Chapter 1628: A Shining Debut

"Master!" Yi Qiu and Xia Lan felt as if their hearts were being cut by a knife, and they frantically stuffed the healing medicine on their bodies into Chen Ziyu's mouth.

The blood finally stopped pouring out of Chen Ziyu's mouth, and his face was now as pale as a sheet. He stared ahead with lingering fear. What kind of restriction was that? It was so terrifying, leaving him completely powerless to resist. And why didn't Xia Lan trigger the restriction when she walked by, but it triggered when he walked by?

"Master, something is weird here. Why don't we retreat for now?" Yi Qiu advised cautiously with a worried look on his face.

"Yes, Master, and you're injured now, so you should heal first. We can plan to deal with those two later," Xia Lan advised cautiously. They were afraid that Master would go regardless, which would be disastrous. Their strength had never been high, and Master was seriously injured. If they really faced Mu Hanyan and the other two, they would most likely be the ones to suffer.

"Let's find a place to rest." Chen Ziyu gritted his teeth and looked at the lake unwillingly, thinking bitterly that he would settle the score with those two later. This time, he let them go.

Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji, who had already reached the center of the lake, exchanged glances, each catching a sneer in the other's eyes. That Sabi had actually caught up with them. He'd stepped on every little trap they'd set, and neither of them had missed. Their attitudes toward Chen Ziyu were surprisingly consistent.

Mu Hanyan's voice interrupted their thoughts.

"Look, there is a door in front." Mu Hanyan said after she stood firm.

Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji surveyed the lake's center. They were standing in a semicircular area without water. Looking up, they saw a nearly transparent barrier above them, and beyond it lay the emerald green waters of the lake. Removing the energy that enveloped them, they approached Mu Hanyan's side.

"There's a seal on this door. I've tried several times, but it hasn't worked." Mu Hanyan said as she stepped forward and gently stroked the carved patterns on the door before her. The patterns looked ancient and solemn, a style they had never seen before.

"The legend might be true." Ye Lanxuan stepped forward and placed his hand on the door. He sensed a faint, unusual aura. Though small and intermittent, it was certainly there. This place had once been home to powerful individuals.

"It's rare to see a phoenix living in the water." Fen Qianji naturally also felt the energy. He stepped forward and placed his hand on the master's door, feeling the seal on it.

"It can be solved." Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji said at the same time.

"Can it be untied?" Mu Hanyan asked with some surprise.

"Okay." Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji nodded at the same time, then signaled Mu Hanyan to step back.

These two people who disliked each other only agreed when it came to Mu Hanyan. As long as it was Mu Hanyan's wish, they would do their utmost to fulfill it.

Mu Hanyan stepped back and looked at the backs of the two people with a complicated look in her eyes.

Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji both began to perform hand gestures. The hand gestures were complicated and Mu Hanyan had never seen them before. The speed of the two was getting faster and faster, which dazzled Mu Hanyan.

A moment later, there was a sudden movement in the center of the stone gate, as if a stone had been thrown into the center of the lake, and ripples slowly appeared. The ripples grew larger and more frequent. Mu Hanyan looked at the scene in front of her nervously.

Slowly, the ripples stopped, and a transparent barrier appeared on the stone gate. Then, the barrier broke from the center, cracking from the center to the edge like a spider web. Finally, with a loud crash, the barrier completely shattered and disappeared.

"It's really opened." Mu Hanyan stood behind the two of them and murmured.

"Please come in, Senior Sister." Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji pushed open the stone door together, turned around and smiled at Mu Hanyan.

Mu Hanyan concealed the emotions in her eyes, smiled slightly, walked past the two people, and entered the stone gate.

After entering the stone door, there was a deep corridor. Mu Hanyan took out a palm-sized ball from her storage ring. The ball was made of some kind of luminous mineral and used for lighting. However, even with this ball, the area it illuminated was not very large.

"What kind of lighting was used here in the past?" Mu Hanyan asked casually in confusion.

"Maybe it's some kind of luminous mineral." Fen Qianji replied.

"No, look at the walls on both sides." Ye Lanxuan looked at the walls on both sides and said in a deep voice.

Mu Hanyan and Fen Qianji looked at the walls on both sides and saw that there was a candlestick every few steps on both sides of the wall, and there was a lamp on the candlestick.

"Mermaid oil..." Fen Qianji looked at the lamp and said in a deep voice.

"It's actually mermaid oil?" Mu Hanyan was a little surprised. "Then there are so many lamps, there should be a formula to light them up, right?"

"Light the lamp?" Ye Lanxuan tried to say.

It was pitch black ahead.

"Light it up?" Fen Qianji also tried it.

It was still pitch black ahead.

"Make a grand appearance." Mu Hanyan suddenly said this as if possessed by some strange impulse.

Then, puffing sounds were heard one after another, and the lights on both sides quickly lit up one after another, illuminating the entire aisle as if it were daytime.

Ye Lanxuan: “…”

Fen Qianji: “…”

Mu Hanyan's mouth twitched, and she felt a little weird.

"Senior Sister, how did you come up with this idea?" Ye Lanxuan was in a strange mood and couldn't help asking.

Fen Qianji also asked with his eyes.

Mu Hanyan paused, then said honestly, "I don't know either. I just feel like I should say this."

God-like intuition...

Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji didn't know what to say.

"Let's go." Mu Hanyan took the lead and walked forward.

"Wait!" Ye Lanxuan and Fen Qianji spoke at the same time, then they both stepped past Mu Hanyan and walked in front of her. Then they turned around and said in unison, "You go behind me."

Mu Hanyan was stunned for a moment, then smiled and nodded gently, "Thank you, my two junior brothers, for your concern." Although she felt a little warm in her heart, she was more puzzled. Why did these two junior brothers always show such care for her? If it was just the care of a fellow disciple, it was a bit too much. Suppressing her doubts, Mu Hanyan followed the two men. She was not stupid; she had long seen that these two men's cultivation was probably not inferior to hers.

Who were these two people, and what were their identities? Why did they choose to become disciples of Canglan Sect? What were their intentions? However, she didn't sense any ill will from them. Instead, they had always been protective of her, so Mu Hanyan kept the matter to herself for the time being.

The three of them walked down the long corridor. Strangely, they encountered no danger along the way and finally arrived at a small palace.

Mu Hanyan looked at the palace before her, her mouth slightly open in surprise. It was made entirely of crystal, from the pillars to the roof, even the tables and chairs. This magnificent palace was built at the heart of the lake. Whose palace was it? Was it the palace of the phoenix that once lived here?
