Chapter 151 Extra Chapter 5: Deep Space Lullaby

What followed was chaos and a sense of weightlessness that completely engulfed everything.

The next microsecond after Xu Shuangyao and Chen Xing were pushed into the crack—

boom--!!!!

That destructive dark purple annihilation beam, like the spear of judgment of the universe, fiercely and unhinderedly penetrated the "Cradle of Glimmering Light" which was already full of cracks and had lost the core support of Lin Mo's power!

There was no explosion.

There is no fire.

There was only silent, complete annihilation.

The entire "Glimmering Cradle," along with all the remaining energy structures within it, Lin Mo's dedicated efforts, and the faint warmth that had existed just moments before, instantly vaporized and decomposed under the violet beam, like ice and snow in sunlight, transforming into the most primitive particle stream and completely disappearing into the universe! Not even a trace of dust remained!

The beam continued to move forward, slamming into the depths of the rolling destructive nebula behind it, triggering a small-scale, silent space annihilation storm.

And at the edge of the annihilation storm, at the void coordinate point where the "Cradle of Glimmering Light" once existed.

An extremely faint, dark golden mark, composed of pure spiritual will, hung tenaciously like a candle in the wind. It was the trace of consciousness that Lin Mo had forcibly ripped from his collapsing core at the last moment. It was so faint that it seemed ready to go out at any moment, but it clearly recorded the cold, precise, and emotionless mechanical harmony that came from an unobservable dimension deep within the nebula before the annihilation beam penetrated. Like the final verdict of a cosmic court, it was directly imprinted in the depths of this remaining consciousness:

"High-dimensional larval life fluctuations detected..."

"Judgment: Codename 'Son of the Star Core', Threat Level: ███ (Insufficient Clearance)..."

"Enforce mandatory containment protocols… Priority: Beyond Oblivion…"

"Coordinates locked... Space anchored... Hunter fleet... Deployed..."

At the edge of the New Home Galaxy, under the huge observation dome of the "Watcher" research vessel, the atmosphere was as oppressive as a block of solidified lead.

On the main screen, the terrifying nebula representing the remains of Dawn continued to tumble, but the core region, marked as the possible coordinates of the "Glimmer's Cradle," was now shrouded in a blinding darkness, representing a "spatial annihilation reaction"! A red alert symbol flashed wildly beside it, a tearful accusation: "High-energy annihilation strike! Complete collapse of the spatial structure! Target area...matter and energy reactions...reduced to zero!"

Dead silence.

Absolute silence.

Only the monotonous beeping sound of the instrument, indicating the confirmation of destruction, echoed repeatedly in the silent cabin, like a death knell striking in everyone's heart.

Dr. Owen felt as if all life force had been drained from him in an instant. His withered body swayed, his age-spotted hands clutching the cold edge of the console, his knuckles pale from the strain. His bloodshot, cloudy eyes stared fixedly at the inky blackness of annihilation, his facial muscles twitching uncontrollably. His lips moved, but no sound emanated. The faint spark of a miracle that had just ignited was, before his very eyes, completely and mercilessly snuffed out by this ray of annihilation from the unknown depths.

Lin Mo... Shuang Yao... and the newly born star core baby that contains infinite possibilities... are all gone?

This realization was like a collapsing mountain, slamming hard into Owen's already overwhelmed heart. A lifetime of research, the last hope for a new home, was shattered like a bubble. The immense grief and deeper despair, like an icy tide, instantly overwhelmed him, leaving only a numb feeling of suffocation. Behind him, all the surviving technicians, soldiers, and higher-ups had lost the last trace of color from their faces, staring blankly at the screens, like bodies without souls. Some covered their mouths, stifling the sobs that threatened to burst out; some slumped helplessly on the cold floor; and many more, like Owen, stood frozen in place, completely frozen by this ultimate, irresistible destruction.

"No... No..." A young female monitor's trembling, tearful voice broke the dead silence. She operated the scanner in vain, refreshing the dark area over and over again. "Just now... Just now there were clearly life signals... And that energy bubble... That baby's light..."

Her voice stopped abruptly, because the dark area on the screen, representing annihilation, remained motionless, like a cold mockery.

Despair, like a plague, spread silently in the cabin of the Watcher.

At this moment of despair, when even time seemed to freeze—

"Alert! Alert! Massive space warp reaction detected! Source unknown! Location: Zeta-7, Theta-9! Distance: 0.1 light-years! Number... uncountable! Energy readings... exceeding threshold! Unresolved!" Like a cat with its tail stepped on, the piercing alarm suddenly resounded throughout the bridge at full volume! On the main screen, the edge of the star map near the annihilation zone was instantly covered in a dense mass of dazzling red dots, representing ultra-high energy reactions and spatial distortions! These red dots, like a ghost fleet appearing out of thin air, were tearing through space at incredible speeds, closing in on the annihilation coordinates!

"What?!" The captain suddenly woke up from his desperate stupor, his bloodshot eyes fixed on the red dots that were swarming like locusts, "Fleet?! Where did the fleet come from?! All the defense forces of the new home are..." His words were stuck in his throat, because the blurry image captured by the high-powered deep space detector that was instantly magnified on the screen almost froze his blood!

That's not a fleet from any known civilization in New Homeland!

It was a vast swarm of countless dark purple starships, utterly bizarre in shape, completely defying conventional physical structures! They resembled cold metallic behemoths, their hulls oozing with viscous, dark purple energy, their massive main gun muzzles emitting a chilling aura of annihilation. Their tearing through space wasn't a conventional jump, but rather, like an eraser erasing spatial lines, directly "erasing" the spatial structure in front of them, performing terrifying maneuvers that bordered on teleportation! The outline of each starship was shrouded in an extremely uncomfortable, reality-distorting aura!

"Observer..." Dr. Owen's dry, hoarse voice, carrying a chill that penetrated his bones, rang out with difficulty, like the whispers of a nightmare. "It's the Observer... the Hunter Fleet..." He saw it! In the center of that unimaginably terrifying fleet, on the bridge of a flagship far larger than its peers, a moving, dark purple star, an extremely faint yet incredibly familiar dark gold spiritual imprint's sensor signal was flashing wildly! That was... Lin Mo's last remaining imprint of consciousness! Like the most conspicuous lighthouse, it was firmly locked onto by that fleet!

Forced detention protocol... So... This is it!

"Target locked: Remaining coordinates of the high-dimensional larva... and the accompanying abnormal mental imprint..."

"Execute... forced detention..."

The cold, emotionless mechanical harmony seemed to penetrate the distant space and echoed again in Dr. Owen's mind.

Annihilation is not the end. It is the beginning of an even more terrifying hunt! Their target is not only Chenxing, but also the last remaining trace of Lin Mo's consciousness!
