Her Mission 5

"You..." Rong Hua was speechless, looking at Su Yin with a look of shock he had never seen before. What was going on? In just a few words, his once clear eyes had turned so cold, no longer the same as before, but with a coldness he had never seen before. That was the symbol of strength.

Was it him who had turned her into this? But wasn't this exactly what he had intended? Wasn't this what he had hoped to see her become when he had left her behind? Wasn't this what he had always hoped for? When he first saw her, he had hoped that she could truly grow into someone who could handle this impossible task.

But why, even though he was about to succeed, why did he suddenly feel a strange sense of sadness in his heart? Gently pressing his hand on his chest, Rong Hua tried his best to suppress the feeling in his heart.

"Why aren't you talking, Master? Is there nothing to say?" Su Yin smiled again and looked at Rong Hua's actions coldly.

"I told you, this wasn't my intention." Rong Hua shook his head dejectedly and denied it. He murmured unconsciously, "I just wanted to see you properly, why did it... turn out like this..."

"What?" Su Yin asked with a frown, not hearing Rong Hua's next words clearly.

"Nothing." Rong Hua smiled dejectedly and looked at Su Yin somewhat powerlessly, "Do you still remember what I taught you in Shenghan Mountain?"

"Of course I remember it vividly. I cannot deny that although Master's teachings to me in Shenghan Mountain caused me to be eliminated as demonic enemies many times, they always helped me a lot at the most critical moments." Su Yin looked back coldly, and although he was clearly expressing his gratitude, there was not a trace of gratitude in his heart.

"That's good." As if he didn't hear the sarcasm in Su Yin's eyes, Rong Hua asked calmly, "Then, are you still willing to return to Shenghan Mountain?"

"What?" Su Yin was visibly taken aback by Rong Hua's unexpected question. "You want me to go back? Is that a threat?" Su Yin slowly turned his head towards the floating ancient jade in front of Rong Hua, a hint of enthusiasm in his eyes.

"No, whether you agree or not, I will give this ancient jade to you." Rong Hua said lightly.

"Why... are you doing this?" Su Yin asked in surprise.

"You, what do you want to do again?" Su Yin looked at Rong Hua cautiously and vigilantly.

"Is this the role I play in your heart now?" Rong Hua glanced at Su Yin. There was something unclear in his eyes, but a hint of hurt clearly flashed across his eyes.

Isn't that right? Su Yin didn't say anything, pretending to agree. The ancient jade in the air, shimmering green, shone brightly in the sunlight. That was... her only key to returning home.

"What do you want? Or what do you want from me?" She'd give everything to return home. It wasn't just because she missed home, her parents, and everything in the 21st century, but also because... this place simply wasn't for her. She'd experienced the daily struggles of being torn apart by tigers and wolves once and never wanted to experience it again. But her story had only just begun.

"I've never thought about what I want from you." Rong Hua sighed slightly and said, "It's just... the way of life is unpredictable. You have your mission, and so do I."

"Are you saying that everything you did was... your mission? Someone asked you to do this?" Su Yin was shocked when he heard the peculiar meaning in Rong Hua's words, and then asked immediately.
