Turbid Light

Turbid Light

After the National Day holiday, Chen An's leg had mostly recovered, and half a month of rehabilitation was not difficult for him.

During this time, he had been paying attention to Xun Muke's condition. What she said last time was unusual. He asked her several times, but Xun Muke explained that it was unintentional. She also pretended to swear that she would never play such a prank again, making it seem as if he was the one who was neurotic.

At the end of the month, Chen An did not report back to the Serious Crime Squad but went to Cenzhou with Deputy Director Shen to meet with the investigation team to further discuss the case. Jiang Li, who had returned to school, had already entered a one-month closed training.

When parents are not at home, the melon seeds can only be handed over to someone who can take care of them.

Before the closed training, Jiang Li personally handed Guazi to Xun Muke. In addition to daily necessities, there was also a pink leash. He taught Xun Muke how to put the leash on Guazi. Guazi cooperated very well, and the little bell on his chest jingled. So Xun Muke had to take time to walk the mouse after receiving the visitors.

Time slipped away in the daily blinks and conversations, and it was already mid-November when Chen An returned to Qu'an.

The cold wind blew across his cheeks as Chen An got out of the car and walked into the corridor. At around eight or nine o'clock in the evening, all the lights were on in every household. Looking up, it seemed that only that room was without light.

He took out the key, but before he could even insert it the door opened by itself.

The door wasn't locked at all!

All the curtains were drawn to block out the light from outside. Chen An closed the door and caught a glimpse of a dark figure on the sofa. The man was still wearing his cotton coat, but had fallen asleep on the sofa.

Chen An subconsciously went over and touched his forehead, after all, this man had a criminal record.

No fever.

During the month of separation, although the two of them kept in touch, they couldn't touch or hug each other. They missed each other a lot when they met.

Chen An touched his face and then moved his palm down to his carotid artery. The other party suddenly opened his eyes and grabbed his hand, looking at him warily, paused for a second, and then slowly let go.

"You've learned well." Chen An praised him.

Jiang Li turned over and stretched. "The instructor just taught me this. Aren't you coming back tomorrow?"

The scheduled return time was indeed tomorrow, but Chen An came back on his own.

Seeing that no one answered, Jiang Li narrowed his eyes and smiled, "What? Did you miss me?"

Chen An sat on the ground, his hands behind his back, and admitted generously, "Yes, I missed you."

Jiang Li sat up from the sofa, leaned sideways and hooked his fingers together, as if he had a little secret to tell, "Come here."

Chen An approached him as he was told, and was kissed unexpectedly. By the time he reacted, the person had already run away.

Chen An approached the man standing at the entrance changing his shoes, blocking his way. If he turned left, Chen An turned left, and if he turned right, Chen An turned right too. Jiang Li couldn't help laughing, "What are you doing?"

The room was obviously dark, but there seemed to be light flashing in the eyes of the two people. Jiang Li felt the other party approaching, and the atmosphere became sticky. Kissing was inevitable. After waiting for a minute, Chen An did not take the next step. Jiang Li was a little confused.

"This dress is not yours."

The clothes smell wrong.

Jiang Li explained, "Oh, I went to dinner with Li Ziyang and the others. He borrowed the clothes."

The distance between them suddenly widened, and the other person said indifferently, "Oh."

Jiang Li brainstormed for a while, then burst into laughter when she realized what was happening. She took the initiative to put her arms around his neck, "You're jealous!"

Chen An didn't say anything, but put his arms around the other person's waist.

"He and I are just friends. Besides, there are four of us having dinner together: Fan Wenxun, Li Ziyang, and his brother."

Chen An was just joking.

"Fan Wenxun, I have an impression of him."

"Of course you remember him. He's the one we made a bet with." Jiang Li sighed, "You won. He made it through a month and stayed."

He also didn't expect that Fan Wenxun could actually inspire his fighting spirit to be a policeman. During the closed training, he was forced by Fan Wenxun to become his apprentice just because he gave Fan Wenxun a few advice. From then on, he had another follower.

However, after the chocolate incident, Li Ziyang became estranged from him. He understood the feeling of being rejected, so he did not force them to be friends. He would only occasionally meet him in the store recommended by Li Ziyang.

The scene was indeed a bit awkward. Li Ziyang and Li Ziyin arrived at the store earlier than them. He remembered the look in Li Ziyang's eyes when he saw Fan Wenxun following him, that kind of indescribable unwillingness, but when he turned around, he found that Li Ziyin was also very strange.

I thought they would end their dispute at this point, but two weeks later, Li Ziyang waited at the school gate and suggested having dinner together. This time, he was in a much better mood than before, not as gloomy, and seemed to have let it go.

Fan Wenxun once joked that wherever Li Ziyang was, his younger brother would be there too. Within three seconds of his words, Li Ziyan showed up, and the four of them became stable dining partners.

"Now you can make a request."

Jiang Li's fingers wrapped around his hair and entwined it, waiting for the winner to claim the prize.

Chen An thought for a long time, "I hope you will be safe and happy forever, okay?"

"It doesn't count! What do you call that?" Jiang Li quickly denied it, turning his head to avoid the strong gaze in the darkness. His face flushed. "I already said I would unconditionally satisfy the other party on one thing! This doesn't count!"

Chen An smiled as he watched him grow frustrated. "Why doesn't it count? Check the question."

Jiang Li was instantly deflated, "Okay, I thought..."

"Do you think I'll take this opportunity to propose being together?"

Jiang Li let go of him, mumbling, "I gave you a chance last time, and I gave you a chance this time, why don't you fall for it?"

"There's no room for routine in relationships."

Jiang Li glanced at him, sometimes not knowing whether to say he was old-fashioned or sincere.

"Actually, I heard it a long time ago, that time in the hospital."

"How do you feel?"

"Feelings?" Jiang Li thought for a moment and said sincerely, "You're so stupid."

"Yeah." Chen An's voice changed from cheerful to deep. "I'm too slow and made you sad."

Jiang Li realized that he was serious. He stroked his cheek with his rough palm and gently lifted his chin. The distance between them was so close that he could even see his eyelashes clearly. After a few seconds, a bewitching voice outlined the obvious answer.

"Let's stay together, okay?"

"…good."
