Chapter 39

Chapter 39

When I washed my face today, I noticed my eyes were swollen. As I was staring at them, Jiang Jiang suddenly started barking. She rarely barks at home. I wiped my face and went to the living room. There she was, standing in front of the night-blooming cereus. Then she excitedly came over and tried to bite my trouser leg.

The bud of that night-blooming cereus has grown larger again, about to open but not yet, it looks like it will open tonight.

I got excited and squatted down to pinch Jiang Jiang's face: "Jiang Jiang, Jiang Jiang, it's about to open, do you want to watch it with me tonight?"

Jiang Jiang kept making "woo-woo" sounds, its airplane ears circling around me. I went to get it some treats as a reward.

Time was moving too slowly; I couldn't concentrate on anything and kept checking the time on my phone.

So slow, so slow.

It's only eleven o'clock.

I ate lunch, it was only 12 o'clock.

Why is time moving so slowly?

Jiangjiang is playing with a ball.

The wallpaper on the wall with a missing corner looks a bit ugly.

The house seems to need cleaning.

The sticky note you left on the refrigerator wasn't very durable, so I fixed it with tape.

The roses on the table have withered.

It's one o'clock.

My music subscription on my computer is about to expire, so I turned off automatic renewal.

Should I take a nap?

I can't sleep.

I took half a watermelon from the refrigerator; it was chilled, and it felt so refreshing to eat it.

We couldn't finish it, so we put it back.

It's almost three o'clock.

The brown stain on the right armrest of the sofa is from when you accidentally spilled coffee on it.

The commercials on TV these days are so well-made, just like movies.

Jiang Jiang is asleep.

Before going to bed at night, you would pick me up after I finished skincare, like a koala, sit on the bed and not put me down, lean against the headboard, pick up your phone and scroll through it for half an hour, then throw the phone away, hug me and roll into the middle of the bed, whispering sweet nothings and cuddling close.

It's only four o'clock.

I just remembered a joke you told before.

That's hilarious.

You once said you wanted to study law.

You fall asleep the fastest when you're watching dramas with me.

The little duck's beak on the cushion is black.

You like to hold the back of my neck when we kiss.

Is the floor lamp 1.8 meters tall?

It should be about the same.

You chose the dining table; it's dark-colored.

Jiang Jiang is snoring.

It can really sleep.

It's 5:37.

What should we eat tonight?

I'm craving fried chicken legs, I'll order some takeout later.

The food delivery arrived very quickly.

Jiangjiang woke up.

Puppies cannot eat fried food.

Seven o'clock.

The flower buds don't look like they're about to bloom.

I don't want to walk the dog today.

After eating and drinking her fill, Jiang Jiang lay down on the side, sticking out her tongue and staring blankly.

Eight o'clock.

My phone is out of battery.

I turned on the stereo and played your playlist.

I am bored.

Time is moving so slowly.

Can advanced alien civilizations transcend dimensions?

Is it time to pay the property management fees for my household?

Once, you hadn't had a haircut in a long time, so I tied a little bun on your head. You got up and tried to run away, but I mischievously pressed you down there and then straddled your lap.

"...Wife."

"Hmm, don't worry, my wife is a great cook."

"..."

I have to say, your skin is amazing, even better than mine despite applying lotion and cream every day, and you don't get pimples... It's infuriating, it makes me jealous.

I threw away the comb, pinched your face and rubbed it all over; it felt even better than your abs.

You look at me, and my image is reflected in your clear eyes.

Can a man with two pigtails be this sexy?

10 o'clock.

I love you.

It's eleven o'clock.

I unplugged the phone charger.

I turned off several lights in the living room, leaving only a warm yellow floor lamp on.

It's not 1.8 meters tall.

Twelve o'clock.

Is the little epiphyllum asleep?

Sure enough, waiting for a flower to bloom is boring.

a little.

I got up and went over to touch its leaves, then looked closer to see if the flower buds had opened a little bit.

Am I just imagining things?

Two points.

I almost fell asleep, so I got up and stretched.

The buds of the Epiphyllum oxypetalum have grown larger.

I cheered myself up.

I moved closer to the small epiphyllum, its center facing me, and I could see the stamens inside.

I sat down cross-legged.

I don't want to miss a single second.

Overjoyed.

3:30.

It opened.

Jiang Jianian, it's so beautiful.

Its petals are exceptionally lovely, a pure white. When I changed the lighting to a cool tone, it immediately revealed its fairy-like beauty.

It seems to have a fragrance.

It's faint.

Can you smell it?

The moonlight shone in.

The epiphyllum must love moonlight.

The night was gloomy and melancholic.

She would not come to the mortal world except for the beautiful Chang'e.
