They scraped futilely against the thick alloy pipe's interior, making a teeth-grinding noise! It seemed to be trying to penetrate but was stuck.
As if sensing the light, the "arm" suddenly froze! Countless tiny black "beetles" instantly stopped spinning and turned their heads in unison. Their compound eyes reflected a dense, numbing scarlet light under the emergency light! All of them focused on Lin Mo!
A cold, pure, inhuman malice with an absolute destructive command, like tangible ice water, instantly poured over Lin Mo!
It's not a living thing! It's some kind of... highly intelligent, mechanical hunting unit on a scavenging mission! And, it's stuck... right on the path to Area X-7!
"Discovered...invasion...commands...clear..." An extremely faint, intermittent noise, like an electronic synthesized sound that was severely interfered with, came from the direction of the "arm", accompanied by the creepy rustling sound of countless tiny "beetles" rubbing against each other!

The stuck "arm" jerked violently! Countless black "beetles" instantly disintegrated and reassembled! Like a black tide, they poured out of the pipe, recondensing just before hitting the ground! No longer an arm, they transformed into a mechanical monster the size of a hound, covered in fine black scales, its head a rotating cutting blade, and its limbs razor-sharp metal claws!
Its compound eyes locked onto Lin Mo, and it roared silently, kicking the ground with its hind legs! Leaving clear claw marks on the thick dust, it transformed into a black lightning bolt that tore through the air, carrying a breath of death that cut through everything, and rushed straight to Lin Mo's throat!

Lin Mo's pupils suddenly constricted! Under the drug-enhanced nerve reflex, his body instinctively rolled to the side! At the same time, the high-frequency sword in his hand drew a sharp arc of light, from bottom to top, fiercely slashing towards the abdomen of the mechanical hound that was pouncing on him!

The harsh sound of metal friction was accompanied by bursting sparks!
The sharp blade of the sword cut a deep gash into the mechanical hound's belly, covered in black scales! But the expected disembowelment did not occur! The defensive power of the black scales was far beyond imagination! The blade only cut through the surface before being stuck in the harder alloy bones inside!
The immense force of the impact sent Lin Mo flying! His back slammed heavily onto a cold server cabinet behind him! The intense pain made his vision go black!
The mechanical hound landed on the ground, emitting a low, metallic whine. Countless tiny black "beetles" were rapidly wriggling and repairing the wound on its abdomen! Its scarlet compound eyes locked onto Lin Mo, and its hind legs gathered strength again!
You can't fight it head-on! This thing's defense and repair abilities are too abnormal!
Lin Mo endured the severe pain, and at the moment the mechanical hound pounced on him, he suddenly rolled to a corner next to him that was full of discarded cables and metal boxes!
