Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Unexpectedly, Yu Xia's attitude was so firm that she didn't even spare him a glance. The man's face stiffened slightly.

He noticed Yu Xia and her group as soon as he came in. He observed them from the bar and noticed that they were not accompanied by any men. He raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking that this might be a good opportunity.

He waited a while, thinking that the group had drunk enough and it was getting late, so he decided to make his move at that moment. He put on his foolproof smile, thinking that there would be no surprises this time. He even had his standard smile ready to welcome Yu Xia, but he did not expect to be rejected so directly, without even a little room for maneuver.

What's going on? Aren't women usually most susceptible to this? Don't they love men who look refined, elegant, and gentlemanly? Why isn't it working today?

Thinking of this, the man quickly frowned, his face not looking good. He was on the verge of getting angry and was about to say something when he turned his head and met Yu Xia's cold eyes. His heart skipped a beat.

It was clearly a pair of beautiful eyes, but the cold, sharp glance it gave him from head to toe was so intense that he could sense a clear warning in it in just a second, which made him feel a little uneasy.

This brief moment of surprise lasted only a short time. The man quickly forced a polite smile, but his slightly stiff lips betrayed his true feelings: "Ha, that's a real pity. I hope I'll have the chance to treat you to a drink next time."

After saying that, before Yu Xia could respond, he immediately withdrew his hand holding the wine glass and left quickly. He even bumped into people at other tables because he was walking too fast, and said "Sorry" in a fluster.

Yu Xia snorted.

After the man left, Chi Ximin finally came to her senses, her eyes wide with shock, and she stammered, "Wow, Sister Yu Xia, you you you..."

She pointed at Yu Xia, speechless with shock.

"Hehe, never seen this before, have you? How about it?" Tang Chi seemed unfazed, holding up two fingers in front of his eyes. "Whoosh! That look is deadly, doesn't it send shivers down your spine?"

Chi Ximin nodded frantically. She had never seen Yu Xia like that before. Cold and expressionless, as if she were looking at some kind of trash, it was chilling and even a little scary to her.

"Haha, don't be afraid, she only acts like that with idiots. That guy just now was obviously no good," she said, patting Chi Ximin's face. "Don't worry, she'll definitely love a cutie like you." As she spoke, she winked at Chi Ximin, signaling her not to be afraid.

"Besides, if any bad guys come later, don't be afraid. Your sister Yu Xia knows Sanda (Chinese kickboxing), and she's..."

Before Tang Chi could finish speaking, Chi Ximin quickly interjected, her reaction swift this time: "Eighth Dan!"

As he spoke, he made an "eight" gesture with his hand, and his expression was quite arrogant and proud.

Tang Chi laughed so hard his stomach hurt, and he leaned on the table, banging on it: "Oh, right, right, right, your sister Yu Xia is an eighth-dan Sanda fighter, she's super good at fighting, she can take on one person if one comes, and two if two come, she can take on both of them, hahaha."

"Alright, little Chichi, I'm not some kind of violent person," Yu couldn't help but laugh. "What good things could I possibly beat up? I'm just doing this to rid society of evil."

"Besides, that guy's flirting skills were so low-class," Yu Xia frowned in disgust as she thought of him. "He acted so fakely, as if he was afraid people wouldn't see through him. His hypocrisy was disgusting."

"Hey, then tell me what a sophisticated way to flirt is like," Tang Chi joked on purpose.

“That must be…” Yu Xia picked up her wine glass, about to take a sip, when she suddenly caught sight of a figure in the center and paused.

Oh ho, here comes the opportunity!

Yu Xia held the wine glass to her lips, stunned, but didn't move.

Tang Chi and Chi Ximin looked at her.

Yu Xia paused for two seconds. The next second, they saw Yu Xia seem to come back to her senses. She slammed the cup back onto the table, then stood up abruptly and said with a bold and dashing air, "I'll now demonstrate to you what the correct way to strike up a conversation is."

Tang Chi: ? ? ?

Chi Ximin:? ? ?

Before Tang Chi and Chi Ximin could even react to what Yu Xia was about to do...

Then, the two of them saw Yu Xia walk straight to the center with a clear goal in mind, and then without any warning, she fell straight into the other person's arms in a very comical way, almost like she was trying to scam someone.

Tang Chi: ...

Chi Ximin:......

Yu Xia was full of confidence, confident in her perfect flirting skills, and had already mentally rehearsed the scene of saying the first words to the handsome guy. She was ready to show off her skills, and even had a smile on her face. She was just about to say her opening line when, out of nowhere, a foot appeared and tripped her.

All the beautiful fantasies in her mind vanished in an instant. Like a rogue, she pounced directly into his arms, looking extremely thirsty.

Yu Xia's head slammed into the man's hard chest, causing her to see stars and her vision to go completely black.

Damn it! Who's so inconsiderate? Why don't you put your legs under the table properly? Why are you sticking them out in the middle of the aisle? If you don't want your legs, just chop them off!

The moment Yu Xia crashed into the ground, a string of profanities immediately welled up in her mind.

Yu Xia touched something that was both hard and soft, and instinctively squeezed it.

The next second, a voice, clearly tinged with suppressed anger, came from above:

"What are you doing."

Upon hearing the sound, Yu Xia immediately let go of her hand in fright.

Then, reflexively, she sprang out of his arms. When she met his displeased gaze, Yu Xia was so shocked that she stammered, "Mr. Gu... Mr. Gu Gu Gu Gu Gu."

Gu Yubai was stunned when he saw Yu Xia's face.

When he received Chi Ximin's message, he drove over from his studio. The drive didn't take long, but there were too many cars outside the bar. After finally finding a parking space and parking his car, he came in, but the noise from the bar annoyed him immensely, and he couldn't find Chi Ximin for a long time.

Just as he was frowning and about to send a message to Chi Ximin to ask where she was, he saw a figure rushing towards him. He instinctively reached out to answer, and the next second, the person scratched his chest twice. Gu Yubai's face immediately turned ugly.

Are all the people in this bar so rude? They pounce on people they see? They touch people without their consent? Do they have no sense of shame or morality?

He'd lived for over twenty years and no one had ever dared to treat him like that.

Gu Yubai, with a sullen face, uttered the sentence he had just said.

But when he saw the face of the young anchor, his previously gloomy expression froze.

What's that little streamer doing here?

There was no longer any blame on his face; instead, his expression showed more surprise and astonishment.

After realizing what she had just touched, Yu Xia was so ashamed that she couldn't even lift her head. She had touched someone's pectoral muscles, and like a pervert, she had even squeezed them a couple of times. Although they did feel nice, this person was Gu Yubai, her client! How could she possibly live like this?!

She had just glanced at the guy standing here by chance from her booth. He was quite handsome, the kind you don't often see in bars. Since she was already here, she figured she might as well come over and show off her skills. Plus, Tang Chi was talking to her, so she decided to come over and chat him up. But she didn't really intend to do anything; she just wanted to strike up a conversation.

But who knew that someone tripped her up, causing her to make such a fool of herself. What's worse, it was Gu Yubai, whom she had just met a couple of days ago and chatted with this morning. But she hadn't paid any attention to him at first.

Heavens, please send her away! Yu Xia felt like dying right now, wishing she could dig herself up and bury herself right there in the ground.

“I…” Yu Xia began, almost in tears, “I tripped by accident just now, do you… do you believe me?” Yu Xia looked at him.

Gu Yubai: "..."

"Really, I... I really tripped. If you don't believe me, I'll show you," Yu Xia said, as if she had grasped a glimmer of hope for survival, and hurriedly added, "I'll point it out to you, it's right here..."

The conversation suddenly stopped.

Yu Xia was eager to point out the "culprit" to Gu Yubai, but when she turned her head, she couldn't see any feet at all; they were all neatly placed under the table.

Damn it! Where are your feet? Weren't they just here? You bastard, you dare to do it but not admit it, leaving her to bear all the blame!

Yu Xia immediately felt that she was in a situation she couldn't clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River.

"I really didn't mean to," she said, looking pale and helpless at Gu Yubai, feeling utterly speechless.

If someone trips and then disappears, who will stand up for her?

Gu Yubai glanced at her, a glance that was neither angry nor anything else, just a faint look without any obvious emotion.

He simply said, "Okay, I understand."

What does "know" mean? Does it mean you know she didn't do it on purpose? Or does it mean you know she's a pervert?

Yu Xia felt utterly hopeless.

Gu Yubai stood there, looking down. What caught his eye was Yu Xia's hair, tied up with a green ribbon. Her neck and collarbone formed a long, slender, white line, like a swan.

The young anchorwoman's hair was tied in a low ponytail, but it had become a little loose over time, with soft strands falling behind her ears, making her look very well-behaved.

Further down, there were the young anchor's clothes. Today, the young anchor wore a skirt that revealed her slender calves, which were very straight and well-proportioned, and very white. Under the lights, they were so white that they were dazzling, and Gu Yubai felt as if he was being dazzled.

The light green dress's top ribbon, hanging at the neck, was recessed and complemented the headband, seemingly reflecting light and shimmering.

This outfit suits the young anchor perfectly; it looks great.

But at this moment, the young anchor was looking down, her hands seemingly unsure of what to do, frantically scratching her neck a couple of times, her head frantically searching for something around her, not daring to look at him, like a child who had done something wrong.

"Fine, let it be. The streamer must have her reasons for doing this," Gu Yubai thought to himself as he watched the streamer scratching her head in frustration.

“I know, it’s not your fault,” Gu Yubai said.

Yu Xia suddenly raised her head.
