Chapter 110 "Don't be afraid of me, don't abandon me"

Chapter 110 "Don't be afraid of me, don't abandon me"

The next day, Shang Wu didn't receive a call from Lu Rang all day.

Zhou Yanci was able to get out of bed and walk around, and he kept saying he wanted to leave the villa. Xiao Dong and his men guarded him, using the same excuse that he needed to be in closed treatment to keep him at bay.

In the evening, Shang Wu arrived at Freya's design branch, ready to focus on designing new products for the next quarter.

The phone rang; it was Lu Rang calling.

A smile appeared in Shang Wu's eyes.

"land……"

Before she could finish speaking, she heard a burst of panicked screams from the crowd, as if it were some kind of extremely chaotic scene.

Shang Wu's heart tightened, and she covered the phone to listen intently: "Lu Rang, what's wrong? Where are you now?"

Qianjue's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Miss Shang, could you do me a favor at that liquor store I visited last time and bring over Lu Rang's first-aid kit? He's acting a bit strange lately!"

Shang Wu stood up, her composure failing her.

"Is he having an episode?"

Qianjue was taken aback, clearly not expecting that she knew about this, and then replied without hesitation, "Yes."

"I'm coming right away."

Shang Wu hung up the phone, grabbed her car keys, and hurried downstairs, worried the whole way.

She couldn't imagine what Lu Rang looked like when he was sick. The last time she saw him was when he was in the late stages of his illness and had already recovered.

Judging from the background noise in the call, the situation on the ground is probably very serious.

Half an hour later, Shang Wu arrived at the liquor store with a first-aid kit, and was stunned by what she saw before her car hadn't even come to a complete stop.

The first floor of the liquor store was completely surrounded by bodyguards in black, making it impossible to see anything, and screams and sounds of smashing could be heard constantly.

Passersby were stopped on the other side of the road, afraid to approach, and discussed the situation with fear in their eyes.

As Shang Wu got off the bus, he vaguely heard a few words coming from behind him.

"There's a madman... who attacks people."

"They smashed a lot of bottles of liquor..."

Shang Wu subconsciously quickened her pace and called out, "Make way! I'm here to deliver medicine."

The bodyguards in black then made way.

Shang Wu plunged in headfirst, then suddenly stopped.

The liquor store's luxurious decor was smashed to pieces, and the air was filled with a strange smell of whiskey and red wine mixed together.

The crystal chandelier was covered in splattered bright red wine, and half of the wine cabinet was smashed.

Qianjue and a dozen bodyguards surrounded Lu Rang, all of them more or less injured.

Lu Rang stood tall and straight, his hands clenched into fists, his eyes empty yet filled with a sharp killing intent. His black shirt was completely wrinkled, wet in some places and dry in others, stained with alcohol.

Shang Wu could tell that Lu Rang had completely lost his mind and was at a loss for what to do.

What medication should I take in this situation?

Qianjue pressed her hands down, gesturing for Lu Rang to calm down, "Stop smashing things! Making such a commotion will make it hard to suppress the news. Don't cause trouble for your dad, okay?"

The words "your dad" triggered Lu Rang's nerves.

He lowered his brow and attacked Qianjue.

A bodyguard beside him tried to help stop him, but Lu Rang kicked him away, sending him crashing into the wine cabinet and falling to the ground.

The glass of the wine cabinet shattered, and the glass smashed all over the bodyguard.

Lu Rang didn't even glance at him, as if he had casually crushed an ant, his eyes fixed on Qian Jue, his ultimate target.

"Shang Wu, what are you standing there for! Bring the medicine!"

Shang Wu suddenly realized what was happening, grabbed her first-aid kit and ran inside, nearly slipping on shards of glass on the floor.

At the same time, three bodyguards rushed towards Lu Rang, trying to subdue him.

Lu Rang grabbed a wine bottle from the table and smashed it at the bodyguard who was the first to rush at him!

The bodyguard screamed and retreated while clutching his head, while the two men on either side took the opportunity to grab Lu Rang's shoulders.

More people rushed over and pinned Lu Rang firmly to the table.

Lu Rang remained silent, pursing his lips as he struggled desperately, but to no avail.

Qianjue snatched the medicine box from Shangwu's hand and hurriedly pulled out a syringe.

He removed the dustproof protective cover, and the sharp needle reflected a cold light.

Qianjue pointed at Shangwu with the syringe in her hand: "Get me a sedative."

Shang Wu glanced at Lu Rang and hurriedly rummaged through the first-aid kit.

Lu Rang's face was pressed against the table, almost distorted. He stared intently at the syringe in Qian Jue's hand. Several times when Shang Wu was searching for it, his arm almost touched the needle tip.

His shoulders suddenly relaxed.

Even the bodyguards felt he was exhausted and stopped exerting force.

In the instant they lowered their guard, Lu Rang suddenly elbowed one of the men who was pressing down on him!

The man's cheekbone was hit, and he cried out in pain as he staggered back.

The bodyguards who were piled on top of Lu Rang also staggered and scattered.

Lu Rang broke free of control and approached Qian Jue at an incredible speed.

"Found it!"

Just as Shang Wu picked up a small medicine bottle, no more than half the length of a finger, a man's muscular arm suddenly appeared before her eyes.

She gasped for breath and saw Lu Rang pull Qian Jue over, grab her arm, and slam her against the wine cabinet!

Qianjue let go in pain, and the syringe fell to the ground.

He hurriedly used his other hand to block Lu Rang's punch, and then bent his knee to strike Lu Rang's abdomen.

As Lu Rang dodged, he also grabbed Qian Jue's shoulder tightly, pulled him to the table, and went to get the wine bottle on the table.

Shang Wu knew that Qian Jue was definitely the only one here who could fight Lu Rang. If he completely lost his fighting ability, no one could stop Lu Rang from giving him a sedative.

She acted decisively, snatching the bottle before Lu Rang could succeed and hiding it behind her back.

Lu Rang's eyes turned cold, enraged. He shoved Qian Jue aside and looked at the person behind him who had snatched his wine bottle.

Meeting his numb gaze, Shang Wu felt as if someone was choking her.

She gripped the bottle tightly, her palms sweating, and instinctively stepped back, saying, "You, you calm down, we didn't mean to hurt you..."

Before she could finish speaking, Lu Rang wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and threw a punch at her.

Qianjue was taken aback: "Get out of the way!"

The fierce punch was already upon them, and Shang Wu didn't even have a chance to dodge.

She was so frightened that she closed her eyes, her mind completely blank.

Suddenly, Shang Wu felt the hair on her forehead being swept up by the force of a punch.

Lu Rang's pupils contracted sharply, as if something was forcibly interfering with his actions.

The fist that was attacking her missed by two centimeters and smashed into the liquor cabinet behind her.

Boom—!!

The glass of the three-meter-high wine cabinet made a loud noise, and countless fragments shattered and fell.

Shang Wu opened her eyes blankly, and before she could see clearly what was in front of her, she was suddenly grabbed tightly by a hand.

Lu Rang grabbed Shang Wu almost violently, pulled her towards him, pressed her head hard with his other hand, and spun around, pulling Shang Wu into his arms as he did so.

Shang Wu practically crashed into his blood-soaked arms, her head slamming hard against Lu Rang's chin.

The sound of shattering pieces hitting the ground filled my ears.

Shang Wu could clearly feel Lu Rang's body suddenly tense up, like an impenetrable, hard shield, protecting her tightly in his arms.

The deafening cracking sound still seemed to echo in my ears.

In Shang Wu's world, all that remained was the buzzing in her ears and the rapid, forceful heartbeat of Lu Rang.

Everyone stared wide-eyed, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Qianjue stared intently at Shangwu.

No, it was the hand that was blocking the back of Shang Wu's head.

Lu Rang's hands were already covered in blood, which flowed down his arm. Even though he was seriously injured, he was still protecting Shang Wu with all his might.

This scene left everyone speechless with shock.

When Lu Rang has an episode, he can be manic or withdrawn. Sometimes he acts like a madman, and other times he can go ten days without saying a word.

During the twelve-year illness period, Qianjue never saw Lu Rang being disturbed by any external factors.

But now...

Qianjue took a breath.

Shang Wu slowly raised her head from Lu Rang's embrace. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the bloodstains flowing down her shoulder from above. She was startled and tried to struggle out of Lu Rang's arms.

"You're injured, let me see!"

Lu Rang held her still, his heart pounding wildly, his breathing rapid and heavy.

Until she heard Lu Rang slowly speak.

“A-Wu”.

Shang Wu froze, her heart gently touched by the hoarse voice.

She stopped struggling and hugged Lu Rang, asking, "Are you awake now?"

Lu Rang rested his chin on Shang Wu's head, closed his eyes, and said weakly, "I'm sorry."

Shang Wu felt a pang of sadness: "I don't need your apology, you didn't do it on purpose."

"I did it on purpose..."

Lu Rang exhausted all his strength and was about to kneel down with his hands.

Qianjue and several bodyguards quickly surrounded him to help him up, their eyes filled with a hint of shocked curiosity.

He actually regained consciousness?

Qianjue quickly instructed the people outside, "Go get the car and take them to Wanhu Hospital!"

Warm blood flowed down Lu Rang's hand. He seemed oblivious to the pain as he carefully and somewhat clumsily touched Shang Wu's cheek.

"Yes... I deliberately had an attack to show you. I'm sorry, I almost hurt you."

Every word he uttered was difficult, filled with intense tension.

"Don't be afraid of me..."

Shang Wu felt a pang of pain in her heart, and grasped his wrist, her palm covered in sticky blood.

She shook her head, her eyes red: "No, I'm not afraid of you."

Lu Rang's hands began to tremble violently, his body swayed, and he finally collapsed, unable to hold on any longer.

"Lu Rang!"

Shang Wu panicked and tried to grab him.

Several bodyguards supported Lu Rang's back.

Lu Rang stared at Shang Wu, his gaze fixed solely on her, a hint of obsession in his eyes: "Don't leave me..."

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned his head and slammed it heavily onto Shang Wu's shoulder.

With a heavy weight on his shoulders, Lu Rang's faint breaths swept across Shang Wu's neck.

She held Lu Rang tightly, blood smearing from the corner of her eye, and shouted in a trembling voice, "What are you standing there for! Carry him to the car!"

Qianjue jumped: "Is the car here yet! Where are the family doctor and psychologist? Tell them to be on standby!"

After saying that, he picked up Lu Rang and carried him outside.

Shang Wu's legs were weak. She followed him out, then turned back to bring the first-aid kit with her.
