Rebirth

"Congratulations everyone on completing the customs clearance!"

The boss who had been waiting at the exit fired a celebratory salute for them. Today was the first time that Longsheng Paradise opened an escape room theme attraction, and the person in charge of this escape room was the young man in front of them.

Zheng Tong rushed over and grabbed the boss's hand, saying excitedly, "Boss, the NPCs here are too dedicated. Please replace them with less dedicated ones next time." She pointed to her pale lips and said, "I'm so dehydrated from running around."

The boss was very considerate and asked his assistant to pour water for them.

"Isn't this to enrich the tourist experience? You're the first to have come this far completely on your own. We tested it with some passersby before you, but unfortunately, none of them performed particularly well." The boss turned his gaze to the two silent people and pointed with his index finger. "Especially these two, they're really impressive."

Dazzling people always attract other people's attention. At this moment, Zheng Tong no longer has her boyfriend in her eyes. Her heart and eyes are all on that outstanding young man.

"Okay, everyone, now that you've rested up, we can move on to other attractions," the boss reminded. "By the way, there's going to be a fireworks show at 8 p.m., and the Ferris wheel in the back is perfect for seeing the whole thing." He glanced at his watch and said, "I think it's almost time."

Chu Ping'an was naturally dragged by Qiu Xiaojing to watch the fireworks. The two ran towards the Ferris wheel, but Zheng Tong came over to talk to them, no, to talk to Chen An.

"Handsome guy, could you please leave me your contact information?"

At this moment, Zheng Tong had completely lost the panic she had in the secret room. She acted like a young lady and locked onto him like a prey.

Jiang Li glanced at her, pressed his tongue against the soft flesh between her teeth, and walked away decisively.

Those leaving eventually stopped at a stand selling cotton candy.

"Little handsome boy, would you like to buy a marshmallow?" the candy seller asked enthusiastically.

However, his mind was not on the marshmallows. From his perspective, they talked for a long time. The night was dark and he could not see what they said at all. In the end, they were so angry that they didn't even want the marshmallows.

He turned around and said to the old man, "I don't..."

"One."

The person who should have been far away was now behind him.

Seeing how close they were, the old man said cheerfully while rolling the candy: "Brothers, you have such a good relationship."

"Uncle, do you think we look alike?" Chen An saw that he was unhappy and said this deliberately to tease him.

The old man squinted his eyes and looked carefully. A dim light illuminated the small stall, and he was delighted. "Oh, it looks like it, it really looks like it, and the logo is just as beautiful!"

The seemingly indifferent person secretly smiled and quickly returned to normal.

"Here, take it." The old man handed the marshmallow to Jiang Li, who took the candy and walked forward on his own.

The man walked faster and faster. Chen An quickly stepped forward and grabbed him. "What's wrong? Why are you angry?"

"I'm not angry."

"Okay, I'm not angry." Chen An was unsure of his thoughts and plucked a handful of cotton candy into his mouth. Jiang Li blinked and found that the originally round ball of cotton candy was missing a corner. He said in astonishment, "I haven't even eaten it yet! It's not complete with a missing corner!"

"Oh." Chen An's expression was calm. "Don't make a fuss. I'll compensate you with another one later."

Jiang Li was still very angry and stamped his feet, saying, "That's different. If I buy another one, it won't be this one!"

Chen An couldn't understand how a child could have so many unique theories. He plucked another one, and the marshmallow was missing another corner.

"You!" Jiang Li never thought that this person would dare to do it again.

The next second, the "cotton" was stuffed into his mouth. The cloud-like gauze quickly melted and disappeared in his mouth, leaving only a little sweetness.

"Is it sweet?"

Jiang Li licked his lips and nodded.

"It's right to be sweet. The value of this marshmallow does not lie in being placed on the altar like a tribute, but in being eaten by someone in need." As he said this, he plucked another handful, raised his eyebrows, and put it in his mouth.

This action made him deeply suspicious that this person just wanted to eat his marshmallow.

Jiang Li quickly caught up with him and asked, "Hey, what did Zheng Tong say to you just now?"

"You want to know?"

Jiang Li felt that he was quite abnormal tonight and took the opportunity to tease him.

Jiang Li lowered his head and denied, "No..."

The man guessed his answer and immediately said, "Then don't say it."

"No, I think!"

The words of regret came out of my mouth, but I met a pair of smiling eyes.

Well, he had to admit that he was a little bit taken advantage of, of course, only a little.

"I'll tell you if you ride the Ferris wheel with me."

So the two of them joined the queue. When it was their turn, the staff said, "You are so lucky. Only the Ferris wheel can see the full fireworks at 8 o'clock tonight. You two are the last ones on this trip."

Jiang Li looked back, seeing a long line behind him. He couldn't help but wonder: Lucky? Shouldn't he be the unluckiest one? But this time, he had to admit, he was luckier than those behind him when it came to watching the fireworks.

Chen An took the ticket, said thank you, and then pulled the dazed person onto the cable car.

The Ferris wheel started up. It was now 7:30 pm Beijing time. The glass cable car gave a clear view of the entire park and the green hills dotted with lights in the distance.

The heat melted some of the sticky sugar in the marshmallow in his hand. Jiang Li collected his thoughts and concentrated on eating the candy.

He was now completely relaxed, his straight back relaxed, his legs naturally stretched out on the ground, his eyes fixed on the sweetness. The fifteen minutes in the cable car were quiet, almost eerie. But what frightened Chen An even more was that he was actually paying attention to Jiang Li's tongue.

Adults generally consider eating marshmallows to be the most challenging task, not only because they're difficult to swallow but also because they're unsightly and can easily lead to disfigurement. Jiang Li was arguably the most elegant person he'd ever seen eating marshmallows. His tender pink tongue deftly swished across the cotton wool, tucking some in without smearing it all over his face or ruining the marshmallow's natural beauty.

"You haven't said it yet."

The other party suddenly spoke, interrupting Chen An's unusual observation.

He said: "It's nothing serious. Zheng Tong seems to be dissatisfied with her current boyfriend."

"It means she wants to tease you."

I don't know why Jiang Li's words sounded a bit contemptuous.

"You could say that."

"What's your attitude?" Jiang Li stared at him, his eagerness clearly revealed in his eyes.

Seeing that he remained silent, Jiang Li asked, "Do you accept her flirting with you?"

Chen An leaned back slightly, looking into Jiang Li's flickering eyes and said truthfully, "I didn't accept it." After a moment, he seemed to see the worry in the other's eyes and added, "I won't accept it either."

Jiang Li seemed to be relieved. When his rationality caught up with him, his cheeks turned red. Fortunately, it was night time.

Having said that, Chen An is a man with normal emotions after all, and he must know that Jiang Li's feelings for him may have gone astray.

He looked at the young man in front of him who was obviously afraid but refused to back down, and he rarely knew what to do.

The small carriage blocked out the noise outside, and the silence was broken by the first firework.

“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!”

The fireworks outside the window are so colorful that they can light up the entire night sky.

“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!”

Inside the chest is a heart that is trying to resonate with the fireworks.

After a long time, Jiang Li said in a slightly trembling voice: "I said before that I would have something to tell you when I come back. Do you still want to know now?"

He had no doubt that if he said he didn't want to at this moment, Jiang Li might cry, because his expression was so pitiful, like a puppy in a pet shop waiting to be taken away.

No one would say no to a well-behaved and cute puppy, he couldn't do it.

But if they allowed him to continue like this, how would it end? How would they get along with each other in the future?

Should I obey the young man's wishes and be with him regardless of anything? Or should I break up with him and hide away awkwardly, looking at his face under the eaves?

At least for him now, neither of these two is what he wants.

Jiang Li couldn't wait for an answer. He felt himself trembling a little. His nervous breathing was disordered and his heart was beating fast, pushing him forward step by step. The unconscious impulse buried in his body drove him to grab Chen An's collar, tilt his head, and kiss the corner of his lips.

The last bunch of fireworks bloomed in the night sky, and the residual heat of the wreckage ignited the fuse.
