Outside, a huge black box stood tall in mid-air, emitting wisps of black mist. Its shape resembled a giant black coffin, and the contents of the box were completely obscured.

On the surface of the black coffin, there were countless layers of black poisonous thorns, but they seemed unable to penetrate the black coffin, causing no pain or itch whatsoever.

The man-eating trees in the forest, with their pale, dead faces, revealed expressions of extreme anger, baring their teeth and emitting bursts of rage.

However, the enormous vines standing in mid-air remained motionless upon seeing the black coffin.

After a while, a change slowly occurred on the huge black vine. A huge face appeared on the vine, but what was chilling was that the face had no features, as if it had been directly slashed by someone with a knife.

After that face appeared, the man-eating trees that had been baring their teeth all fell silent, and the dead faces all showed a respectful expression.

The already terrifying, dead-faced features became even more chilling when they displayed such a respectful expression.

The enormous, faceless human face that emerged from the massive vine ignored its surroundings and stared intently at the black coffin. Although its eyes were not visible, its indifference was unmistakable.

I hadn't heard any sounds from outside for a long time, which I found a little strange. Had they given up? I was about to ask Grandpa when suddenly it seemed as if a gaze swept over us. That gaze seemed to come from outside the black coffin, devoid of any emotion, a kind of indifference towards life.

I don't know why, but I felt like that thing was staring at me. A cold sweat broke out on my back, and I felt very uncomfortable. My body stiffened.

Grandpa Shui Yanling also felt this gaze, as if the black coffin did not exist. That thing could actually see the situation here directly.

However, his gaze only lingered on Shui Yanling and Grandpa for a moment before leaving, and then stared directly at me. Grandpa and Shui Yanling were also a little puzzled, but they did not do anything.

Shui Yanling could naturally sense the stiffness in my body, but at this moment she could only suppress the ghostly energy on her body under this gaze, because this gaze was too powerful and dangerous. If she did not suppress it, she might directly expose her true form, so she had no way to help me.

Grandpa seemed to have thought of something, but he was still unsure and seemed to need to verify it.

I felt extremely uncomfortable being stared at like that, but since I couldn't see anything, I naturally felt very flustered.

What I didn't notice was that the eyes of the ghost head on my shoulder seemed to light up under this gaze, but I naturally didn't see it.

However, Grandpa and that gaze seemed to have noticed at the same time. Grandpa immediately looked enlightened, while the gaze seemed to darken and become extremely angry after realizing this.

A huge scream came from outside the black coffin, as if shaking the ground, and the black coffin itself seemed to tremble.

That gaze vanished from me in an instant, and I immediately collapsed to the ground. The power of that gaze was simply too overwhelming. If I'm not mistaken, it must have been the Tree King. I never imagined that the Tree King would be so powerful.

Upon hearing the sound, my face instantly turned pale. What was going on? I was even a little confused. Was there something wrong with me? Why would the Tree King suddenly become angry?

Before I could think it through, Grandpa shouted that something was wrong and told us to lie down immediately.

Outside, the faceless figure was twisted into a grotesque mess, and a tremendous scream echoed from the depths of the forest.

Upon hearing the cry, the man-eating trees seemed to be terrified. On some of the trees, the pale, lifeless faces even developed cracks, and a blood-like sap flowed from the cracks, dripping onto the green vines below.

Upon sensing the sap, the vines surged wildly and erratically.

For some reason, after those red vines suddenly appeared, the tree king seemed to go berserk. A pair of blood-red eyes grew directly from its faceless face, and under the light of those blood-red eyes, the originally few red vines seemed to spread out.

Like dye, the surrounding vines soon turned completely red, flailing wildly around, while the original giant vine belonging to the Tree King grew even thicker.

At this moment, the forest seemed to be in chaos, as if all the man-eating trees felt the wrath of their king, and the eyes on their dead faces turned blood red.

"Kill them, kill them!" The orderly and murderous voices echoed throughout the forest, like a curse. Hearing this voice in the black coffin, my head felt like it was about to split open, but there was nothing I could do but hold my head and lie on the ground.

Seeing that things were not going well, Grandpa quickly gathered his hand seals again to support the black coffin. Although he was very confident in the black coffin, the angry and impulsive aura outside made him a little scared.

A muffled thud came from outside the black coffin, as if something was pounding on it. However, the coffin only shook slightly and did not shatter.

Another sound rang out, as if the black coffin was being constantly struck from outside, but the coffin only trembled slightly.
