Chapter 82 Ghosts Get Involved in a Melee

Chapter 82 Ghosts Get Involved in a Melee

"Where did this guy go?" Mrs. Fitch also came over after hearing the noise.

"It sounds like it's in the backyard. There doesn't seem to be anything in the backyard?" Darien said confusedly.

"There's a well in the backyard," Sewell said.

"Oh my God! How could Leon be so stupid? He actually fell into the well!" Mrs. Fitch screamed and hurried over.

Darien and Sevier quickly followed, leaving Fitch alone to face the mountain of goods.

Fitch and the driver looked at each other, and finally said, "I'll pay more!"

When Darien caught up with Mrs. Fitch, she was halfway in the well.

He quickly took two steps forward, and he and Sevier, one on each side, pulled Mrs. Fitch out of the well like pulling a carrot.

"I don't know what happened, but as soon as I saw this well, I wanted to jump in." Mrs. Fitch's apron was askew when she was pulled out, and she hurried to straighten it.

"Is this well so attractive?" Darien also wanted to stick his head over to take a look.

"It was a very strange attraction. I just wanted to throw a rope down to pick up Leon, but for some reason I fell down myself. Fortunately, I love food." Mrs. Fitch pinched her belly.

"I'm glad you're okay, Seville, hold me, I also want to see what's in the well." said Darien.

"Okay, master." Seville immediately stepped forward and held his waist.

"Where's Leon? Why is he silent?" Mrs. Fitch said, "It was too dark when I looked down just now. I didn't see him at all. To be more precise, I didn't see anything."

"I... gurgle gurgle... I... gurgle... I'm..." Leon's weak voice came from the bottom of the well.

It sounds like it's almost done.

"Give me the rope first, I don't want to watch it anymore." Darien slapped Sevier's hand away.

"Okay, master." For some reason, Seville's voice sounded a little regretful.

A rope was quickly thrown into the well, and Leon grabbed the rope and was pulled up by them.

"Ugh—" As soon as half of Leon's body was pulled out, he spat out a mouthful of water with green algae.

provoke.

Darien turned his back, unable to bear to look closely.

"Great! You look like you're okay!" Mrs. Fitch gave a final strong pull and pulled out Leon's lower half.

"I feel... something's wrong..." Leon grumbled again and spit out a large mouthful of well water.

"How did you fall?" Darien said.

"A voice called me and told me to look into the well. I couldn't resist my curiosity and looked into the well, and then I was at the bottom of the well," said Lyon.

"Sounds like there's a ghost living in this well," Darien said. "We have a wonderful week ahead of us, and I don't want anything to interrupt my wonderful vacation. Sewell, help me."

He tried again to look at the bottom of the well.

Sewell gripped his waist tightly and he looked down.

A face looked directly at him.

It was his own face reflected in the water; there was no one at the bottom of the well.

Darien blinked, and his reflection in the water blinked too, and everything seemed normal.

Maybe the souls living at the bottom of the well bully the weak and fear the strong, so they only dare to bully Lyon and Mrs. Fitch, but not a magician.

Tsk tsk, it’s quite shameless when you think about it.

Darien touched his pocket, took out a bottle of revealing potion and sprinkled it in. If there really was a ghost inside, this potion would make it appear anywhere.

"Pull me up, it won't dare to make trouble again. If it does, I will turn it into foam." Darien threatened the invisible ghost slightly.

"Oh no! We're all here! No one is left to help unload the goods, and Fitch is so weak!" Mrs. Fitch screamed, then picked up her skirt and rushed out.

Darien and Sevier hurried to follow.

Only Leon was left lying alone on the ground basking in the sun, but it didn't matter, he was not a human, he was just a wooden wall clock, he should bask in the sun to dry himself.

Fitch and the driver had already unloaded most of the food they had bought.

"How long do you plan to live here? Are you planning to open a restaurant nearby? Running a restaurant business here may not be very good," said the driver.

"No, this is what we eat ourselves," Fitch replied.

"Is it a noble lord who comes here for vacation? These foods are prepared for twenty servants, right? It must be, right?" The coachman's tone became more and more certain.

Fitch didn't answer him.

Mrs. Fitch came and helped Sevier unload the remaining food and take it all back to the kitchen.

"Today's lunch is Stemino Plain style! Look what I bought!" Mrs. Fitch pulled a cookbook from under her apron. "Twang, twang! It's a cookbook!"

"Great!" Darien clapped his hands cooperatively.

"I need a lot of help, so you have to come and help." Mrs. Fitch nodded at them.

Pluto barked a few times at their feet.

"Not including you." Seville lowered his head and said to it with a smile.

"So what are we having for lunch today?" Darien said.

"Let me take a look." Mrs. Fitch was not sure either.

So Darien went to see the pile of food they had bought.

Vegetables and fruits accounted for a relatively large part of it. Almost all the fruits were bought by him and Seville, and the vegetables were all bright products of the season, including tomatoes, eggplants, celery, carrots and peas, which were all Darian's favorite vegetables.

Cured meats include ham and various salami flavors, while fresh meats include beef and oxtail, as well as a whole chicken and a whole goose.

In addition to vegetables, fruits and meat, there are also whole wheels of hard cheese and a bucket of milk balls soaked in whey.

Other than that it's just some beans and seasoning.

These are all the foods. There are not too many types, but the quantity of each one is a bit scary.

"I want some honeydew melon wrapped with ham slices, with some cheese from the barrel," Darien said.

"Of course, I think we should also roast some figs to go with the cheese. And I thought we should also have a Margherita pizza, tomato stewed oxtail, tomato stewed beans, and tomato cold soup for lunch today." Mrs. Fitch closed the cookbook.

"Do we have to kill all the tomatoes today?" Darien asked.

"I think this was a premeditated tomato purge," Sewell said.

"What a mess! This is the unique flavor of the Stemino Plain!" Mrs. Fitch was very dissatisfied with what they said.

"Well, luckily I don't hate tomatoes," Darien shrugged.

"So you should get moving now! Help me wash all the ingredients!" Mrs. Fitch waved a rolling pin that she had taken out from somewhere.

Darien was assigned the task of chopping tomatoes and he had to wait until Sewell had washed all the tomatoes.

"Cut these tomatoes into slices, cut these into segments, and don't cut these yet. I need to cook them first." Mrs. Fitch divided the washed tomatoes into several piles.

Darian listened carefully and then cut all the tomatoes beautifully.

Sewell was helping Mrs. Fitch watch the pot. He had already finished his previous job, and now it was to make sure the tomato soup didn't stick to the bottom of the pot.

Fitch was cutting sausages, ham and honeydew melon in an inconspicuous corner, while Mrs. Fitch was kneading dough on the chopping board.

Everyone had their own things to do, so they were immersed in their own atmosphere and paid less attention to the strange things happening in the kitchen.

The ghost that had just been at the bottom of the well slipped in quietly, leaving obvious water stains on the floor, and its body was completely invisible.

But this was not because Darien's reappearance potion did not work, but because the ghost was not in the well when Darien spread the potion, but quietly followed them.

The sun was shining brightly outside, and Darien and the others stepped on the water on the ground, leaving a series of footprints. The footprints were so chaotic and quickly dried up that no one noticed that a ghost had sneaked in.

Darien was still chopping the last few tomatoes when Pluto suddenly tugged at his trouser leg.

He lowered his head and saw that Pluto's furry dog face was twisting in one direction, but he didn't bark. Instead, he was hinting that he should look over there.

Darien quietly put down the knife and glanced in the direction Pluto indicated.

There was a trail of wet footprints on the ground.

The footprints lead to their food, where vegetables, fruits, cheese and sausages are kept.

Darien walked over quietly and suddenly said, "I saw you! Come out quickly!"

As he spoke he suddenly threw out a handful of fairy dust.

The sparkling crystal dust all fell on the pile of food, and the ghost lying on it secretly immediately revealed its true form.

It was a translucent man, pinching cactus fruits and tomatoes in his hands, turning around and looking at him in surprise.

"How did you know I was here!" the man shouted as he flew up, knocking the spatula and pot hanging on the wall to the ground, making a loud clanging sound.

This guy clearly did it on purpose. Ghosts are usually transparent and invisible, but he knocked over a bunch of kitchen utensils and even deliberately knocked the cupboard crooked.

The fragile porcelain inside made a crisp sound.

Sewell quickly reached out to help prevent the entire cabinet from falling to the ground.

"Who did this little thief come from? How dare you make trouble in the kitchen!" Mrs. Fitch was furious and was about to hit him with a rolling pin.

Darien was also angry. The vegetables and fruits on the surface were ruined beyond recognition. He picked up a spatula, sprinkled the invisibility potion on it, and ran out with Mrs. Fitch.

"You're doomed if I catch you!" Mr. Wizard was extremely angry. He swore to make this dead soul die again!

The ghost being chased screamed and bumped around in the house, turning the beautiful and tidy farmhouse into a mess. The sofa was knocked into the corner, the curtains were tied into several knots, and the clay vase was broken on the ground...

Mr. Mage's rage doubled, his voice nearly breaking through the roof: "You're finished! I swear I will turn you into a rat! I'll make you run around in the wheel like a rat!"

Mrs. Fitch's voice followed closely behind: "What did the mouse do wrong! You can't turn him into a mouse! Mice are so cute! You should turn him into a donkey and tie him to a millstone to grind wheat every day!"
