Chapter 220 Zuo Family

"Wife, the tea is ready!" Lu Shiyi came out with a tray with 11 cups of fruit tea on it. "I'll go get Hanhan later. You talk to the sisters-in-law first."

"Yeah!" Su Jin nodded, picked up the phone beside him with his right hand, and called the GA staff.

After Su Jin explained the details, she hung up the phone.

"Teacher Su, is there any reply from the other side?" Mrs. Liu asked directly.

"They said they would report it, but I don't know if they would agree." Su Jin replied truthfully.

When the sisters-in-law heard Su Jin's words, they felt relieved.

"How do you get along with Minister Lu? How can you even get him to cook?" Several sisters-in-law were curious about this.

Their husbands all came from wealthy families, and none of them listened to their wives so much, and even made tea when their wives entertained guests.

"Husband and wife help each other," Su Jin told her sisters-in-law, "At home, the wife can't take on all the responsibilities. The husband also needs to help. A family of two cannot be supported by one person alone."

When the family members heard Su Jin's words, it seemed as if a new world had opened up.

Su Jin sent the family members home before Lu Shiyi came out of the study and sat down next to her. He heard the family members' requests in the study, and Su Jin's answer was too standard.

"Wife, have you decided to help those sisters-in-law?" Lu Shiyi did not interfere with Su Jin's decision. It would be good for Su Jin to have a few familiar friends in the courtyard. "You decide for yourself."

Su Jin leaned on Lu Shiyi's shoulder, her eyes fixed on the TV not far away. There were only 8 channels now, and they mostly watched the news, and rarely watched anything else at other times.

"Ayi, I called the higher-ups and told them about the situation of all the sisters-in-law. I won't interfere whether they arrange jobs for you or not." Su Jin just didn't want to disappoint them.

The ten sisters-in-law left the Lu family. Many people paid attention to their expressions. They gathered in a corner of the small garden and discussed what to say when they returned.

"Didn't the family tell us to get along well with Su Jin?" As the oldest family member among the ten people, Sister Zuo heard her husband's family talking about Su Jin every day. She thought that Su Jin was brought up by the Lu family.

After listening to Su Jin's conversation with the GA minister, Sister Zuo realized that she was wrong. Su Jin had no real talent or knowledge, and the GA side would definitely not give her face.

"We are all the same. We are on good terms with Su Jin, so we can say that we are helping her integrate into the family compound." Several sisters-in-law thought of an excuse, "We are on the same page, so we can say that we are going to visit her."

"It's convenient for us to go there if the Ministry of Land Affairs visits us," Wang's wife agreed. "If you don't have a job now, don't tell your family. Wait until you get the manuscript fee."

Several sisters-in-law have their own dissatisfactions at home, and the sisters-in-law from their husband's family are watching each other, fearing that the resources in their husband's family will be unbalanced.

When Sister Zuo returned home, her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law learned that she had stayed in the Lu family for a long time, and the three of them were waiting to interrogate her.

"Old lady, can you see Teacher Su at Bu Lu's house?" The mother-in-law was rarely kind to Sister-in-law Zuo.

Several sisters-in-law looked at her jealously, but her mother-in-law seemed not to see anything.

Sister-in-law Zuo was born in an ordinary teacher's family. She worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before her marriage. She was the eldest daughter-in-law selected by Mr. Zuo himself. The couple fell in love at first sight after a blind date. Her husband protected her, but attracted the attention of her mother-in-law and several other sisters-in-law who were of the same social status.

"Sister-in-law, why didn't you call us when you went to Lu Bu's house?" said the second brother's wife in a sour tone.

Sister-in-law Zuo sat on the sofa on the left, respectfully inviting them to go out for the party. It was Sister-in-law Wang who suggested going to Lu Bu's house.

The sisters-in-law also shut up when they heard the names of the other people at the party. Among the remaining 9 people, 5 had worked as interpreters, and the other 4 were top students who graduated from the minor language department of the Imperial Capital University.

Compared with them, the sisters-in-law have a huge gap in educational background, and even if they meet, they don’t have much in common.

"Did Teacher Su ask if he could help you join GA's translation team?" When the third sister-in-law heard that Sister Zuo went to find Su Jin, she immediately understood that she was looking for a job.

"That's not for Teacher Su to decide. I'm not looking for a job, I'm just going there to greet people." Sister Zuo immediately shook her head. "Lu Bu is also at home, so we didn't dare to tell anyone."

The sisters-in-law listened to Sister-in-law Zuo's words and felt relieved. Before Lu Shiyi arrived, Old Man Zuo mentioned that he wanted to have more contact with Su Jin, hoping that the Zuo family could take advantage of the Lu family.

"Sister-in-law, next time you go to the Lu family, can you bring me and my third sister-in-law with you?" My second sister-in-law is selfish and will pounce on any benefit she sees.

"We've agreed that ten of us will go together for now. Second and third sisters-in-law, can you two fit in with that group?" Sister-in-law Zuo looked at her two sisters-in-law coldly. "If you can't fit in, I'll lead you there. Are you trying to block this path?"

After the words fell, the two sisters-in-law dared not say anything anymore, and Madam Zuo glared at her two daughters-in-law.

"Old lady, you should take your sisters-in-law out for more outings." Madam Zuo advised her eldest daughter-in-law.

There are three daughters-in-law in the family. The eldest daughter-in-law was selected by Mr. Zuo himself, and the second and third daughters-in-law were selected by Mrs. Zuo herself.

As the eldest daughter-in-law, Yang Qing had a wry smile on her face. Her two sisters-in-law looked down on her at all, but now that there were benefits, they pounced on her directly.

"I can become good friends with Teacher Su. If my two younger brothers and sisters want to be friends with Teacher Su, it would be best if they could learn more about the things that Teacher Su is interested in." Even after leaving her job, Yang Qing did not give up learning.

Zuo Kai even supported Yang Qing's studies. He often took back the books she needed and returned them after she finished reading them.

"Sister-in-law, can you recommend some books to us?" The two sisters-in-law stared at Sister-in-law Zuo for saying the wrong thing, their eyes sparkling.
