Chapter 150 Restrained Emotions

Chapter 150 Restrained Emotions

Tokito Ichiro watched as blood slid down Iwakatsu's arm, black fingernails digging into his skin, the sudden turn of events leaving him dumbfounded.

"elder brother?"

Yoriichi suddenly pulled Iwakatsu's hand away, and the wound on his arm disappeared instantly, leaving only bloodstains to show that this was not a dream.

Iwakatsu covered his mouth, his arm, which was being gripped by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, ached. He trembled, and a moment of clarity filled him with fear.

He almost killed Ichiro just now.

As Yan Sheng thought this, the pervasive stench of blood still irritated him, and his mouth watered uncontrollably. He shook his head, forcing himself to clear his head.

Damn it, I'm too late.

Iwakatsu looked up and saw Gyutaro's head severed; the man seemed unwilling to accept it. Iwakatsu glanced at Yoriichi Tsugikuni behind him and felt even more dizzy.

With the Son of God present, Mei and Gyutaro could never survive. He forcefully yanked his hand away from the arm that Yoriichi Tsugikuni had tied to him.

He knew he shouldn't go, but he wanted to see them, to see the two children one last time.

"Hurry up—".

Uzui Tengen, who had just severed Gyutaro's neck, noticed the change in the other's body. He roared and ran quickly, ignoring the bleeding wound on his back, and hoisted Zenitsu and Inosuke, who were not far away, onto his shoulders.

A whirlpool carrying a poisoned blade swept up, and Iwakatsu suddenly pushed Yoriichi Tsugikuni aside, reaching out to hug Ichiro and Tanjiro.

The house was reduced to ruins by the wind blades, the impact making Iwakatsu's vision blur. He hadn't felt this weak in a long time. The last time he felt this way was probably when he was still in the Demon Slayer Corps and was injured. (He'd been knocked unconscious by Yoriichi's attack.)

His life hung by a thread; he was dizzy and his vision was blurred; the noise around him made his head ache.

The wind blade attack stopped shortly afterward, and the scene was instantly reduced to ruins. Fortunately, the crowd had been led away by Uzui Tengen's wife, leaving only the two of them at the scene.

"elder brother--."

Ichiro, who had been released by Iwakatsu, looked at the blood staining his purple kimono and tears welled up in his eyes. Tanjiro supported Iwakatsu and felt the wet touch on his palm.

"It's alright, I am a ghost." Ghosts cannot die from injuries.

He gave a smile, but his pale face and disheveled hair revealed his wretched state. Blood clung to his black hair, and exhaustion was evident on his face.

These injuries were nothing to Yan Sheng; he just felt exhausted. Suppressing his desires was difficult enough, let alone supporting the healing of his wounds.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni stepped forward and helped Iwakatsu up. He felt his hands trembling slightly as he watched Iwakatsu's wounds healing rapidly. He touched Iwakatsu's blood-covered forehead with his fingertips.

"Brother, please, don't do this."

Don't get hurt like this in front of me, I can't accept it. You are the only motivation that has helped me get through these long years.

"They don't know proper etiquette."

Iwakatsu shook his head, his thoughts a little muddled. He sensed Yoriichi's movement, avoided the other's fiery red eyes, and frowned.

"You scared me to death, bro."

Tokito Ichiro watched as Iwakatsu tilted his head and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He hadn't even realized he was being hugged, and it was great to see that the other person still had energy.

Tanjiro looked at Iwakatsu with concern. He could smell a faint scent of longing, though it was very faint, it lingered there.

"Ichiro! Tanjiro!"

Zenitsu ran over, his face streaked with tears and snot, carrying Inosuke on his back; the latter was clearly in bad shape.

"It's poison!"

Ichiro frowned, and Tanjiro panicked; they had no way to cure the poison.

"Whoa—Is Inosuke going to die?"

Although Zenitsu and Inosuke didn't get along very well, he didn't want his longtime comrade to die. As he listened to the noise, Iwakatsu felt his veins bulge.

It's so noisy

He looked down at the somewhat damaged wooden box on Tanjiro's back and knocked on it. He watched as the box door opened and Nezuko, biting on a strip of cloth, poked her head out.

"Let her give it a try."

Iwakatsu reached out and picked up the tiny Nezuko, placing her between the group. Seeing their bewildered expressions, he gently patted the little one's head.

"Whoosh—".

As Nezuko placed her hand on Inosuke, flames ignited, burning away all the poison on his body.

"it works!"

Tanjiro smiled as he watched Inosuke's breathing calm down, and Zenitsu couldn't help but hug Ichiro next to him and burst into tears.

"This is great, waaaaaah!"

"How disgusting, don't rub your snot near my wound."

Tokito Ichiro pulled Zenitsu along with a look of disgust, looking around but not seeing Iwakatsu and Yoriichi.

"Brother, you should rest first."

Seeing Iwakatsu walking forward in his wooden clogs, Yoriichi Tsugikuni wanted to go up and stop him, but Iwakatsu's aura prevented him from doing so.

I feel like pulling the other person will make them angry.

Iwakatsu only wanted to follow the scent to find Ume and Gyutaro; the demon died the moment his head was cut off. He had a premonition that if Muzan Kibutsuji saw their memories, he would go insane.

He was feeling terrible, and Yoriichi Tsugikuni was chattering away beside him, making his head ache even more. He looked into the distance, and a somewhat familiar voice came from nearby, which calmed him down.

Found it.

Tanjiro looked at Ichiro, who was carrying him on his back, and Nezuko, who was tugging at his sleeve as they ran, and felt a little embarrassed.

"Ichiro, you're injured too, why don't you put me down?"

Tokito Yuichiro rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Come on, putting you down is like helping an old man walk. Didn't you want to check the ghost's head? You're taking forever."

Nezuko raised her head, her bright eyes looking at Ichiro. When she met his gaze, she nodded firmly.

"Look, Nezuko agrees with me. Also, don't pull my hair, it hurts so much."

"Oh, oh, oh."

Tanjiro sighed and, as they passed a pool of blood, patted Yuichiro to stop. After watching Tanjiro collect the blood with a scalpel, Yuichiro curiously picked it up and examined it; it was the first time he had ever seen such a skillful tool.

When Ichiro saw Chachamaru again, he was already used to it. Watching the other disappear with a scalpel, he couldn't help but think of what he had said to Tanjiro before.

Can ghosts really turn back into humans?

He picked Tanjiro up again, and soon the two saw a red figure standing there, motionless.

"Brother Yuanyi?"

Tokito Ichiro stepped forward and stopped beside the other person. He saw Iwakatsu kneeling there, his black hair loose, and he couldn't see his expression.

"Mei and Gyutaro, you've depended on each other for so long... In the end, let's stop arguing."

Yan Sheng reached out and touched the heads of the two people who were gradually disappearing. His voice was flat and calm as he spoke.

"Lord Kokushibo, waaaaah, it's because I'm too weak, I've dragged my brother down with me, waaaaah—."

Mei's tears kept flowing. When Yan Sheng called her name, she couldn't say anything nasty. The familiar sense of security made her unable to hold back her sobs.

"Shut up, who said that? My plum is the best in the world."

"Gyutaro roared, tears streaming down his face. He didn't want to die, he didn't want Mei to die, why couldn't he protect her?"

"Thank you, brother—".

Mei's eyes widened as she looked at Gyutaro and couldn't help but smile. So that's what he was thinking. Even though she would soon disappear from the world, she was still happy.

"Wait, Mei—."

As Gyutaro watched Mei disappear, he couldn't help but shout. He was unwilling, unwilling! His sister should grow up happily.

"We'll see each other again soon..."

As Iwakatsu watched Gyutaro disappear, the ashes gradually dissipated from his hands, and a pang of sadness gripped his heart.
