Chapter 113 A Matter of Life and Death

The cave shook violently, causing rocks to fall from above, forcing Conan and the others to scatter and take cover.

"Everyone be careful!" Conan shouted.

Ran Mouri looked around in horror: "What on earth is going on?"

Nightshade surveyed his surroundings: "It looks like he activated some kind of self-destruct mechanism."

Ai Haibara said urgently, "We must find an exit as soon as possible!"

Lin Yu turned on his flashlight, trying to find a way out, but the dust filled the air, greatly obstructing his vision.

Just then, a huge rock came crashing down on them.

"Get out of the way!" Conan shoved his companion aside.

The stone slammed heavily onto the ground, sending up a spray of gravel.

“This can’t go on, we’ll be buried alive here!” Ran Mouri shouted.

Conan tried to calm himself down and think of a solution.

"Everyone, follow me, this way!" Relying on his memory of the route they took when entering the cave, he led them forward with difficulty.

However, the road became increasingly narrow, and in some places it was even blocked by fallen rocks.

"We can't get through!" Lin Yu said.

Conan looked at the obstacle in front of him and said, "Let's all push these rocks aside!"

With everyone working together and exerting tremendous effort, they finally managed to push aside some of the stones and barely manage to create a passage.

They continued forward, and the shaking of the cave became more and more violent, as if the whole world was about to collapse.

"Ah!" Ai Haibara suddenly slipped and fell into a deep pit.

"Ai Haibara!" Conan hurriedly reached out to pull her back, but it was too late.

"I'm fine, you guys keep going, don't worry about me!" Ai Haibara shouted from the bottom of the pit.

"No, we won't abandon you!" Conan said firmly.

Lin Yu found a rope and threw one end to Ai Haibara.

With everyone's help, Ai Haibara was finally pulled up.

"Thank you everyone," Ai Haibara said gratefully.

Just then, an even more violent roar came from deep within the cave.

"Oh no, let's go!" Conan shouted.

They ran desperately and finally saw a glimmer of light—it was the exit!

But the exit was blocked by a huge rock.

"Push together!" Conan shouted.

With everyone pushing with all their might, the rock finally moved slowly.

Just as they were about to escape the cave, a huge rock fell from above and crashed down on Conan.

"Conan!" Ran Mouri reacted quickly and pushed Conan away.

The boulder struck Ran Mouri's leg, and she cried out in pain.

"Ran-neechan!" Conan was extremely anxious.

Lin Yu and Ye Ying quickly came over to help and carried Ran Mouri out of the cave.

As soon as we emerged from the cave, the entire cave collapsed completely.

"Ran, you have to hold on!" Conan looked at Ran Mouri lying on the stretcher, her face as pale as paper and her body covered in blood. His bright eyes were instantly filled with tears, and the crystal tears kept swirling in his eyes, as if they would burst out at any moment.

Time was of the essence, and there was no room for delay. They rushed the seriously injured and unconscious Ran Mouri to the hospital in an ambulance as quickly as possible.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Conan and the others paced anxiously outside the operating room, like ants on a hot plate. Every minute and every second felt incredibly long and unbearable, their hearts filled with worry and fear.

After an unknown amount of time, the operating room door finally opened slowly, and a weary-looking doctor stepped out. Upon seeing this, everyone immediately swarmed around him, bombarding him with questions about Ran Mouri's condition.

"Please don't worry, everyone. The patient's condition has stabilized for now, but further observation and treatment are still needed for a period of time," the doctor explained calmly as he removed his mask. Hearing this, Conan and the others finally relaxed a little and breathed a sigh of relief.

However, in this brief moment of peace, a rapid cell phone ring suddenly shattered the silence. Conan instinctively pulled out his phone and saw that the caller ID showed it was the police. He quickly pressed the answer button, and a hurried voice came from the other end: "Conan, we've made some important discoveries, clues about that mysterious masked man..."
