Inside the Mugen Train, Chinatsu and the others sat quietly in their seats, waiting. There was nothing they could do; they couldn't pinpoint the demon's location until it made a move. Even Tanjiro's nose couldn't help them in this situation.
Chika, with one hand supporting her head, turned to look at the window beside her, watching the rapid changes, and couldn't help but sigh.
"Tanjiro, Nezuko, let's go on a family trip after all this is over," Chinatsu said softly, resting her head on her hand and gazing at the ever-changing scenery outside the window.
"Uh-huh!"
Nezuko happily raised her hands in agreement, but Chinatsu waited for a while but did not hear Tanjiro's voice.
Chika was puzzled for a moment before turning her head around. She saw that Tanjiro and the others had fallen asleep, leaning against each other.
What's going on here?!
In the original story, Lower Moon One, Enmu, uses train tickets stained with his own blood as a medium to put anyone who touches the tickets into a deep sleep.
The problem is... we didn't buy tickets at all. We got in by righteously evading fares and didn't even touch the train tickets. How did we get caught?
Is it the convergence of world lines? Or did Nightmare herself have a backup plan?
As Chika was thinking this, she turned her head to look at Kyojuro on the other side. Fortunately, Kyojuro was just squinting and hadn't completely fallen asleep yet.
She breathed a sigh of relief, then placed both hands on Kyojuro's shoulders, shaking him and calling out, "Kyojuro! Kyojuro! Don't sleep! This is a demon's Blood Demon Art!"
Kyojuro, who was about to fall asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and stood up from his seat upon hearing this.
"What? What! A ghost! Where is it?!"
Kyojuro quickly turned his head to scan his surroundings, his hands already on the scabbard at his waist, ready to draw his sword at any moment.
When Kyojuro scanned his surroundings and found no ghosts, he looked at Chinatsu in a daze, only to see Chinatsu and Nezuko staring at him with blank, indifferent eyes.
"Let me make it clear beforehand, I never said there was a ghost here."
Chinatsu shrugged and pointed a finger at Tanjiro and the others beside her. After discovering that Tanjiro and the others had fallen asleep, Kyojuro immediately understood what was going on.
Kyojuro finally sat down and said somewhat awkwardly, "It's actually a Blood Demon Art that can make people fall asleep. I actually fell for it. How embarrassing, how embarrassing."
Blood Demon Art!
High-ranking demons possess special abilities, and the higher the rank of the demon, the stronger the Blood Demon Art. Now that this Blood Demon Art can interfere with the "Pillars," it can be confirmed that it is the work of the Twelve Demon Moons.
Thinking about this, Kyojuro suddenly wondered why Chinatsu hadn't been affected. He assumed Nezuko was a demon and therefore unaffected by the Blood Demon Art. Oh well, he'd ask her later!
With Nezuko as a precedent for being unafraid of sunlight and able to resist bloodlust, even if Chinatsu were to tell him now that she was actually a demon, Kyojuro would only be surprised for a moment. In any case, there was no doubt that Chinatsu was not an enemy.
The enemy is in the dark, while we are in the light.
This is indeed a difficult situation, but fortunately, Chika knows the original plot: the Lower Moon One Nightmare attempts to merge with the entire train and then devour all life inside.
When it thinks it has the upper hand and exposes its neck, both Chinatsu and Kyojuro can easily kill it.
But before that...
Chika turned her head to look at the three people sleeping soundly beside her, and walked over step by step with a smile.
Tanjiro's dream realm.
Tanjiro walked listlessly across the snow with his head down. A heavy snowstorm was raging. When Tanjiro realized what was happening, he quickly drew his Nichirin Blade from his waist and looked around warily.
"What's going on? What happened? Why am I here?!" Tanjiro gasped for breath, constantly switching perspectives. Just when he thought he had calmed down, he suddenly turned around and looked behind him.
"It's my brother!"
"Brother, you're back! Welcome home! Have you sold all the charcoal?"
Tanjiro's eyes widened as a boy and a girl appeared before him. They were his younger brother and sister, Kamado Shigeru and Kamado Hanako.
Looking at his younger brother and sister, Tanjiro's Nichirin Blade involuntarily slipped from his hand and fell into the snow. Without even thinking, he quickly stepped forward, and the two of them excitedly fell to the ground.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
Tanjiro's inner emotions poured out, and his clothes had been secretly changed back to the ordinary clothes he wore when he first made a living selling charcoal, after the Demon Slayer Corps system was established.
She returned home with her younger siblings. Her mother, Kamado Aoi, her brothers, Kamado Takeo, Shigeru, and Rokuta, her sister, Kamado Nezuko, and her older sister, Kamado Chinatsu, were all at home.
"Mom! Mom! My brother suddenly started crying and knocked us to the ground! It really scared us!"
"That's really strange~"
Hearing these words, Tanjiro's mother, Kamado Aoi, looked at him with slight concern and said, "He's probably tired, Tanjiro. Are you alright?"
Tanjiro smiled and replied, "It's alright, I'm used to it."
At this moment, Tanjiro had forgotten everything in reality. He didn't just treat reality as a dream; he had truly forgotten it all. It was as if time had been reversed, and everything seemed so normal and harmonious.
Tanjiro turned to look at his older sister, Chinatsu Kamado, who was smiling at him.
Yes, this is my home. I think I had some kind of nightmare before... I don't remember, anyway, everyone is fine...
Just as Tanjiro was thinking this, the expression on Chinatsu Kamado's face suddenly changed. She walked step by step towards Tanjiro. Tanjiro opened his mouth in confusion, wanting to say something, when a big punch slapped him across the face.
Tanjiro was stunned, and so were everyone around him.
Tanjiro Kamado raised one hand to cover his slapped cheek, staring dumbfounded at Chinatsu in front of him.
Chinatsu's clothes changed from casual clothes to Demon Slayer Corps uniform, and he also noticed the change in his clothes, with his Nichirin Blade tucked into his waistband.
"Wake up! This isn't reality. You're immersed in a false world, Tanjiro. You're not such a coward, are you?"
In his dream, Tanjiro's pupils flashed with a bright light as he fully recalled everything.
Meanwhile, in reality, Tanjiro, who was sitting in his seat, had a burning red handprint on his face, while standing next to him was Chinatsu, whose hand was also hurting from exerting too much force and who was shaking her hand at the air in an attempt to relieve the pain.
Psychiatric hypnosis?
It has to be a physics major, because brute force can overcome all laws.
Of course, it's also because they haven't been immersed in the dream world for long; otherwise, a slap alone wouldn't have been enough.
Tanjiro, sitting in his chair, furrowed and relaxed his brows wildly. His false mental world shattered, and a few seconds later, Tanjiro suddenly opened his eyes, panting heavily.
He turned his head and looked around, and found that Zenitsu and Inosuke sitting next to him also had red handprints on their faces.
Tanjiro: Suddenly I feel like my mindset is back to normal...
