"You... are here..." the young man began, his voice weak but strangely calm. He looked at Xu Shuangyao, at the ion knife pointed at his heart, emitting an absolutely chilling force. A faint, relief-inducing smile curved across the corner of his mouth.
"Will you be the next one?" he asked softly, his eyes piercing Xu Shuangyao's cold pupils, as if he saw the distant future.
Xu Shuangyao (herself in her memory) didn't hesitate. A stream of icy commands dominated everything. With a swing of her arm, the ion blade pierced the boy's violently heaving chest with unparalleled precision and a chilling chill that could freeze a soul!
"No!!" In the meditation room, Xu Shuangyao suddenly jumped up from the docking chair! The helmet's wiring was broken by the violent force! She clutched her head tightly with both hands, her icy blue eyes widening to the extreme, her pupils filled with boundless horror, pain, and disbelief! Her forehead felt as if it had been severely burned by an invisible iron, and a tearing pain ripped through the place where the brand had long since dissipated!
"Ugh—!" A shrill, inhuman scream erupted from the depths of her throat! With her as the center, the terrifying absolute zero field instantly erupted out of control!

The delicate instruments, alloy walls, floor, and ceiling of the meditation room were instantly covered in a thick, ever-growing layer of sharp ice crystals! The temperature plummeted to the point where even the air groaned with freezing! The pipes connected to her body instantly turned to ice! A grand "Newborn Celebration" was underway, celebrating humanity's first fruitful season since taking root in their new home. Giant holographic fireworks burst into the sky, creating patterns symbolizing hope and the stars. Upbeat music filled the air, the crowds sang and danced, and the aroma of food filled the air. Children ran around and played, while adults toasted in celebration. Lin Mo and Xu Shuangyao, the most important guests, were seated on the high platform at the center of the celebration.
Lin Mo tried to maintain a surface of composure, but the chaotic pulses and whispers deep within the crystals on his left cheek were like frantic drumbeats, constantly beating against his nerves. He felt an indescribable irritation and... an urge to destroy. The cold command to "clear" was stirring deep within his consciousness. Xu Shuangyao sat beside him, her face even paler than usual, a ripple of fear lingering in the depths of her icy blue eyes. The shock and bloody images of last night's unsealed memories coiled around her mind like a cold, venomous snake. She hardly dared to look at Lin Mo's face. The guilt brought on by the overlapping of the dying boy's face and the person before her almost overwhelmed her. The atmosphere between them was invisibly filled with a layer of cold distance.
As the celebration reached its climax, a group of children in white gauze dresses held "star flowers" symbolizing new life in their hands, and ran up to the platform with innocent smiles, ready to present them to their guardians.

The crowd's cheers instantly turned to screams of terror! The ocean of joy froze in an instant! Like frightened birds and beasts, people shoved and fled frantically! Trampling, crying, and desperate screams instantly replaced the peaceful atmosphere of the celebration!
"Lin Mo!" Xu Shuangyao's expression changed drastically, and she stood up abruptly. Icy blue energy instantly condensed in front of her, forming a massive diamond-shaped ice shield adorned with complex runes!
However, her movements were still a little slow!
Lin Mo, losing control, seemed completely possessed by "something" within him. On his left arm, starting at the shoulder, dark golden veins beneath the skin lit up like red-hot lava. Terrifying dark gold energy coalesced into a massive, fan-shaped energy blade at the tip of the arm!
