Independent Extra 2: Mingxia and Cheng②

Independent Extra 2: Mingxia and Cheng②

Hearing this, she shuddered and blurted out "No."

I've clearly decided to start a new life, so how can I just...

This was within Lin Minghe's expectations. He was not so conceited as to think that Xia Cheng had not been in a relationship for so many years because she was waiting for him.

"Okay." He didn't force her. Seeing her flushed face, he asked, "Do you want to stay for dinner? Thank you for bringing me the medicine."

He stood with his hands in his pockets, looking as straightforward as a playboy. He looked more mature, but Xia Cheng was a little uncomfortable with it.

"No thanks." She picked up her bag. "Since everything is fine, I'll leave first. Take care of yourself."

Lin Minghe watched him leave, ruffling her hair in frustration. Past emotions resurfaced in her heart. He was too anxious, and it scared her.

Xia Cheng escaped. The heating in Lin Minghe's house was on high, so she was woken up by the cold after she went out. She was glad that she didn't agree to him.

In fact, the one who cares most about what happened back then is Xia Cheng herself.

She would rather they blame themselves.

Xia Cheng felt that she had a strange personality, so she punished herself by not starting a new relationship. Gradually, she felt that she was freer and more at ease alone.

The reason she rejected Lin Minghe was not only because of this, but also because she didn't dare to face him.

Fortunately, after this confession, Lin Minghe stopped pestering her. Xia Cheng felt that he was just tempted by her and would soon forget it.

She diligently resumed her previous life. When she was in the sales department, she had good performance and saved a lot of money. She also had the ability to rent a house close to the company.

I heard that a swimming pool has recently opened near her home. Xia Cheng remembered what happened at the ice lake last time. Even if she didn't go to save people, she should learn to swim. She didn't know which would come first, the accident or tomorrow.

Learning to swim in winter is cheaper than in summer. After Xia Cheng signed up, she had her first class.

The class was led by a female coach who urged them to complete sufficient warm-up exercises before going into the water.

Although the swimming pool was kept at a constant temperature of 28 degrees, it still felt a little uncomfortable the moment she got into the water. Xia Cheng struggled for a few times before warming up. As soon as she slapped the water, someone on the shore told her not to move.

Xia Cheng stopped awkwardly and turned her head to see that the female coach had been replaced by a male coach. She recognized the male coach, and it was Lin Minghe!

Looking at the other students, when they saw Lin Minghe, they all flapped their wings like little ducks.

"Lin Minghe! World Champion!"

Xia Cheng quietly retreated to the back.

A female student asked, "Why is Lin Minghe here?"

Another female student said, "I only heard that Lin Minghe teaches students in this swimming pool, but I didn't expect he also teaches adults!"

Xia Cheng felt uncomfortable and climbed to the shore holding the stainless steel stairs. She blamed herself for not knowing in advance that Lin Minghe was teaching in this swimming pool. What should she do if he thought she came for him like before?

"Where are you going?" Lin Minghe moved the water and squatted on the shore to look at her.

"Coach Lin, I suddenly remembered that I have something else to do. I'll come back another day."

"Okay." Lin Minghe smiled and ignored her, turning to chat with other students.

Xia Cheng glanced at his sharp jawline and felt that he had changed a lot. She picked up the bath towel beside her and left.

Xia Cheng quickly made an appointment for her next class.

She was the only one there at this time.

As she was doing warm-up exercises, a tall figure came in from the entrance.

Looking back, it was Lin Minghe again.

She finally realized that last time was not a coincidence.

"You're not happy to see me. Do you hate me?" Lin Minghe put on his swimming cap, his brows slightly furrowed. "Don't take my words last time to heart. I only came here because the other coaches were busy."

Is this really the case?

Xia Cheng had a total of ten classes. When she was in the fifth class, she realized that something was seriously wrong.

Every time she used the large swimming pool alone, Lin Minghe gave her one-on-one guidance.

She couldn't help but ask, "What on earth do you want to do?"

Lin Minghe jumped into the water with a splash, showing off his beautiful swimming skills.

"How about it? Do you want to learn?"

Xia Cheng gritted her teeth and continued studying.

During the seventh class, Xia Cheng was lazy and didn't warm up seriously. After entering the water, he swam a few laps with a float board. He felt a little uncomfortable in his legs, but thought he was just in poor condition today.

After the class, when she was practicing alone in the water, her movements were interrupted, her calves were cramping and painful, and she couldn't straighten them at all.

Fortunately, there was a float, so he didn't fall. However, Xia Cheng actually drank a big gulp of water, and his arms were flailing around in the water, losing his rhythm.

With a splash and waves of water, Lin Minghe swam to her side.

His big hands gently grasped her waist and helped her up.

Xia Cheng panicked and hugged his neck.

“Huh…Huh…my leg is cramping!”

"You haven't warmed up?" He pointed out her question at a glance.

Xia Cheng nodded, resting her head on his chest. Seeing Lin Minghe's expression wasn't looking good through the reflection on the water, she was about to speak when he lifted her up and carried her to shore.

“What are you doing!”

He was still in the princess hug position.

"I don't want any of my students drowning in the pool," he scolded her.

Xia Cheng was placed on the chair by him.

She wrapped the blanket tightly around herself, but soon realized it was unnecessary.

When Lin Minghe massaged the inside of her calves, she was shaking with pain all over her body, which was also a kind of fever...

"What's wrong with me..."

"It's a soft tissue sprain." Lin Minghe performed flexion and extension exercises for her. "Rest for two weeks before returning to class."

"All right......"

Lin Minghe gave her a chestnut.

Two weeks after not going swimming, Xia Cheng met Lin Minghe again. He brought his dog to the company, but he was nowhere to be found. Guan Jun, who was wandering around the marketing department, rushed over as soon as he saw Xia Cheng.

When Xia Cheng saw the name on the collar, she realized that it was Lin Minghe's dog, but after asking around, she still didn't know where Lin Minghe was.

In fact, Lin Minghe was secretly following her.

Seeing Xia Cheng was about to deliver the championship to Ms. Lin, he immediately appeared.

"Ahem, champion, come here."

The champion glanced at him and licked Xia Cheng twice.

Lin Minghe: “............” You damn lickspittle.

Xia Cheng: "Go back quickly and don't make your dad angry. I'll give you canned food another day."

The champion was wrapped in the woman's tenderness and wagged his tail happily.

"You like the champion?"

Lin Minghe puffed out his chest and took the opportunity to state his ultimate goal.

"Actually, I'm going on a business trip soon, and I'm not comfortable leaving Champion at the pet store. Why don't you keep him for me? I'll pay you for the foster care."

"But I have to go to work..."

"Champion is very easy to take care of. He has a special puppy toilet. You just need to take him out for exercise occasionally."

"But......"

"Well...according to previous foster care standards, you should be given a thousand a day."

"Okay, when will it be delivered?"

Lin Minghe curled his lips in a wicked smile.

"It will be delivered tonight."

*

At night, Lin Minghe arrived as scheduled and brought a lot of things.

"Where is Overlord?" Xia Cheng asked.

Lin Minghe held the dog food and put it down with a whoosh.

"It ran away. It was originally a stray cat. I gave them to my mom after I went abroad. But it saw the door was not closed and ran away."

Xia Cheng felt a little sorry.

"Hopefully it still remembers the way home."

Lin Minghe's eyelids twitched, and he stared at her intently.

"If she wants to come back again, I welcome her anytime."
