[Star Dome Network (Fragmented Projection)… Status: Extremely Weak… Connection Strength: 0.0001%… Energy Drain Rate: Unable to Meet Minimum Requirements…]
The cold reminder sound rang again.
Starry Sky Network? Fragmented projections? Lin Mo's mind was in a state of confusion. He was just an orphan struggling in a garbage dump, relying on scavenging and occasional theft to survive. He couldn't even recognize a complete set of words. How could he possibly understand these mythical words?
"What the hell is this thing?!" He growled hoarsely, his voice echoing in his helmet (fortunately the helmet was still there), full of fear and anger.
Buzz!
At the very moment his emotions were surging, the dark golden light in his left eye surged again! A cold, vast torrent of information, seemingly containing the truth of the universe, suddenly and violently rushed into the depths of his fragile consciousness!
Not words! Not images!
That was... a broken, yet extremely strong... emotional imprint!
Bone-chilling despair! Like sinking into the deepest arctic ocean, enveloped in eternal darkness and deathly silence! The viscous force of entropy erodes every inch of existence, and consciousness slides into utter nothingness amidst absolute disorder... The light of the starry sky fragments flickers and dims like a candle in the wind, swaying in the endless decline... The destructive forces attacking from within and without threaten to rip the last of existence apart...
Unwilling!
anger!
The sorrow engraved for the deceased is enough to burn the stars!
And... finally, the resolute will to ignite oneself, live towards death, and burn everything!
"roar--!!!"
"Open it for me!!"
A roar that was a mixture of the annihilation of stars and the wailing of all things seemed to explode directly in the depths of Lin Mo's soul!
"Ahhh!!!" Lin Mo hugged his head, which was splitting with pain, and his body curled up in pain in the void! The emotion was too magnificent, too heavy, too desperate and too heroic! It was simply not something his heart, which had been crawling in the garbage dump and only knew how to survive, could bear!
That's not his memory!
Is that... that light? The thing that got into him?!
Pei Du…?
A completely unfamiliar name, imprinted with the utmost grief and resoluteness, burned like a red-hot iron into the depths of his chaotic consciousness. The name carried the cold texture of metal, the weight of the stars, and an aura of sacrifice and protection that he could not comprehend, yet shook his very soul.
The intense pain and chaotic emotions washed over Lin Mo like a tsunami, instantly engulfing his already fragile consciousness. Darkness descended once more.
Just before he completely lost consciousness, the cold reminder sound, with an unprecedented and incomprehensible fluctuation, sounded again in the depths of his consciousness:
[Deep consciousness fluctuations detected... associated with unknown will imprint...]
[Information fragment forced transmission interrupted...]
[Carrier consciousness overloaded...entered protective hibernation...]
Energy Level: 0.9%…Continuously Decreasing…
The boy's unconscious body drifted slowly through the cold, silent void of the garbage graveyard, like a kite with a broken string. The dark golden light in his left eye dimmed as his consciousness faded, like a candle in the wind, only a faint spark remaining, flickering stubbornly in the absolute darkness.
Beneath him lay the maw of the wreckage of the mining ship that had devoured Scarface Johnny and the other two. Deep within his consciousness, the mark of "Pei Du" clung like an immortal star, casting its first heavy, cold streak of light across the frozen plains of his soul.
