"We just saw the child and you're already chasing us away!" Zhou's mother was unwilling and kept holding the child and teasing him.
Until the nurse came in, "Hello, Ms. Lin, I'm here to help you start breastfeeding. It will be time to feed the baby soon."
Lin Sui looked down at her chest in disbelief.
"Now? But I don't have any milk."
"So I'm here to help you. Come on, open your clothes."
Lin Sui looked up and saw Zhou Dang, Zhou's mother, and sister-in-law all staring at her blankly without any reservations.
"Can you go out?" Lin Sui covered his clothes.
"Oh, we are all women, what are we afraid of?" The sister-in-law sneered.
"You guys go out and put the child in the crib." Zhou Dang ordered them to leave.
"She's so precious? Like everyone else has given birth to a child." Mother Zhou didn't want to move. "I haven't hugged my grandson enough."
"It's a happy day, please don't make me angry." Zhou Dang had already begun to smile insincerely.
"Oh, Mom, let's go out first. Lin Sui is not feeling well here." The sister-in-law said the last sentence in a veiled tone, and then she and Zhou's mother went out.
After the milk was started, the nurse brought the baby over. Lin Sui took it tremblingly, not knowing how to hold it. The nurse taught him for a while before Lin Sui held the baby in his arms.
"So soft." Lin Sui sighed.
However, the child had just been born and probably had limited strength. He didn't get a single sip of milk. He was so anxious that he started crying. Seeing the child crying, Lin Sui also started crying, "What should I do?"
The nurse took the baby over and said, "It's okay. If you don't mind, we can make some milk powder for the baby."
Before he could finish his words, Zhou's mother rushed in from outside the room.
"That won't do! How can my grandson's first milk be powdered milk? I'll ask Aunt Wang to make some pig's trotter soup, and you'll have milk after you drink it."
Lin Sui was so annoyed that his head was buzzing.
"How long does it take to stew the soup? The child will be hungry all the time?" Lin Sui's tone became bad.
"Just let him drink your milk. He'll get it if he takes a few more sips. Don't be so pretentious." The sister-in-law also chimed in.
Zhou Dang was also extremely annoyed. "You two should go home immediately. Are you sick? You are giving me orders here. If you have nothing to do, go back and play mahjong. You don't need to worry about my wife's affairs!"
Mother Zhou was so angry at Zhou Dang that she rolled her eyes. "You ungrateful bastard, I've raised you for nothing. I think your soul has been seduced away by this poor fellow!"
Zhou Dang didn't bother to say more, and just took one of his hands and pushed both his mother and sister-in-law out of the ward.
The child was still crying and the nurse didn't know what to do.
"Make him some milk powder." Lin Sui said.
"OK."
Lin Sui lay powerlessly on the bed, feeling that everything was ridiculous.
However, the real pain had not yet come. At night, Lin Sui's stomach ached so much that she could not speak. The nurse said she was still having contractions and her stomach had to shrink slowly in order to return to its previous shape.
"I can't take it anymore, save me." Lin Sui was sweating profusely, with tears and snot running down his face.
"Can't you give her a painkiller?" Zhou Dang held Lin Sui's hand, his eyes filled with anxiety. "Giving birth to a child is such a pain."
"Okay, I'll give you another painkiller injection. Every mother has to go through this. You've worked hard." The nurse comforted Lin Sui.
After the painkiller injection, Lin Sui was about to go to sleep when the child started crying again. The nurse carried the child to Lin Sui's bedside and asked, "Can you feed him? Or should he drink some more formula?"
"Hold me here." Lin Sui already felt her breasts swollen.
Lin Sui fell asleep again, hugging the little soft person. In her dream, the nurse brought the child to her other side to feed.
Lin Sui no longer cared about her appearance. She was so tired that she fell asleep.
Lin Sui was woken up several times throughout the night. The newborn was very hungry, so she took the baby and fed him every time in a daze. Zhou Dang was on the bed next to her. At first, he stayed with her for a while, but the last time, he seemed to be unable to hear any sounds outside and fell asleep directly.
It was not until eight o'clock in the morning when the hospital came to deliver breakfast that Lin Sui finally woke up in a daze.
She wanted to go to the bathroom, and Zhou Dang came to support her. Walking was not as difficult as she had imagined. However, when she arrived at the bathroom and saw the haggard woman in the mirror, Lin Sui was still shocked.
"Why do I look so haggard?" Lin Sui murmured.
"No, you are just tired. Come, let me help you take off your pants." Zhou Dang said.
"No! Get out!" Lin Sui really couldn't bear to go to the toilet in front of Zhou Dang.
"Can you do it yourself?" Zhou Dang did not move.
"Get out quickly!" Lin Sui urged.
After going to the toilet, Lin Sui washed her face thoroughly. Fortunately, her aunt brought all her skin care products when she packed her luggage. She wiped her face and combed her hair, and she looked much better.
When she came out of the bathroom, Zhou Dang was waiting at the door. Seeing her tidy herself up, he smiled.
"Not really. I've seen everything you look like."
Lin Sui did not refute. If she had had a chance to refute before, now she knew that what Zhou Dang said was indeed correct.
They went to the crib together to check on the child. The child was sleeping soundly, with his little hands clenched into fists and placed next to his face. He looked so adorable.
"My dear wife, it seems that we both forgot one very important thing, which is to name our son." Zhou Dang sighed.
"It's true." Lin Sui also smiled.
In fact, Lin Sui had thought about a name when she first became pregnant, but at that time she was afraid that the child might have an accident, so she didn't dare to name it. Later, she even forgot about it.
"Think about it now, great mother." Zhou Dang teased her.
"Well, let's call him Paipai. Look at his movements, how stylish he is." Lin Sui smiled.
"Pai Pai... nice name, Paipai, I'm your father, call me daddy..." Zhou Dang teased the child.
"Wow..." Paipai opened his mouth and started crying.
"I told you to be a bitch, why are you making noise when people are sleeping?" Lin Sui quickly stepped forward and patted Paipai's butt. Zhou Dang scratched his nose embarrassedly.
Fortunately, after hearing his mother's voice, the little guy slowly calmed down and fell asleep again.
Lin Sui just looked at him, tears slowly flowing out.
"It's amazing! I'm going to be a mother." Lin Sui sighed softly.
"How does it feel to be a mother?" Zhou Dang asked in a low voice.
"That's great. I feel like I'm no longer alone. No matter how big the world is, it has nothing to do with me. I have my castle."
"You are so arrogant. The villa can't accommodate you anymore. You need a castle. Just wait for me to go back and buy a piece of land to build one for you." Zhou Dang teased.
Lin Sui was amused by Zhou Dang's tone. She looked up at Zhou Dang and actually found a fine line at the corner of his eyes. Then she suddenly remembered that Zhou Dang was ten years older than her.
"Congratulations, you have a child in your old age."
