Pei Du was reborn in the Void Furnace as a Chaos Star Core that controlled annihilation. The gravekeeper threw him into the dimensional turbulence in fear.
Xu Shuangyao burned her life to awaken the planetary memory of the countless roots in the earth's core. The seed of Gaia finally took root, but she was on the verge of death.
The moment the gravekeeper analyzed the ancient stone tablet, he was invaded by the stone tablet's will, and the operator's flesh and blood turned into roots amidst screams;
Pei Du tore open the space crack with his bare hands, and the data stream from his right eye frantically warned: "Target Gaia! Gravekeeper Fleet energy response! Xu Shuangyao's life signal detected...Imminent annihilation!"
A piercing, metal-tearing alarm roared through the Gravekeeper Fleet's massive Void Forge control center, threatening to crush the cold alloy structure. The crimson light no longer flickered, but like viscous blood, completely engulfing every corner, splattering across the heavily armored walls, the cold control consoles, and the silent executors, transforming them into moving, blood-red sculptures. The air was filled with the acrid, scorching smell of overloaded energy, and... a deeper, more unsettling, cold, dead silence.
On the main control screen, the energy reading representing the Void Furnace's core was no longer declining, but had plummeted into a bottomless black abyss. A glaring "0.0001%" figure stood beside it, like a final tombstone. And in the center of this energy vacuum, a dark, expanding, and twisting ball of light, composed of chaotic lines, emitted a terrifying crimson outline. Each tiny pulse of its light seemed to cause the entire control center to groan softly.
"'Annihilator' confirmed to have been expelled to the dimensional fissure of the Shattered Abyss." The electronic synthesized voice of a high-ranking executor boomed, smooth and unwavering, like reading out an insignificant garbage disposal report. A heavily armored finger lifted the crimson emergency ejection button, the residual energy arc still crackling on its surface. "Furnace core damage rate, 99.83%. Structural integrity lost. Purification mission... failed." The last two words, amidst the deadly background hum of the alarm, carried a cold sense of finality.
In the center of the control center, the Gravekeeper Commander, clad in a dark golden energy robe, slowly turned. The shadow cast by his vast hood completely engulfed his features, leaving only two inhuman points of azure light, like the condensation of an icy abyss, faintly illuminating within the shadows. His gaze, piercing the glaring red light and the icy air, was fixed fixed on another stasis coffin beside the control console.
A massive black stasis coffin stood silently, a dark blue binding force field coursing across its surface, like a cage sealing an ancient demon. Within the coffin, the ancient covenant stele quietly rose and fell, its surface covered in mysterious patterns. Now, it was dim and lifeless, as still as a tombstone in the deep, cold universe.
"The only valid recyclable item," the commander's voice rang out. It was no longer a purely electronic sound, but a mixture of an inhuman texture, like the friction of metal and the cracking of rock. Every syllable was chilling. "'Covenant Fragment'."
He slightly raised a hand covered in dark gold energy armor and pointed at the stasis coffin. "Strip all redundant external stasis field modules. Activate the 'Deep Realm Probe' array. Objective: Penetrate the information barrier on the surface of the stele, analyze its core energy structure and... the source of the 'Living Key' adaptation protocol. Priority: Absolutely highest."
The command was like a cold steel needle, piercing every execution unit of the control center.
"Command confirmed. Stripping redundant stasis modules." A mechanical response echoed. Around the stasis coffin that imprisoned the stele, several thick, circular restraining structures hummed softly. Complex robotic arms extended and began precisely removing the additional physical and energetic constraints. The dark blue force field shrank noticeably, becoming more condensed, clinging tightly to the stele like a final layer of thin ice.
At the control console, three operators tasked with analysis—their helmets, unlike those of the high-level executors, covered in more information ports and intricate sensor crystals—simultaneously pressed their metal-armored palms against the three-dimensional control interface that rose before them. Complex spatial coordinates, energy flow models, and multidimensional frequency maps cascaded down the screen like a waterfall. Behind them, the vast dome silently slid open, and three probes of mind-numbing precision slowly descended. The probes were not made of solid metal, but rather of a highly concentrated, dark blue energy. Their tips shone with a terrifying glow powerful enough to rip apart molecular bonds, and countless tiny, constantly moving tentacles of data streams entwined the needles.
"'Deep Probe' array ready. Energy injection...peak stable." An operator reported, his electronic voice a little tense due to intense concentration.
"Target locked: Covenant Stele surface information barrier. First-order frequency shock... activated!"
The faint blue light under the commander's hood suddenly shrank.
Buzz——!
Without warning, three beams of intensely concentrated blue light burst forth from the tips of the three probes, instantly crossing space and striking precisely at the surface of the stone tablet within the stasis coffin! These beams were not destructive energy shockwaves, but rather a "key" imbued with extremely high-frequency information disturbances, attempting to forcibly pry open the ancient seal on the stone tablet's surface.
The moment the beam struck, the stone tablet remained motionless. However, deep within the seemingly silent, mystical lines, it seemed as if the dust of millions of years had been disturbed by this brutal intrusion.
Buzz...buzz...buzz...
A deep, rich sound, as if emanating from the deepest earth's heartbeat, resounded without warning within the consciousness of everyone within the control center! It wasn't felt through hearing, but directly on the soul! This sound carried an indescribable ancient, vast, and... a cold rage, stagnant for eons, at the offense of an ant!
