mother and freedom, has now lost the ability to use magic once again.

He must have felt utterly lonely and desperate, all alone in a village with no relatives.

When you get old, how will your young survive alone in the forest without your protection?

Tata hesitated to tell him from the beginning because she anticipated that her father would react this way after finding out.

Who is it?

The monster tried its best to suppress its anger, wanting to find out from the cub which one was the culprit.

Tata rubbed his furry head against his father's front paws, trying to soothe him with his actions.

"It's alright, it's alright, it's all over now. It was just that the beast was accidentally caught by the goblin and its magic core was damaged when it used magic."

The beast's magic froze off half of the goblin's arm! And those goblins are already dead.

Tata tried to describe the past events in a lighthearted tone, emphasizing how brave and capable she was at the time, and how tragically those goblins met their end.

She wanted to comfort her father through these actions.

Seeing his little monster become so well-behaved and even know how to comfort him, the old father felt as sweet as if he had been fed honey, but deep down he also felt an untimely bitterness.

While this is good, he and his wife's unruly little cub is still the best fit for him.

He should be lively, carefree, and without any worries.

The more Warcraft thought about it, the more indebted it felt.

"Father Beast, there's actually something else I haven't told you yet."

"What's up."

The monster watched the cub quietly, encouraging him to continue.

"Lay took the beast to see a human doctor with magic. The doctor said that only a water elemental stone of similar quality was needed to repair the crack in my magic core."

After Tata finished speaking, she saw her father finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"There's another reason why Lai agreed to send Seya back: Seya promised to give Lai a high-quality water elemental stone and also find a doctor from the Elf Kingdom to treat the beast."

"Why doesn't Ray just take you to a human doctor to get cured?"

Warcraft's words dealt a critical blow to the humans who were still on their way, and then the little Warcraft added insult to injury.

"Lay's family is poor and can't afford it."

Achoo! Achoo!

Lai, who was nearly a hundred miles away from the Warcraft father and son, sneezed twice.

Seyah looked at Lei.

Did you catch a cold last night?

Ray didn't think much of it; he didn't feel unwell, so it probably wasn't a cold.

"Thinking and cursing at the same time, maybe someone is cursing me behind my back."

Seyah found Lai's words interesting and couldn't help but continue to ask questions.

"That's an interesting way to put it. What about sneezing three or four times in a row?"

"That's a real cold."

"......"

The cub's answer was indeed a reason that the beast could not refute.

The monster looked at the cub's bulging belly; cubs like Tata at this stage have a high demand for meat.

Judging from the cub's words, the Lei family probably doesn't have much human currency, so how did he manage to raise the cub to be so plump?

The elderly father fell into deep thought.

Could it be because my parenting methods are wrong?

"Beast Daddy?"

"It's alright, as long as it can be cured."

"Father Beast, do we have any water elemental stones?"

"some."

The monster tore through space again with its claws, and dozens of elemental stones tumbled out.

"These are all for your future cultivation."

These elemental stones from Warcraft are quite large and of high purity. Water elemental stones are the most common, while other types are less so.

These elemental stones come in various colors; some are as blue as the sky, some are pure ice blue, and others are a fiery, intense red. One of them is a metallic color that Ray had once seen on the hilt of a bandit's knife, making it extremely rare.

These are all elemental stones collected by monsters over the past hundred years. The bad ones have already been used up, and what remains are all treasures.

Tata couldn't resist the attraction of the high-purity water element and rolled around several times among these elemental stones.

He looks like he's drunk.

The elderly father, who was watching from the side, couldn't help but chuckle a few times.

This is what a baby cub should look like!

Although Tata was engrossed in the pleasure of absorbing elemental stones, she quickly realized what was happening and stood up somewhat embarrassed.

Fortunately, the fur on its face was thick enough, otherwise the beast would have really lost face!

"Cough cough."

Tata raised her head with a demure air.

"Beast Daddy, hurry up and pack all of these away! Ray said that wealth should not be flaunted."

"good."

The monster laughed and put away all the elemental stones, then took out a large sapphire that was secured with a rope of some unknown material.

"This is a gift from Uncle Elf."

The monster tied a necklace inlaid with a large sapphire around the cub's neck.

The rope was immediately hidden in Tata's thick fur, leaving only the blue gem hanging below its neck. The little monster instantly gained a touch of nobility.

His and his wife's cub was indeed the most beautiful little monster in the forest.

It's not that the gems make the cubs look much better, but rather that the cubs themselves are the most unique beings, and the gems and other external things are just embellishments.

"It looks great."

Warcraft couldn't help but offer a compliment.

Tata's face was practically overflowing with smugness.

"Father Beast, where's Uncle Elf?"

Warcraft recalls the spring of the second year after the cubs were lost.

At that time, he had just finished chasing the two mortal beasts. Any magical beasts that dared to provoke him or that he didn't think much of were killed by him.

The arrival of the elves did not stop his frenzied bloodlust.

After learning about his experiences, the elf agreed to help him find the cub. After that, no one knew where the elf went, and there has been no news of him for several years.

"He went to look for you, but I don't know where he is now."

"All right."

Tata was somewhat disappointed.

Yes, we already have high-quality water elemental stones. If the elf were still here, the cracks on the cub's magic core could be healed immediately.

Warcraft was quite frustrated, having made a wrong move.

Although I'm reluctant to admit it, the healing magic of those elves was indeed very powerful.

Indeed, it's rare to find one among these magical beasts who uses healing magic.

"Beast Daddy".

"Um?"

The monster looked at the cub again.

"Since Uncle Elf isn't here, let's go find Lai and go to the Elf Kingdom together!"

Tata used her cuteness charm, blinking her big eyes at her father.

Tata's father, who already viewed Tata through the lens of his own father, was completely charmed by her.

He already had this idea in mind, so he readily agreed to the cub's request.

"good."

The little monster was happy with the monster's approval.

He was reluctant to part with Ray, yet he also didn't want to leave his father's side. If they could travel together, that would be the best possible outcome.

"Beast Daddy, shall we go find Ray now?"

Warcraft thought for a moment and nodded.

"Okay, let's go."

"Very good!"

The monster picked up the cub and took flight.

Soon all Tata could see from his feet were the towering canopies of trees in the Great Eton Forest.

In the distance were high mountains, and he and his father trampled birds under their feet. Every now and then, large birds with long beaks would fly past them.

After three days apart, Tata was excited about the upcoming reunion with Lai and Sai, and proud to have such a powerful father.

When his wings grow, one day he will be able to soar freely between heaven and earth, just like his father!

At this moment, the little monster was filled with lofty ambitions.

The monster flew with its cub in its mouth, without ever stopping.

They first went to the cave where Tata had been taken away, and then went to the train carriage.

There, the two horses' carcasses had been devoured, leaving only scattered bones and chunks of meat on the ground.

Upon seeing the carriage so clean it looked like it had been ransacked, Tata knew that Lei and Seyia had already left.

They did not give up and continued their search along the way.

The monster that Tata's father killed was so huge that it looked almost exactly the same from behind.

But when Tata and his group approached, the dozen or so demon wolves were so frightened by Tata's father's terrifying aura that they tucked their tails between their legs and fled.

The monster's abdomen had been basically hollowed out.

The monster didn't want Tata to get too close to the rotting corpse, as it smelled bad, so it carried the little monster Yuan Yuan around it.

"Beast Daddy, do you know where Ray and the others are?"

"I know, no need to rush. Their scent is quite strong."

"OK!"

It was already afternoon, and after a short lunch break, Lai and Seya regained some strength and continued on their way.

With the pendant space available, they saved a lot of effort and were basically able to travel light, but they were still very tired.

Seya felt like his legs were about to straighten out after walking for the past three days; his physical condition was better than Lai's.

It's easy to imagine that Ray, who is recognized as the weakest human among the major races, must have had an even harder time than him.

Both of them were driven by a fierce determination, and neither of them ever complained about how arduous the journey was.

Just like the past few days, they continued walking in the direction Tata's father had gone. The weather was getting hotter and hotter; although it was only spring, it felt like summer to them.

Wild grasses grow wild, flowers bloom in profusion, butterflies dance among the bushes, and birds perch in pairs on the branches, playing and singing to each other.

It was so hot that the two of them, who had been walking for most of the day, were covered in sweat.

"Take a few minutes' rest first."

Lei proposed it, and Seya had no objection.

"good."

The two found a safe place to rest, not daring to get too close to the bushes and overly dense grass, lest there be snakes inside.

Lei took a cucumber seed out of his pocket and used magic to make it grow rapidly, flower, and bear fruit.

We picked the four cucumbers with their flowers and thorns still attached, washed them, and shared them with Sayya, two each.

The bright green, sweet, and juicy cucumbers quickly quenched the thirst in both of their mouths.

Sayya had eaten countless exotic fruits, but never had he tasted anything as refreshing and delicious as today.

"Magic is still more convenient."

Seyia was feeling a little down.

Without magic, I am like a fish out of water, unable to do anything convenient, and needing others to take care of me.

Although he knew that the loss of magic was only temporary and that he would regain it upon returning to the Elven Kingdom, he still felt frustrated.

"Don't worry about that, you'll be able to regain your magic soon."

"Um."

Ray's words of comfort seemed to have some effect, but it also seemed not to.

After finishing one cucumber, Sayya put another one into his small bundle. Inside were a set of clothes, the food that Lai had given him, clean water, and life-saving medicine, in case the two of them accidentally got separated and he couldn't hold on until Lai came to find him.

Saiya got up, shook off the dust, and stretched.

Let's keep going!

"good."

Lei had rested enough. The two resumed their journey.

Before they had gone far, Saya noticed something was wrong. He pointed to the sky and told Lei that there was movement up there.

Elves have better senses than humans in every way, and Lei had no doubt about what Saiya said.

The two quickly found a big tree and hid there.

They are currently avoiding contact with any native magical beasts in the forest as much as possible. Only when they absolutely cannot avoid them will Lai consider taking action.

The commotion above grew louder and louder, and even Lai noticed the anomaly.

A sharp snapping sound came from the branches, and a huge object fell from the sky, landing dozens of meters away from them.

The dazzling white scales on the monster's body were familiar to both Lai and Seya; it was a monster called a Funeral Beast, but they didn't know if it was the same one they knew.

Ray desperately wanted that to be Tata's father.

"Ray! Ray! The beast is back!"

Tata's slightly childish voice rang out, and Lei and Seya simultaneously revealed themselves from behind the tree.

"Lei! Seya!"

The little monster was very excited, wagging its fluffy tail as it ran towards Laiyi.

Lai was somewhat surprised and exchanged glances with Tata's father.

There was an aura of neither side giving an inch as they clashed, until finally the two seemed to take a step back and both looked at the white fur ball running between them.

As an observer of this silent confrontation, Seya couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

"Ray, Ray!"

Tata had already run to Lai's feet. He hooked his tail around Lai's calf, and Lai bent over and ruffled the little monster's fur.

"Have you been a good boy/girl and obeyed your father?"

"Yes! She's super well-behaved!"

Seya sensed that Tata's father seemed somewhat unhappy about the interaction between Lai and Tata.

"Ahem, Tata, have you missed me?"

Seyya interjected to ease the awkward atmosphere.

"Amanta, come here to your father."

"Oh? Okay."

Tata quickly touched Seya's calf and then ran happily towards his father.

"Hello, my name is Ray Victor, and my race is human."

Lai took the initiative and politely introduced himself to the monster.

Warcraft's personality is as aloof as his appearance.

"Draven."

It is something to be very proud of to know the name of a high-level magical beast, as it proves that you have gained their recognition.

"Lord Draven, I am Seya from the Elf Kingdom."

Sayya introduced himself, his aristocratic manners still as elegant as ever.

Tata stood beside the monster, watching the harmonious interaction between Lei, Seya, and her father, and felt very satisfied.

“I learned from the cub that you have taken care of him over the past few years, and I am very grateful.”

The beast bowed its head in greeting, and Lai was flattered.

"You don't need to be so polite."

"The cub's magic core has malfunctioned, and there are no reliable doctors in the forest. I need to travel to the Elf Kingdom. I can accompany you and protect you on your journey."

The monster could have easily ignored Lai and Seya, but whether in response to the cub's plea or because he personally wanted to see Lai, he didn't.

"Thank you very much for your kindness, and we are also very grateful to you for saving us from the jaws of the monsters a few days ago."

The monsters saving Laiyi and Seya was just a side effect, but they couldn't let it go like that; they had to do something to show their gratitude.

Seya just watched as the monster and Seya, the biological father of a little monster and the... well, adoptive father of a little monster, exchanged polite words and repeated the same old things.

They were both calm and rational.

They were being overly polite, and the little monster was already yawning as it listened.

When do we set off?

Tata interrupted the pleasantries between the monster and the human, and Seya breathed a sigh of relief, silently giving the little monster a thumbs up.

Well done, Tata!

“I heard from Tata that your two horses are gone. I will find you new mounts.”

"Thank you for your kind offer."

Lai did not refuse Tata's father's kindness; they had indeed experienced many inconveniences without a means of transportation these past few days.

Hearing the promise from the monster, Seya was overjoyed.

"Beast Daddy, I need a mount that can pull a carriage. The carriage is very comfortable."

Tata's assist once again directly resolved the issue that Lei and Seymour couldn't bring themselves to discuss.

"Okay, then I can't take you with me, Tata. Have you thought it through?"

"It's alright, Lai will protect the beast!"

Warcraft was displeased that its cubs were showing such great trust in a weak human.

He remained outwardly calm, not foolish enough to directly deny the cub and cause it to lose face in front of others. However, more than the cub's guarantee, he needed a human's promise.

Laiyi naturally noticed the beast's hesitation.

"Lian, could you show yourself?"

The elementalist appeared on Lei's shoulder with a sour face.

These past few days, Lai and Sai have been walking, their steps unsteady, which has seriously disturbed His rest.

Warcraft's innate instinct for danger meant that Draven sensed a very subtle presence as soon as Ryan appeared.

He had a feeling he probably couldn't beat the little sprite. But he was also much more relieved that Tata would stay with the humans.

"Go back to the carriage, I will be back soon."

"good."

Draven was a little reluctant to part with his cub. He gently nuzzled the cub's head with the tip of his nose, leaving his scent on its head once more, before flapping his wings and flying away.

"As expected of the Funeral Beast!"

Seya exclaimed in admiration, and Lei was also shocked by Tata's father and sincerely praised him.

Beautiful and strong muscle lines, scales without a single impurity, beautiful horns, and powerful wings.

Lai looked at the fluffy little monster again. Would Tata grow up to be this powerful in the future?

He was somewhat uncertain.

"Tata?"

"Oh? What's up, Lei?"

"Let me touch your back."

"Okay!"

Lai searched the little monster's back several times, but couldn't find any part that could potentially turn into wings.

"Ray, are you looking for Tata's wings?"

"Seya asked."

When his purpose was discovered, Lei didn't feel embarrassed and readily admitted his intentions.

Then Seyya began to explain things to Lei.

"After entering puberty, the mortal beasts will undergo a second development, at which time they will shed their fur and grow wings that allow them to fly."

"This is truly a magical beast."

"Yes, Tata is a very precious little cub."

"Ray!"

"Um?"

"Let's go quickly!"

"good."

Lei and his group finally reunited, but the carriage was missing.

They walked slowly, and it got dark before long. They had to stop again to pitch their tents and cook.

Tata was so happy to eat such delicious cooked food again that she almost cried.

The night passed quickly, and Tata's father, who had been out all night, still hadn't returned.

Lei and his group continued their journey.

Seya was on night watch in the second half of the night, and his condition had been somewhat off since morning.

He told Ray that the atmosphere in the forest had been very strange since the latter half of last night, as if something was about to happen, making him feel very uncomfortable.

They asked Ryan and received the same answer. Ryan advised them to find a sturdy and secluded place to hide, and the cave He had taken them to before was a good choice.

Lai stopped and took out a map. The cave, the location of the attack, and their current location formed a triangle.

If they rush to the cave immediately, they might still make it in time.

Without hesitation, Lai stuffed all the items that were in the way onto the group into the pendant space.

And a small magic circle that increases speed is applied to everyone.

This requires Ray to use his own magic to maintain, and he doesn't know how long he can keep it up.

Since two people in the team had already predicted the situation, he listened to their intuition.

Even if it doesn't happen, it's always good to take precautions; it's better than regretting it when it's too late.

Lai and the others continued to run behind Ryan, and along the way, he did discover some unusual things.

It was morning, a beautiful sunny day, but dark clouds gradually gathered in the sky.

The birds chirped restlessly, creating a chaotic din that turned the entire forest into a bustling marketplace.

The wild birds in the forest used to be noisy, but definitely not like this now.

Lei felt a vague unease.

This scene looks like some kind of apocalyptic spectacle.

How much further?

Ray asked Ryan.

"One-third remains."

"good."

Just as Lei was relaxing a bit, a series of sounds suddenly came from behind them.

At first, the sound was not loud, just muffled, and the ground seemed to shake slightly.

But this shaking became more and more obvious over time, as if a thousand troops were passing by not far away.

Could it be an earthquake?

Lai suspected that if it was an earthquake, they shouldn't have taken shelter in that cave, or they would have been buried inside.

Moreover, there is a risk of rocks rolling down the mountain.

As if he had discovered something, Sayya began to scream.

"We're doomed! We're doomed! It's a beast tide! It's a beast tide!"

There are roughly several million animals of various kinds in the Great Forest of Eton.

If a beast tide breaks out, it will trigger a series of chain reactions.

Just like a snowball, which grows bigger and bigger, so too does the beast tide. Wherever the herd passes, more beasts will join in.

Ultimately, this led to an unstoppable crisis, with countless lives lost with each outbreak of beast tides.

We can only guide them, not stop them; they must find suitable refuge to avoid being drawn into the conflict.

"How unlucky! Lei, Tata, we need to run faster. We'd better be lucky enough that this beast tide's route doesn't reach this area, or none of us will survive!"

Lai also realized the danger lurking in Saiya's words and dared not delay, continuing to channel magic into the magic circle.

Hopefully, this will allow everyone to speed things up a bit.

"May the mother tree protect us, may the mother tree protect us from dying here."

Saiya kept muttering to himself.

Tata has good stamina and can still run, following behind Seya, while Lei is running at the very back of the group.

"Aww!"

The roar of a monster came from the sky. Tata recognized it as her father Draven's voice and immediately responded.

"Awooo!"

Beast Daddy, the beast is here!

Once the monster pinpointed the cub's location, it swooped down and stopped in front of Lai and the others.

"A beast tide has broken out, and tens of thousands of beasts are affected, running rampant in the forest. You must hide quickly."

"Would the previous cave be okay?"

"Okay, I'll lure away those monsters that have wandered in by mistake. There's no time to spare, I'll take you there."

Draven picked up the cubs, grabbed Ray and Seya with one of his two front paws, and flew them into the air.

Looking down from above, roughly to the west, a patch of pitch-black color stands out starkly among the green canopy of trees.

"Those are the beasts."

Seya gripped the monster's claw with one hand and pointed west with the other.

Compared to that, the few "small animal tides" in the small mountain village seem like a joke.

Draven was very fast, and in less than ten minutes he brought them to the vicinity of the cave.

He solemnly handed the little monster he was carrying in his mouth to Laiyi.

"Take good care of him."

"must."

The two fathers looked at each other and reached a kind of consensus in silence.

The monster didn't linger; it flew into the air and quickly disappeared.

The situation in the cave is indeed better than the previous location; the most obvious sign is that there is less noise.

This put Rye and the others at ease.

Everyone hid quietly inside the cave, speaking in hushed tones.

As darkness fell, the atmosphere in the forest remained solemn.

Lai took an axe and found a withered sapling near the cave, chopped it down, and brought it back to the cave. He boiled some water and then extinguished the campfire.

They ate the cold steamed buns and freeze-dried food with hot water, and each of them also made a cup of honey water to replenish their energy.

It was completely dark by then, and Lei and the others didn't dare turn on the lights, afraid of attracting the wandering beasts.

They remained trembling in the cave, surrounded by silence. But the divine intervention seemed to have no mercy on them; the rumbling sounds outside grew louder and louder, as if something was hurtling towards them.

Lei and Seymour's hearts were in their throats. They decided to continue running up the mountain, thinking it might be safer that way.

Just as they were about to leave, Tata's father appeared.

It was too dark, and the monster was high in the sky, so he couldn't see him at all, but Tata could easily recognize her father by his voice.

Suddenly, a blue magical beam shot down from the sky several miles away, causing the ground to vibrate even more violently.

At the same time, more blue beams attacked the ground, as if driving something to change its direction.

Through the vision transmitted by Ryan, Lei confirmed that it was Tata's father operating the system from the air.

He had no other choice but to use sheer force and magic to create ice walls on the ground to lure the beasts away.

There seemed to be many other flying magical beasts in the sky; it was unclear whether they were friend or foe.

Ryan also provided some assistance to Tata's father.

The footsteps of the beasts and the explosions of magic continued almost non-stop through the latter half of the night. None of the group slept until dawn, when the disaster gradually began to subside.

Ryan floated back, and despite the immense magical exertion he had endured, he showed no signs of fatigue.

Is this the power of an elementalist?

Saiya was filled with admiration.

Is it over?

"No, this is just the beginning. The herd has gone in another direction."

"roar!!!"

A roar of beasts, unlike anything heard before, echoed through the forest, and Ryan's expression was more serious than ever before.

Ray's heart began to pound uncontrollably because of that brief shout.

What was that sound?

"Ray asked."

"dragon."

Ryan and Seyia answered at the same time.
