Chapter 5 I Didn't Mean It

Chapter 5 I Didn't Mean It

Qin Yinghuai walked in in three or two steps, avoiding the glass shards on the ground, and picked up Ji Shian's suitcase with one hand.

Turning around, his eyes fell on Ji Shian's little face, which was pale with fear because he was caught red-handed. His tone rose a few degrees from "Ice Frozen Ten Thousand Miles". It was obvious that he was still furious, but his good upbringing prevented him from settling the score in front of outsiders.

Qin Yinghuai lowered his eyes to look at her, "Is there anything else you haven't taken?"

I was lazy this morning and didn't open my suitcase, so I can just leave the same way I came.

Ji Shian shook his head, feeling a bit relieved. He secretly glanced at the hotel owner who was slumped not far away, and felt that after he was dealt with, it would be his turn.

Ji Shian put on his down jacket and scarf obediently and quickly, pushing his suitcase and hurried to catch up with Qin Yinghuai.

The hotel owner watched the three people leave and knew that the flood had washed away the Dragon King Temple.

A gulu got up, nodded and bowed, apologized earnestly, squeezed out a few tears, and walked shamelessly in front of Ji Shian.

"Boss Qin, I'm so sorry. This lady is also very sorry. What happened today was truly an accident. Please don't be angry. You will get sick if you get angry."

"How about this? I'll call the front desk right now and have them refund the entire cost of your stay... and double the amount!"

"Calling the police is such a hassle. We can resolve this privately. Why waste our time, resources, and energy..."

Upon hearing this, Ji Shian turned his head to look at Qin Yinghuai's expression, smiled innocently at the hotel owner, and then slipped away.

Are you kidding? Not only did the boss not put out the fire when he was already furious, he also wanted her to add fuel to the fire.

hehe.

Qin Yinghuai saw that the man remained unmoved in the face of the financial onslaught, and his expression relaxed. He gave Yan Che a look without saying a word.

Yan Che understood and asked the hotel owner to go and handle the follow-up matters. Before leaving, he did not forget to return the dumplings to Ji Shian.

Yan Che weighed the weight in his arms and asked curiously:

"Can you eat so much?"

Ji Shian closed his eyes with difficulty, felt his back sink, and nodded painfully.

Brother Yan, stop gossiping at this time and go quickly.

Yan Che got the answer and floated away with a look of surprise on his face.

Ji Shian, who was forced to be alone with his boss, was as quiet as a quail, fearing that he would say something wrong and be scolded.

When others lose their temper, they get furious, but the angrier Qin Yinghuai gets, the calmer he becomes, just like the calm before the storm.

Ji Shian looked at Qin Yinghuai's current expression and made a weather forecast:

A Category 13 typhoon is about to land, please take shelter.

Qin Yinghuai opened the car door, bent down and sat down, loosened his tie, and his mind was a little confused.

Originally, this hotel was not the intended target. In fact, it was an undercover employee of Feishenglai Chengyue who secretly added the name of this hotel to the list of people to be inspected after receiving the order.

The CEO of Feisheng Group is a young psychopath who has always disliked Qin Yinghuai. He does these little tricks for no other reason than to deliberately disgust Qin Yinghuai.

Qin Yinghuai had almost finished his work, and seeing that the weather forecast said it would snow heavily in a few days, he suddenly decided to take advantage of the good weather today and go around the nearby hotels that needed to be inspected, to spread the word and get some evidence so that he could get rid of the undercover agent in a natural way.

Who would have thought...

He looked down at his special assistant who was holding three boxes of dumplings and was as quiet as a chicken, wishing he could crawl into the ground. He felt a headache.

Has he exploited his employees to the point where they have to lie and ask for sick leave in order to rest?

After a long moment, he sighed and tapped his fingers on his legs: "Assistant Ji, can you explain?"

The heater in the car was turned up to maximum. Ji Shian had already taken off his coat and folded it neatly aside. When he was called, he subconsciously looked up, and the two of them looked at each other in silence through the rearview mirror.

The atmosphere inside the car is not very good.

The scene of being caught was too horrifying and too unexpected. Ji Shian's head was full of garbled codes that he hadn't been able to decipher yet. He really didn't know how to find an excuse for his bad behavior of deceiving his superiors and subordinates. His brain was in a semi-downtime state.

It wasn't until Yan Che came back after dealing with the aftermath and knocked on the car window that she deflated like a punctured ball, and her mind went blank as she blurted out something completely irrelevant.

"How about I make you some coffee?"

Qin Yinghuai was so angry that he laughed and blurted out, "Then send me to the hospital, right?"

The plots that challenged his worldview these days kept running around in his mind, making him feel quite irritable, and subconsciously, plots related to coffee emerged in his mind.

[The delicate girl was startled, her soft and boneless hands trembled, and the exquisite and gorgeous cup accidentally slipped out of her hands, and the scalding hot coffee spilled on the young president's expensive suit jacket.

Qin Yinghuai's exposed skin instantly flushed, but his innate pride prevented him from uttering a scream unbecoming of his status. Faced with such a storm, he remained calm as his secretary, Yan Che, rushed him to the ambulance. He regretted missing this year's grand economic development seminar.

Ji Shian huddled in the cramped rental apartment, feeling deeply sad. She hadn't expected things to turn out this way. She truly didn't mean it!

Qin Yinghuai pinched his forehead with a headache, thinking about how to explain the illogical words he had just said.

Yan Che, who had just opened the car door and was about to get in, was nailed to the spot. He racked his brains but couldn't keep up with the two people's thoughts.

For a moment, the temperature in the car dropped a lot.

Although Yan Che didn't know why Ji Shian lied, he knew in his heart that he was not a willful person. However, Director Qin was angry, and if he spoke, it would only add fuel to the fire.

So Yan Che watched with great interest.

Ji Shian didn't care that he was being treated like a monkey. His eyes lit up surprisingly and he shouted excitedly in his mind:

[Tongzi, Tongzi!]

[I still remember what he just said. Was it the plot where the heroine spilled coffee on the hero, causing him to get burned and miss a very important economic seminar?]

The system was also a little stunned at this time, and made a stupid "ah" sound, doubting:

[Yes, is that so?]

It has to be.

Ji Shian's smile was very empty.

After a moment's hesitation, he said, "It would be bad if you missed the seminar."

Qin Yinghuai's pupils suddenly shrank.

When Ji Shian raised his eyes, he missed the other party's imperceptible surprise. Later, he tried to catch Qin Yinghuai's abnormal reaction, but unfortunately he had returned to his usual calm demeanor, except that the silent low pressure had inexplicably dissipated a little.

In this case, being speechless is also a form of feedback.

But without a direct answer, Ji Shian felt uneasy.

Not giving up, he continued to test the waters: "I didn't actually turn on the lights, but they all blew up."

Therefore, the hotel owner's excuse that the filament overheated and the light bulb exploded when the door was opened and came into contact with the air conditioning is simply impossible, no matter whether it is reasonable or not.

A ridiculous idea quietly took root in Qin Yinghuai's mind, but he remained expressionless.

He suppressed his thoughts and hummed to comfort himself, then gestured for Yan Che to drive away first.

Yan Che immediately suppressed his gossipy expression and said seriously, "Going to the company or not?"

"Where does Ji Tezhu want to go?"

Qin Ying met Ji Shian's gaze in the rearview mirror and asked for her opinion.

Seeing that his boss didn't get angry, Ji Shian felt as if the matter was over. He breathed a sigh of relief with a hint of regret in his heart, and rubbed his face as if he had survived a disaster.

"Company."

It's time to confront the boss.

So Assistant Ji, who had just been on vacation for less than a day, showed up at the company again, bringing her suitcase with her.

Employees who were unaware of the situation gathered together to discuss:

"Wasn't Ji Tezhu sick? Why is he back again?"

"He's pushing this suitcase. Did he just come back from the hospital?"

"I'm going to start working right after my body has recovered. Is Assistant Ji a robot?"

"She's a role model for my generation. No wonder she gets the company's highest year-end bonus every year."

"Assistant Ji should take care of his health."

Ji Shian responded to the various greetings from his colleagues with a sociable smile.

I broke down and screamed in my heart.

I came to work at the company pushing my suitcase, late but still arrived.

Is her mouth blessed?

He followed Qin Yinghuai in a daze, but was stopped just as he was about to enter the office.

What happened? After taking a leave, I was deprived of the right to enter the office?

Ji Shian, without knowing the consequences, kept looking at the cricket boss in his heart with dead eyes.

"Let's go eat first." Qin Yinghuai's cold eyes fell on the packaging box.

Ji Shian realized later that she had actually taken the food to the boss's car.

Hiss, Ji Tezhu has made great progress.

Ji Shian couldn't help but look surprised.

Qin Yinghuai was silent for a moment: "This is not my last meal, there is no need to be so... ready to die."

"Eat slowly, we'll chat later."

Ji Shian was startled, smiled at people embarrassedly, nimbly slipped into his own lounge, and began to inhale violently.

Ji Shian stuffed a corn and pork dumpling into his mouth and smacked it.

[Tong, can you let others know about your existence?]

[There are no relevant regulations or precedents. But the question is, after you say that, will you really not be happy to get a VIP suite in a mental hospital?]

Any refusal without explicit denial will be handled as deemed feasible by Ji Special Assistant.

Ji Shian touched his chin, and his rosy face turned mysterious.

[Raise the thousand fans, use the unified time, then it's your turn to take action.]

The system looked at Ji Shian's finger hovering over the return order button, and nodded with heartache for the sake of milk biscuits.

[Okay.]

Stretching your neck is a knife attack, and retracting your neck is also a knife attack.

After eating his fill, Ji Shian stopped struggling in vain.

"Enter."

Su Qi and Jian Xun were reporting on their work when they heard someone knocking on the door and stopped.

Qin Yinghuai turned his head and pointed to the sofa for the meeting room, asked Ji Shian to sit first, and then signaled the two to continue.

Ji Shian put his hands behind his back and sat upright on the sofa, staring at the metal ornaments on the coffee table with a calm expression until he was almost dizzy, and ignored the content of his colleague's report.

"Okay, I understand. Next, let's work out the specific plan. As things get complicated near the end of the year, we'll have to try not to make any mistakes."

Su Qijianxun: "Okay, Mr. Qin."

Qin Yinghuai nodded, "Go ahead."

The two of them left without looking around and closed the door carefully.

Ji Shian took out the milk tea he had prepared in advance from the blind spot of Su Qi and the others, respectfully inserted a straw and handed it to the person.

Ever since she accidentally discovered that Qin Yinghuai didn't like coffee because he feared the bitterness, she always carried two candies in her pocket.

When the boss is unhappy, present two of them, and the wind and rain that follow will be milder, at least not affecting the normal travel of residents.

If you drink my milk tea, please keep your voice down when you scold me.

"You don't want to drink?"

Ji Shian stared at Qin Yinghuai eagerly, seemingly unaware of his own arrogant attitude.

Qin Yinghuai sneered at her smooth movements. Not only did he not reach out to take it, he even dodged it. He squinted at his assistant, who was so bold yet unaware of it, and asked, "How are you going to explain it?"

Ji Shian hesitated slightly, "Then you should be mentally prepared."

Qin Yinghuai raised his eyebrows.

That doesn't sound like a good thing.

Thinking of the inexplicable conversation between the two in the car and the inexplicable plot that appeared in his mind, Qin Yinghuai closed his eyes and raised his hand to signal.

Ji Shian nodded to the system in his mind: [Let’s get started.]

The next second, the level of the milk tea on the table dropped at an alarming speed.

Qin Yinghuai leaned back in surprise. Even though he had made sufficient mental preparation, he couldn't help but feel a little broken at this moment.

After more than ten seconds, Qin Yinghuai's thoughts came back to him and his surprise subsided. His face turned a little dark, and it seemed as if a storm was coming.

He slowly said:

"Isn't the milk tea for me?"
