Chapter 59: No more secret kisses

Chapter 59: No more secret kisses

Sewell squeezed the pillow, his brain racing.

Generally speaking, Mr. Mage's unreasonable grumpiness when waking up can be ignored. A bad-tempered Mr. Mage is very reasonable and rarely takes his anger out on others.

The current situation is a bit bad, and he is not sure what the wizard is angry about.

Could it be...

"Oh, you know it yourself." Darien sat on the bed, his cold eyes stabbing at Mr. Crow like a knife.

"Please forgive me, my dear master." Sewell walked over quickly and knelt on one knee beside Darien's bed. "I shouldn't have asked for a goodnight kiss while you were unconscious."

He lowered his head with an extremely respectful attitude, but the words that came out of his mouth were very bold.

"Hmm... hm? Hmm!" Darien's reaction was a little slow.

That's not what he was talking about... Wait, what goodnight kiss?

"Please forgive my recklessness..." Seville seemed to want to stand up.

"Get out! I don't want to listen! Get out!" Darien frowned and tried to look disgusted.

But a hint of red crept up his neck from his wide-open collar, and soon crawled from his cheeks to the corners of his eyes.

"Okay, dear master, what would you like to eat for breakfast?" Sewell still lowered his head and eyes.

"I don't want to eat! Get out!" Darien picked up another pillow and threw it at him.

Seville caught it steadily and took advantage of the gap to lift his eyelids and take a peek.

Darien caught that look, gave him a stern glare and quickly got under the covers.

Wait! Why is he the one hiding? He didn't do anything bad!

"Are you shy?" Seville's voice came from outside the quilt, sounding a little blurry in his ears.

Darien, covered in the quilt, immediately realized that this was a reaction of shyness, and his mood quickly turned into anger.

"You're the shy one!" Darien quickly lifted the quilt, and the entire quilt covering his body flew onto Sevier's head.

Pop.

The quilt fell on Sevier's head, covering him completely, and Darien snapped his fingers.

The quilt that had just bulged out quickly collapsed, and a moment later a large crow with shiny feathers emerged from underneath.

Their eyes met, and Darien snorted coldly, pulled the pillow and quilt back onto the bed, rolled up the quilt and continued to sleep.

The big crow standing on the ground pondered for a while, flapped its wings a few times and flew to Darien's pillow, combing his angry hair with its beak.

Darien silently pulled up the quilt and wrapped himself in it.

The big crow that was isolated outside thought for a moment, then shamelessly opened the quilt and crawled in. Mr. Wizard was quite tolerant of crows, so at most he would just throw him out.

Darien felt two gentle pecks on the top of his head, and then something rubbed against his cheek and squeezed into his quilt.

It smells like birds.

The shameless crow not only got in, but also found a good place - it sat down on Darien's shoulder socket, and its round and plump ball pricked Darien's neck, making it extremely itchy.

"You are so shameless." Darien clenched his hands, lifted the quilt and sat up.

He held a huge crow in his hand. The crow's belly was bulging and felt very nice to touch.

"Quack." The big crow looked at him without any hesitation, as if saying, "I'm just a crow."

They remained in this state for a while until there was a knock on the door.

"Darian! Are you up? We're just about to have breakfast!" Glenn's voice came from outside the door.

"Get up." Darien threw the crow in his hand and got off the bed.

The crow was thrown into the air, flapped its wings twice, and flew back like a boomerang, landing directly on his shoulder.

The crow was so big that it weighed down his left shoulder.

The expression on Darien's face fell. He pinched the raven's tail feathers, grabbed him and threw him back to the ground.

With a slight bang, the crow landed on the ground and created a cloud of smoke. The mist dissipated and Seville regained his human form.

"It won't happen again." Darien said coldly.

But his cold and slightly pink face was really not convincing.

"Okay, dear master. From now on, I will definitely follow your advice. Then dear master, would you like to give me a good morning kiss like a feather?" The expression on Seville's face was very respectful.

"No." Darien didn't forget that he was still angry and rejected his request bluntly.

"Okay, master." Sewell smiled and changed his coat.

After changing their clothes, they went downstairs to look for breakfast with Leonard and Glenn.

There is a small shop next to the hotel. It has a small stove with a cast iron pot on top, in which mutton offal soup is stewed.

In another flat iron pan, thin wheat cakes fried with butter were being baked. The flour was not very pure, and contained some bran and large wheat grains, so the color of the cakes looked brown.

There are so few choices here that it is very friendly to those with decision-making difficulties.

"I want a dozen pancakes and two large bowls of mutton soup. Whatever you want, put it on my account," said Leonard.

"Me too," Glenn said.

"I want a bowl of mutton soup and two pancakes," said Darien.

"What about you?" the shopkeeper asked Seville who was lagging behind.

"Same as him." Sewell nodded.

"Give him two more pancakes," said Darien.

"Okay." The owner took out a few bowls from the cabinet and poured them some hot mutton soup.

The shop was too small and there were only two tables, and the four of them occupied one.

It was still early and there were not many people around, so they simply started discussing their revenge plan for today.

"Did you come up with a specific plan last night?" Leonard said in a low voice.

"Of course, let's do this first, and then that." Darien blew on the still hot mutton offal soup.

"What's this, what's that?" Glenn was confused.

"Let's find a place where there is no one," said Sewell.

"You're right!" Leonard picked up the soup and took a big gulp. It was so hot that his tongue almost fell into the soup.

The mutton offal soup is milky white in color, and some white radish slices are added to it. It tastes very fresh and sweet.

The shop owner behind them grabbed some dough, rolled it into a ball in his hand, and tossed it into the boiling pot.

The thin bread was quickly cooked in the pan, and the aroma of barley and butter penetrated their nostrils.

"Boss, I want all the cakes you sell here!" A voice came from the empty table next to them.

"I'm so hungry, when can I eat?"

These two voices seem familiar.

Darien turned his head and saw Kenneth and Jenny Piggy. Why were they here too?

When he looked over, they looked back.

"Oh, what a coincidence! Are you here to buy wine too?" Kenneth said in surprise.

"No, we are here to deal with profiteers," Darien replied.

"There's no such thing as a profiteer. You're just... uh uh..." Before Kenneth could finish his words, Jenny Piglet jumped up and covered his mouth with her hand.

"I heard it, haha, you're done." Darien let go of the spoon expressionlessly, and with a snap, the soup splashed everywhere.

"Dear master, your shirt." Sewell looked at Darien with a worried look.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that we beat him up right now." Darien said expressionlessly.

"Okay, master." Sewell stood up and reached out to grab Kenneth.

"Don't hit me!" Kenneth squatted down with his head in his hands.

"Can you hit me a little softer?" Jenny Pig couldn't bear it and covered her eyes with her hands, but left a big gap.

Sewell looked at Darien, his eyes asking, "Do you still want to fight?"

Darien was actually a little amused by his stupidity and shook his head.

"Get up, what are you doing here?" he said to Kenneth.

"We are here to attend the wine festival with Miss White Stork. Miss White Stork wants to buy lots of raisins and wine. Celia is here too. They haven't gotten up yet. Jenny is hungry, so we came out to get breakfast first." Kenneth replied.

Jenny Pig came to their table and asked Leonard, "Can I have your cake? I'm so hungry."

Glenn quickly pushed the pancake on the table over and said, "Eat it, eat it. Be careful, it's hot."

Jenny Pig happily sat on the chair and ate the delicious buttered wheat cakes.

"Are you free today? I have a favor to ask of you." Darien suddenly had a good idea.

With a ready-made thief in front of him, and the merchants Miss White Stork and Queen Bee Celia who were not present, he thought about how to give the unscrupulous businessman who had cheated Leonard a good beating.

"I can, I have time." Kenneth nodded, "But I need to take some breakfast back to Miss White Stork and Celia first, and ask if they are willing to do it."

"Of course." Darien nodded.

While the owner was making pancakes, they finished their breakfast, packed up two pancakes and mutton soup, and then went to the hotel where Miss White Stork and her friends were staying to look for them.

Miss White Stork was surprised to meet them here, and Celia was very happy and wanted to pull Darien aside to share her experiences along the way.

It was still morning, so there was plenty of time. The shopkeepers in the spice market would not open until after noon, so they still had time to catch up.

It had been almost two months since we last met, and Celia had changed a lot.

She became much more lively, and her temperament became closer to Jenny the Pig. She loved to laugh and make noises, and was no longer the obedient little girl in Hallownest.

Darien was very tolerant of children. He listened carefully to Celia's story of her adventures and praised her for being a smart and brave girl.

Celia jumped up with joy and gave him a big hug, almost breaking his ribs.

"Okay, okay, now it's time to discuss the plan to deal with unscrupulous businessmen." Darien rubbed his ribs and kept breathing in and out to relax himself.

Leonard briefly recounted his experience of being cheated and successfully aroused everyone's sympathy.

"You are indeed in such a pity." Miss White Stork shook her head and patted his shoulder. "I will help you with this."

"Then our first step is to get the hair and blood of that profiteer. This step is a bit difficult. What should we do? Should we just knock him out first?" asked Darien.

"Well, I think I can help. No need to knock him out, I have a way." Celia raised her hand.
