Buzz——!!!
A beam of energy, a mixture of piercing red light and faint blue light, suddenly burst out from between Wen Shifei's hands, which were pressed against the interface, like a tamed, furious dragon! This beam of energy didn't hit any enemies, but instead cut through the diffuse dust and accurately connected with the handle of the magic blade that Lu Chenen's right hand was tightly grasping!
Sizzle——!!!
Like dry wood thrown into a furnace, the demonic blade instantly erupted with an unprecedentedly dazzling light! No longer the previous blend of silver-blue and dark purple, it now shone with a pure, heart-pounding white, like the core of a star! The purple lightning entwined within it was instantly devoured and annihilated by this immense external energy! The blade trembled violently, emitting a high-pitched, wailing sound as if it were about to disintegrate!
This blazing, violent energy, like a flood, rushed along the magic blade and madly into Lu Chenen's body that was on the verge of collapse!
“Ugh, ahh ...
This isn't healing at all! This is using the most violent flames to forcibly calcine and glue together broken porcelain! It's a "rebirth" more painful than death!
"Chen En!" Wen Shifei's heart ached at the sight of Lu Chen En's agonized expression. But she couldn't stop! If she did, the energy would spiral out of control and backfire, instantly reducing both her and Lu Chen En to ash. In his hands, he clutched a rusted, half-human-height industrial-grade energy battery, taken from an abandoned energy station outside the factory! Dangerous, unstable arcs of electricity flickered from the battery casing!
Without any hesitation, the monkey used up his last bit of strength to smash the bomb-like energy battery hard at the base of the energy cannon arm of the "Scavenger" mecha that was charging!
"No——!" Ajie was horrified!
Boom——!!!!
A loud noise several times more terrifying than any previous explosion!
The massive "Scavenger" mech, along with the monkey and the energy battery he had thrown, was instantly engulfed by a terrifying fireball that expanded to its limit, a mixture of dark purple energy and industrial arcs! Blazing flames and devastating shockwaves once again engulfed the entire crumbling control room! The remaining walls and ceiling collapsed like crispy cookies!
“Monkey——!!!” Ajie let out a heart-wrenching roar. His body was blown away by the blast and smashed into a pile of rubble, losing consciousness.
The control room completely turned into a sea of inferno and a collapsing tomb!
In the glow of the fire, Wen Shifei still pressed the red, glowing connector firmly, directing the violent torrent of energy. The blazing white beam connecting her and Lu Chenentang swayed violently in the shockwave of the explosion, but stubbornly remained intact.
Under the frenzied surge of energy, Lu Chen's body stopped twitching violently and fell into a strange state of stiffness. The burning energy lines beneath his skin slowly subsided, and the horrific wound on his severed arm was forcibly sealed and covered by a layer of energy material that emitted a faint white light and resembled flowing metal! Although still hideous, the fatal bleeding had stopped! A very faint trace of blood returned to his pale face, and his chest began to rise and fall slightly! The blazing white light on the Demon Blade slowly subsided, and the blade seemed to become darker and deeper, flowing with a strange mercury-like luster. The ominous purple lightning from before completely disappeared.
The red glow on Wen Shifei's body slowly faded, the violent energy pouring into her body seemingly reaching a temporary equilibrium. Her overdrawn mind and body could no longer sustain the pressure. Her hands slipped powerlessly from the sockets, and she collapsed to the ground, as if her bones had been pulled out, sinking into a deep coma. The blazing white beam connecting the two of them vanished.
Inside the control room, the only sounds were the crackling of flames, the groaning of the building structure under the strain, and... a faint but steady heartbeat.
Lu Cheneng is still alive.
Lighthouse fortress, command center.
Dead silence.
The pressure was as strong as solidified lead. On the massive holographic sand table, the dot of light representing the abandoned factory in the old city had been completely swallowed by the dark purple vortex symbol, like a black hole, symbolizing the devastating blow of the "Ark." The energy level reading nearby reached a startling peak before slowly falling back, finally settling in the deep red zone representing "annihilation."
