Chapter 555

1. A strange case of someone falling from a building has occurred at Holy Cross College.

That night, in the early hours of the morning, under an unusually bright moon, a student jumped from the roof of the library, which was seven stories high.

Why would students be allowed to climb to the rooftop in the middle of the night in a strictly managed provincial-level key high school? Nobody knows.

Why he jumped off the building—nobody knows;

Why was there an expression of extreme terror reflected on the half-shattered face? Nobody knew.

The scene was quickly cordoned off, and two police officers were investigating.

"Sigh, how tragic. This kid must have committed suicide because of a broken heart, right?" Officer A said with a regretful expression, offering his guess.

“That’s probably it too.” After replying, Officer B suddenly noticed something strange about the body. “Take a look.”

Police Officer A carefully examined the lower half of the body, especially the legs. "The leg bones are so badly shattered, it's terrifying. Even from a fall, there shouldn't be such severe fractures! It's very strange."

Police Officer B replied, "That is indeed very strange. If his legs were already so badly injured before he fell, how did he manage to get to the seventh floor of the library?"

Police Officer A said, "What's even stranger is that a human being is not strong enough to cause such severe injuries. Don't you look closely? The bones are completely shattered."

"This doesn't seem like something a human would do?" A chill ran down Officer B's spine.

He recalled the case from a few days ago, all of which was information that had been blocked and could only circulate within the Major Crimes Unit.

Ten days ago, a dead body was found hanging upside down on a utility pole on a secluded path. The body had been skinned alive and its appearance was gruesome.

Seven days ago, an unidentified corpse was found by the lake. Its bones, muscles, and internal organs had all been removed and replaced with stones, sandalwood, and some strange seeds.

"Hey, stop thinking about it. This isn't something we can investigate, except for the 'Dawn Poetry Society.'"

The Dawn Poetry Society... is an exorcism organization, and its existence is only known to a very small number of criminal police officers who have dealt with paranormal cases.

Only high-ranking criminal investigators truly understand their internal operations.

A reminded B that this incident seemed to have exceeded the normal scope of police investigation and that they should stop interfering. Then A made a phone call to the college principal.

-

“Okay…I understand…” Principal Zhou hung up the police’s phone with a trembling voice, and then dialed another number.

Unexpectedly, the bizarre murders that happened outside also occurred at the school. With such an incident, the school's reputation has been ruined, and the principal will certainly have to step down.

Unless the person he just called can solve this strange case.

Even after hanging up the phone, the principal was still doubtful that those few people could really solve a problem that the police couldn't.

About twenty minutes later, there was a knock on the principal's office door, and then three people with different styles entered from outside.

Wasn't it supposed to be four people? Anyway, they are members of the "Dawn Poetry Society." Although none of them are considered non-mainstream, the combination of two men and one woman gives off a peculiar vibe.

Each of them possessed an extraordinary aura, clearly not ordinary people, yet there was an inexplicable sense of disharmony when the three of them appeared together.

The leader was a young man wearing a black trench coat, carrying a heavy suitcase.

The principal, with a forced smile, tried to warmly greet the four, but the young man in the trench coat waved him off. "No need."

This person had short hair and wore black-rimmed glasses, but his face was a little pale, which contrasted sharply with his black clothing.

He briefly introduced himself: "You can call me Uncle Bin, but that's just a pseudonym."

"Oh, Uncle Bin, hello, hello! You're my savior..."

The two shook hands, and Principal Zhou realized that the other person was very strong, almost breaking his hand.

An unknown force, carrying a chill, traveled from his palm to his heart.

Uncle Bin gave a brief smile.

At this moment, the woman behind him seemed quite impatient and urged, "Can you hurry up? We still need to get to the crime scene to investigate!"

Uncle Bin continued to introduce his companion: "This big sister in the white coat is called Sang Huanxin. She is an alchemist and is also very knowledgeable in the field of forensic medicine."

This young man, Lin Yue, is my capable assistant, a detective, and a samurai swordsman. And this last beautiful woman, Shan Shan, is our "assassin," an expert in intelligence gathering. She knows everything, like the details of the recent murder at Holy Cross Academy, and even the 200,000 yuan in sponsorship fees you received last year, Principal Zhou.

After hearing this, Principal Zhou broke out in a cold sweat and almost knelt down. But he couldn't find the female assassin.

After calmly explaining everything, Uncle Bin demanded, "Whether you embezzle or not is none of my business, but this case must be under my jurisdiction. If you want to solve the case, you must give us absolute power within the school."

Principal Zhou could only agree repeatedly.

He continued to sized up the man in the trench coat's companion, sweating profusely.

The woman named Sang Huanxin was wearing a white trench coat, just like a doctor in a white lab coat. She had a cold expression and looked like a serious, mature woman.

The young man named Lin Yue looked like a high school student, wearing a blue newsboy cap. He didn't say a word and said he had a knife, but he didn't have any weapon in his hand.

As for the one named Shanshan, she has not shown up yet.

"Then, esteemed officials, do you have any suggestions on how to..."

“I have already made a detailed plan. Sang and I will teach at the school as new teachers, while Lin Yue will attend classes as a transfer student. As for Shan Shan, she will not show herself, so she will lie in wait at the school to gather intelligence.”

Principal Zhou repeatedly begged Uncle Bin to stop investigating the embezzlement.
