What nearly made Wen Shifei's heart stop was the several trampled pages of paper documents scattered on the floor beside the operating table. One page was mostly soaked with semi-coagulated blood, but the handwriting on the exposed part was still clearly legible. It was the handwriting she was so familiar with, belonging to her brother Wen Yuan, with the rigor and artistic touch of an engineer!

Several figures wearing white protective suits stained with blood and unidentified mucus, and wearing gas masks, gathered around the operating table, like emotionless slaughter machines. The instruments in their hands flashed with a cold light. One person in protective gear was using a high-speed electric saw-like tool to cut Wen Yuan's left shoulder blade! Blood and flesh splattered, and the "crackling" sound of shattering bones could be heard! Another person roughly forced a metal component that shone with a faint blue light and was wrapped with biological nerve bundles into the bloody wound! The moment the metal component came into contact with the flesh, a "sizzling" burning sound and green smoke were emitted!
