An endless fall!
His vision was completely swallowed by the thick, impenetrable darkness. The sweet, rotting smell and overwhelming mental oppression that permeated the air suddenly intensified tenfold after penetrating the biological diaphragm-like structure that Pei Du had smashed open! The nauseatingly strong odor seemed to possess a physical form, transforming into slippery, cold tentacles that attempted to penetrate his nose, throat, and even seep into his body through his pores. The pervasive whispers of his mind grew clearer, more frantic. Millions of fragments of thoughts of pain, greed, and despair pierced his consciousness like cold steel needles.
Pei Du's massive, thorny body was enveloped in a faint protective forcefield composed of dark green life-light, dark blue arcs of electricity, and a silver halo of data. Like a flaming meteorite, it plummeted through the darkness. The light that comprised the forcefield fluctuated violently under the erosion of the surrounding viscous darkness, emitting a sizzling sound as it overwhelmed the weight. The newly formed data-thorn whip blade on his right arm dimmed, its blade covered in charred cracks from the crimson storm. Only a few flickers of the deep blue electric snake remained.
His core of consciousness felt like it had been repeatedly struck by a heavy hammer, filled with the reverberation of chaotic data and a tearing pain. The forcible fusion of three powers and the birth of the "Data Thorns" brought a burden far beyond imagination. Every breath tugged at the energy veins throughout his body, causing a tearing pain. His molten gold composite pupils shone like two cold will-o'-the-wisp flames in the darkness, and the swirling chains of data thorns at their edges struggled to penetrate the thick darkness and chaotic energy field, scanning the unknown abyss below.
Xu Shuangyao was held tightly in his relatively intact, thorn-laden left arm. She curled up, her body still scorching. The veins of thorn vines beneath her skin were like red-hot irons, emitting an unstable crimson glow. Each flicker of light was accompanied by a slight spasm and a suppressed moan of pain. Although Pei Du had forcibly pulled her out of the center of the uncontrolled storm, avoiding complete annihilation by the Cradle, the conflict within her "Scarlet Agreement" remained unquenched. Instead, it grew more violent and unstable due to Pei Du's forced intervention of the data thorn power. The Cradle's annihilation command, like a maggot on the tarsal bone, left a cold mark deep in her consciousness, continuously stimulating the agreement's rampage.
"Ugh..." Xu Shuangyao let out a painful whimper. Under her tightly closed eyelids, her eyeballs were rolling wildly, and a crimson light seeped out from between her eyelashes.
"Hold on!" Pei Du growled in her consciousness, a chilling thought sweeping through her like a cold current, attempting to suppress the raging conflict within her. Her newly born Data Thorn ability transmitted a chilling interference force, forcibly suppressing the crimson light threatening to erupt again beneath her skin. This offered only temporary relief, like placing a boulder on the crater of a volcano about to erupt.
The speed of descent was accelerating. The sticky darkness around him seemed to possess a tangible resistance, like countless invisible, cold, slippery tentacles entwining and dragging him. The thorny chains of data in Pei Du's molten gold pupils spun wildly, his vision penetrating layers of obstruction, finally capturing the scene of the abyss below.
It is no longer the previous biological cavity wall structure covered with mucus.
Beneath their feet lay a boundless, slowly creeping, undulating "earth." But this "earth" was no rock or soil; it was composed of billions of dark green roots, as thick as ancient mountain ranges, tightly entwined, intertwined, and fused together! These roots were unimaginably massive, each one far exceeding the diameter of the parent tree's roots. Their surface was covered in a thick, pitch-black cuticle dripping with sticky pus, studded with sharp spurs and massive sucking mouthparts that constantly opened and closed, dripping with corrosive saliva. Like the intestines of a dormant ancient beast, they pulsed and contracted slowly and powerfully, each pulse releasing a suffocating, sweet, and rotten odor and a terrifying pressure of life.
This is the true foundation of the Mother Tree! The core molten pool of the furnace of life! The source of chaos and greed!
What chilled Pei Du even more was that, deep within this vast rooted "earth" in his data-thorn vision, an indescribably vast consciousness, composed of pure dark green life energy, was slowly "opening" its "eyes"! That was the core will of the Mother Tree! It clearly "saw" the fallen Pei Du and Xu Shuangyao in his arms, sensed the alluring aura of the "source blood" within Pei Du's body, like a dark beacon, and also sensed the out-of-control, destructive Crimson Agreement within Xu Shuangyao's body!
A torrent of thoughts that was larger and clearer than any previous moment, and carried with absolute possessiveness and greedy ecstasy, was like billions of volcanoes erupting simultaneously in the depths of consciousness, bombarding him fiercely!

With eardrum-piercing shrieks and a stench strong enough to corrode metal, they descended upon the two men falling from the sky, madly strangling them! The densely packed teeth within the sucking mouthparts flashed with a cold light, spewing a dark green, corrosive breath that instantly transformed a vast expanse of space into a deadly, poisonous mist!
Before the attack arrived, the terrifying devouring will and corrosive energy field had already wrapped around Pei Du like physical shackles, trying to break down Pei Du's defense and assimilate his power!
