In the hospital ward.
The machine beeped, and the doctors and nurses had already gone out.
Two men stood by the bed, both looking at Shang Wu's pale face.
Yan Yue sighed, feeling a wave of lingering fear.
He couldn't help but sigh, "Luckily, Miss Shang had the quick thinking to inform me, otherwise I really don't know what the consequences would have been."
Lu Rang lowered his eyes, a savage coldness filling them.
Where are they?
“The police have already been notified and he’s been arrested. Miss Shang’s idea is to send him to prison so he can go to jail. It just so happens that Zhou Yanci is dying soon, so it will allow them to reunite as master and servant,” Yan Yue replied.
Lu Rang's fingertips curled up: "It's not just him."
"What do you mean?" Yan Yue asked, puzzled.
Lu Rang glanced at him coolly: "The Zhou family is the mastermind behind this. Keeping them out here will only cause trouble. Send them all to prison, as well as the person who hurt her, and prosecute them for attempted murder."
Yan Yue listened in a daze, already assessing the difficulty of handling these matters in his mind.
Before he could speak, Lu Rang withdrew his gaze and said coldly, "Forget it, I'll handle this case myself."
Yan Yue shrugged: "You're not even at Dingfeng anymore, how can an unlicensed lawyer handle cases?"
"I'll be back, it's just a matter of a word," Lu Rang asked softly.
Yan Yue immediately came to his senses.
The Yu family can do things that others can't.
He made a zipping motion on his mouth, then turned and left.
After he left, Lu Rang slowly sat down on the edge of the bed, took Shang Wu's cold hand, and held it in his palm, his eyes flickering with emotions.
Just then, there was a commotion outside.
Yan Yue hurriedly turned back, breathing rapidly: "I just saw the merchants coming. You'd better leave quickly, or they'll find out."
Lu Rang pursed his lips and remained motionless.
Yan Yue hurriedly stepped forward and pulled him, "Come on! Besides, didn't you want to avenge Miss Shang? Let's take care of this matter first!"
Upon hearing this, Lu Rang finally reacted.
He stood up, gave Shang Wu a deep look, and left.
The moment they entered the stairwell, Ruan Yuzhi and Shang Yunshen also stepped out of the elevator.
They passed each other by perfectly.
Ruan Yuzhi's eyes were red with anxiety, and she couldn't believe it: "How could such a thing happen? How could someone stab someone in my own studio!"
"Don't worry, Mother, don't worry." Shang Yunshen tried his best to comfort her. "Awu will get better. Didn't her attending physician call just now and say that it's just a superficial injury, and there's no danger to her life? She probably fainted because she was too frightened. It's alright!"
Ruan Yuzhi ignored him, tears streaming down her face, and pushed open the ward door to go inside.
Meanwhile, downstairs.
Lu Rang got into the car, his face so cold that even the surrounding temperature seemed to drop a few degrees.
Yan Yue felt immense pressure sitting next to him, and couldn't help but shrink back before stepping on the gas and driving him away.
"Are we going to Aoki Prison now, or...?"
“Prison.” Lu Rang interrupted him, looking straight ahead.
Yan Yue understood his condition.
It is close to the onset of the disease.
He was clearly angry and unwilling to let it go; he was even on the verge of losing his temper.
He couldn't imagine what Lu Rang would do next.
But he also understood that Lu Rang was now determined to do things his own way, and no one could stop him.
Unless someone is looking for death.
Half an hour later, the car stopped at the prison gate.
Lu had already made a phone call on the way to inform the prison to be prepared.
When he arrived at the prison hospital, he heard desperate cries coming from the ward.
"My child, why did you provoke and scheme against the merchants for no reason? Now look what's happened! How am I supposed to live with this?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Rang pushed open the door and went in, glancing expressionlessly at the situation inside the ward.
Zhou Yanci lay on the hospital bed wearing a hospital gown, her hands and feet wrapped in thick gauze. Her face was purple and her lips were tinged with black. She looked like she had reached her limit.
Zhou's mother was crying by the bedside when she saw Lu Rang and was so frightened that she suddenly stood up.
Her eyes instantly turned venomous, and she raised her hand to point at Lu Rang.
"It's you, isn't it? You're the lawyer who's been working for Shang Wu all along!"
Lu Rang walked over without saying a word, reached out and grabbed Zhou Yanci's neck, his fingers tightening.
Zhou Yanci's eyes widened in disbelief at his actions, and she struggled with a pained expression, her brows furrowed.
Zhou's mother also rushed forward.
Yan Yue immediately stopped Zhou's mother and scolded, "Don't move!"
"What are you trying to do? Let go of my son! He's almost dead. Are you going to strangle him to death? You'll go to jail too!"
Zhou's mother was so frightened that her liver and gallbladder trembled violently, and she wished she could rush up and fight Lu Rang to the death.
However, Yan Yue held her down firmly, and she couldn't move, so she could only watch helplessly.
Lu Rang ignored her words and didn't even lift his eyelids.
He stared at Zhou Yanci with emotionless eyes.
Zhou Yanci was suffocating, and didn't even have the strength to break free from him.
He watched in horror as Lu Rang's eyes filled with murderous intent and ruthlessness, and began kicking his legs wildly in fear.
Seeing that he was really about to be strangled to death, Yan Yue immediately reminded Lu Rang: "Take it easy, he's about to die, there's no need to actually kill him!"
Lu Rang suddenly let go, and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes as he looked at Zhou Yanci, who was barely clinging to life under his control.
"You deserve to die. Do you know what the consequences will be for hurting Shang Wu?"
His tone was calm, as if he wasn't angry about the matter, yet it carried a deadly sense of oppression.
Zhou Yanci covered her neck and couldn't say a word.
