Chapter 94 Let’s go together

Chapter 94 Let’s go together

In addition to the Time Stone, Darien also brought some savings from hundreds of years of business.

Everything is ready and we can set off immediately.

"What are these?" Darien looked at the pile of luggage that suddenly appeared out of thin air on the ground.

"These are certainly essential items for travel," Mrs. Fitch's voice rang out.

Darien turned his head and saw Mrs. Fitch and Fitch appear next to the vase. Turning his head again, he found Pluto sneaking into the box and trying to pass himself off as luggage.

"Darian, I hope you can take us all with you. We have been together for so many years and have become inseparable from each other. We must go to such an important event." said Leon hanging on the wall.

"Did you tell them everything?" Darien narrowed his eyes and looked directly at the culprit, Sevier.

"We are all worried about you." Sewell said with a smile.

"Yes, we are all very worried about you. If you can't come back, we will all be very sad. So since there is such a risk, it is better for us not to come back together." Mrs. Fitch said.

"Don't say that. I won't be unable to come back." Darien's face turned even darker.

"Will you allow us to go with you? We have already packed all our luggage. You will not be used to the life there, will you? How can you survive without our care?" said Sewell.

"I don't like the way you talk. Say it again." Darien rolled his eyes at him.

"Can you take us with you? We really can't leave you. You are the beacon of the tower. Without you, we don't know what to do. Please take us with you." Sewell said again.

“No…” Leon opened his mouth to speak.

"Shut up." Mrs. Fitch gave him a look, and Fitch flew over and grabbed Leon's mouth.

"We all want to continue following you." Seville's attitude was sincere but his intentions were ill-intentioned.

"I allow it." Darien nodded. "Hurry up, or we'll have guests."

"I'm so glad you agreed to this." Sewell came forward and hugged him.

"Ouch." Mrs. Fitch covered her eyes, but her claws left a big gap.

"Fitch, what are you doing? My eyes, I can't see." Leon's eyes were covered by Fitch.

"What are you looking at! Close your eyes, everyone." Darien's face flushed red and he slapped Sevier hard, but Sevier hugged him tighter.

This one-sided awkwardness lasted for a while, and Sevier finally let go of Darien, who angrily stepped on him hard.

Originally he was setting out alone, but now he was traveling with his family. Darian was a little worried that such a group of people would be too conspicuous.

The Plantagenet Gate is usually only open to guests, who can come whenever they want, but there are very strict restrictions on Darien. Unless he goes out with guests, the Plantagenet Gate is very stingy in restricting his going out.

This door can lead to any place with a door at any time, and Darian decides to force it open and go back to the past.

A whole box of carefully polished time stones were inlaid one by one on the gorse door. The stamens that were originally inlaid with glass were illuminated by the time stones. Starting from the stamens, the veins of the entire gorse door were lit up with a faint luster.

"Let's go. We should be able to go back to the time I want to go back to." Darien closed the box. There was still a small half of the time stone inside.

They walked together with their luggage through the open gorse door, and the light faded away, and they walked into shadow.

"Where are we?" Mrs. Fitch's vision suddenly went dark. "Is it dark now?"

"No, we are in the alley now." Darien was also a little uncomfortable with the sudden darkness. He blinked his eyes before adapting to the light.

"We have to find a hotel first, dear master. Are you familiar with this place? Which direction should we go?" asked Seville.

"Let me think about it. It's been so long, I almost forgot about it. Seville, take out the map and take a look." Darien said.

Seville took out a map and they easily found a medium-sized hotel at the next intersection.

Spanning hundreds of years, the surrounding buildings and people seem to have been dug out of history books. The king who founded the Rose Dynasty had not yet been born, and it was still the era of the Lily Dynasty. The currency used was also different.

The coins Darien prepared were not much, only enough for them to stay here for two months.

"Dear guests...where are you from?" The hotel owner's eyes almost popped out when he saw their clothes.

"We are from the other side of the continent. We are businessmen who came here to do business." Darien lied seriously.

"No wonder you're dressed so strangely." The innkeeper looked at Darien and then at Sewell.

You are the weird ones, Darien thought to himself.

He hadn't worn such clothes for a long time: a robe with a skirt-like hem, pants that were short to the knees, white socks that tightly wrapped above the calves, and high-heeled leather shoes... But in order to fit in here, they would have to become so strange later.

Darien got the room key smoothly. It was a double room suite with a small living room. As soon as they entered the room, they quickly opened the suitcases. Leon and Pluto were almost suffocating.

"This place looks really old-fashioned," Mrs. Fitch commented. "Look at the walls, they're mottled and yellowed, and there are these little window panes, white cloth bed curtains, and rough branch headboards. I've only seen them in books."

"This house is pretty good. I lived in a worse place when I was a child," said Darian.

"What was your childhood like?" asked Sewell.

"It's in an orphanage with mud walls. It's not a very good place." Darien said only this and didn't go on.

"Dear Darien, I really want to give you a hug, right now." Mrs. Fitch jumped down from the back of the chair, climbed up his trouser legs, and touched his cheek with her cool bearded nose.

"Thank you for your comfort, Mrs. Fitch. I feel much better. And it's been a long time. It's not that bad." Darien said indifferently.

"How are you doing during this time? Can we meet you?" asked Sewell.

"He's still a little kid, all he can do is squat under the grapevines and count ants," said Darien.

"Can we come find you? I want to bring you some candy and cakes," said Sewell.

"No need to send it. Even if you send it, it won't reach his hands." Darien said.

"There was a hateful person bullying you, right? I'm going to bury him." A cold light flashed in Seville's eyes.

"You can't change the past because it will affect the future." Darien looked at him and said.

"It's just some snacks and candies, so it shouldn't be a problem, right? We can go secretly and give them to them secretly," said Mrs. Fitch.

"No," Darien refused.

"If we can't change the past, then why are we here?" asked Sewell.

"I don't know either. I haven't tried to change the past, so I want to try first to see if changing the past will have any impact on the future, or if the thread of fate cannot be disturbed. If we change a node, it will be adjusted back the next moment." Darian said a long string of words.

"Darian, are you saying that you're not sure whether the future will change?" Leon asked.

"Yeah, I'm not sure," Darien said. "I don't recall ever receiving food from a stranger in an orphanage."

"You are talking about strangers, but what about familiar people? Has anyone familiar given you food, cake, candy or other snacks?" Seville asked.

"Come to think of it, it does," Darien said. "Mr. Mason distributes food to the orphans every Monday that they can't get on other days. Sometimes it's pie, sometimes it's cake. I remember I once had a delicious raisin cake."

"What does Mr. Mason look like? We can become Mr. Mason, right? Then we can make some delicious snacks and send them to the orphanage." said Sewell.

"That's indeed a solution. Mr. Mason will come over from time to time when he's in a good mood, so we can have extra snacks," said Darien.

"Then let's pretend to be Mr. Mason," said Sewell. "What would you like to eat?"

"I want to eat raisin cake and beef pie." Darien thought for a moment and said, "I don't know why these two foods are the most vivid in my memory."

"Then let's make these two dishes. There's still plenty of time, so it should be in time for afternoon tea," said Sewell.

"Then it's settled! Where is the market? We should hurry and buy ingredients for cakes and pies," said Mrs. Fitch.

"I don't remember exactly. But you can just ask the inn owner if he has any ingredients and buy them without going out," said Darien.

But before that, Sewell had to go out and buy them some clothes suitable for this era.

Darian went to the kitchen first. There was only flour and some vegetables and two eggs in the kitchen. The rest of the ingredients had to be bought separately.

"There's nothing in this kitchen," Mrs. Fitch lamented. "There's only salt and no sugar, and a lot of spices are missing... What do they usually eat?"

"Spices and sugar are rarely available to common people at this time. They are very expensive. This is just an ordinary hotel, so it's normal that they are not available here." Darian said.

"We must hurry back to the tower after this," said Mrs. Fitch. "I miss the spice jars there."

They occupied the kitchen and talked for quite a while before Sewell finally came back after shopping.

There are more than twenty orphans in the orphanage, and they have to work for a long time to feed every mouth.

Darien locked the door and closed the windows to prevent anyone from seeing the rats in the kitchen.

Time was tight and the task was heavy, so even Pluto helped in the kitchen, chopping meat, kneading dough, beating eggs... The whole kitchen was busy.

Finally, an hour before tea time, all the beef pies and plum cakes were ready. They were all put into baskets and loaded onto the carriage, which drove towards the orphanage.

Sewell plays Mr. Mason, and Darien plays Mr. Mason's servant, who suddenly comes to the orphanage to bring warmth.

"What were you like as a child? I guess you were a very cute child, right?"
