"Put it down." The icy voice, like the cold law of the universe, ignored the barrier of vacuum and sounded directly in the core of consciousness of every gravekeeper.
"Open fire! Maximum firepower! Stop him!" The temporary commander let out a hysterical electronic roar, fear overwhelming his reason! He knew very well that the return of the exiles meant utter destruction!
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
The remaining Gravekeeper warships erupted in a final frenzy! All available artillery fire, regardless of the risk of energy overload, poured down madly on Pei Du like the sting of a dying scorpion! Dark blue beams, space-shattering torpedoes, high-explosive missiles... intertwined into a web of destruction!
However--
Pei Du didn't even look at the attacks.
He simply raised his right hand, covered in energy lines, in the direction of the transport ship. He spread his fingers, palm facing upward, and then... gently clenched it.
Buzz!
There were no earth-shattering explosions.
The huge heavy transport ship, together with the broken stasis coffin it had just captured, and all the destructive attacks fired at Pei Du from the surrounding area... The space where they were located was as if being tightly grasped by an invisible cosmic hand that controlled the rules of space and annihilation!
The space itself was forcibly solidified and compressed!
The sturdy ship's armor uttered a piercing, metal-like groan of extreme compression, instantly twisting and deforming! The internal energy pipelines and engine cores exploded in unison under the irresistible pressure of space! Dark blue arcs danced wildly across the compressed surface of the ship! The tractor beam instantly snapped! The damaged stasis coffin was also trapped firmly by the solidified space!
Then——
Phew!
It's like crushing a fragile balloon filled with water!
With Pei Du's casual grip, the entire heavy transport, along with its gravekeepers, energy core, weapons systems, and the imprisoned stasis coffin, was compressed into a terrifyingly dense sphere of metal and energy, less than ten meters in diameter! The blinding light of the detonation was forcibly compressed within the sphere, revealing only a few wisps of despair!
Then, Pei Du spread out his palms and rubbed his five fingers gently.
Buzz!
The metal sphere that was compressed to the extreme, along with the last struggling light inside, was completely annihilated and decomposed like sand, turning into the most basic particle flow and dissipating in the void, without even a trace of residue left!
With one strike, a heavy warship and the "Covenant Fragment" within it were completely wiped out!
Dead silence!
A deathly silence deeper than the void enveloped all the remaining Gravekeeper warships. All gunfire was silenced. Inside the bridge, the electronic synthesized voices of the surviving Gravekeeper operators were completely drowned out by the cacophony of fear.
"Run...run quickly!" Someone sent out the first desperate electronic signal.
The remaining Gravekeeper warships' engine nozzles erupted with blinding, desperate flames. Like ants doused in boiling water, they fled frantically and without formation towards deep space, far away from Peidu and Gaia Star, leaving behind only a hurried energy trail and icy fear.
Pei Du's cold gaze swept over the fleeing flames. A flicker of indifference flashed through the depths of the thorny vortex in his left eye. The data stream in his right eye calmly marked: [Remaining Threat: Low. Pursuit Inefficient. Priority: Gaia.]
He no longer paid any attention to those stray dogs. His figure transformed into a streak of light, tearing through space and swooping down towards the azure planet below—Gaia!
Deep in the heart of the earth. The Golden Kingdom.
Xu Shuangyao's consciousness, like light, flowed through every inch of the planet's awakened golden veins. On the planet's surface, new greenery stubbornly resisted the remaining mycelial contamination. Dormant volcanoes surged with warm golden magma. The ocean's depths pulsed with the pulse of resurgence... All of Gaia, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, guided by the planet's will, trudged towards a new life with difficulty and determination.
However, the joy of this new life was replaced by a coldness and emptiness that penetrated deep into the bone marrow.
She "saw" it.
"See" Pei Du tearing through the void, and his majestic figure returning like a demon!
"See" the absolute power with which he easily crushed the warship and destroyed the stone tablet!
"Saw" the miserable appearance of the Gravekeeper Fleet fleeing in despair!
But... she didn't feel any joy at all.
Only a cold, soul-tearing pain permeated her core consciousness. The unwavering spiritual connection between her and Pei Du, forged by the planet's will and its protective mark... was forcibly severed by an invisible, more fundamental force of law the moment Pei Du crushed the stasis coffin and annihilated the stone tablet!
It felt like having the umbilical cord cut.
"Pei... Du..." Xu Shuangyao leaned against the jade-like golden roots, her body, shrouded in a golden halo, trembling slightly. She tried to reestablish a connection, to call out to him. But her thoughts fell on deaf ears. She could only sense him rapidly approaching the planet, unable to reach his nascent core of consciousness, which seemed enveloped in some cold shell.
Warm golden light swirled around her, but it couldn't dispel the chill in her heart. He had returned... but he seemed different. What was that icy force that finally severed the connection?
Just then—
Buzz!
A figure wrapped in gray-black annihilation flames ignored the thick crust and rock layers, as if penetrating a thin layer of water curtain, and appeared directly in the golden kingdom deep in the earth's core!
Pei Du! Coming!
He hovered before a massive root threaded with golden veins. His body, shrouded in tricolor energy circuits, emanated a terrifying pressure that slightly distorted space. A dark vortex of thorns swirled in his left eye, his cold gaze fixed on the figure beside the root, shrouded in a golden halo, its aura completely fused with the planet's will.
