Song Yunzheng glanced at his watch. "I don't need to go back to work this afternoon. Is there anywhere you'd like to go? I'll go with you."
Lin Yue suddenly turned to look at him, "Really?"
"Hmm, would I lie to a little kid?"
"The amusement park! How about it?" Lin Yue opened her big eyes, her clear, bright black pupils reflecting his image.
An amusement park? He couldn't remember the last time he went. It must have been back in college, when he went with Meng Wanning.

The playground was unusually crowded on Saturday, mostly with parents and children. Someone with Song Yunzheng's obsessive-compulsive disorder must really dislike crowded places, right? Besides, he's a doctor; his eyes are like they have a built-in microscope, always able to spot all sorts of bacteria and viruses, telling him what he can't touch, what he can't budge, whether he's washed his hands…
Lin Yue glanced at him worriedly, only to see him calmly looking at the bustling crowd. "If you don't want to go in, it's not too late to change your mind now."
"Why regret it?" Song Yunzheng took her hand and walked inside. "I'll take you on a roller coaster."
He pointed to the sky, "Look~"
Lin Yue looked in the direction he was pointing and saw the roller coaster slowly climbing the slope, preparing to reach the highest point, and then plummeting vertically in a second. Here it comes, the highest point! A second later, screams rang out. As the roller coaster went up and down and made various large turns, screams rose and fell. It was so exciting!
She immediately became excited, grabbed Song Yunzheng's arm, and ran inside, shouting, "Hurry, hurry, I want to play this!"
Once seated, Lin Yue sat there silently, as if she had turned off the microphone, looking around. The feeling of standing below was completely different from actually sitting on it! She didn't want to admit it, but she was terrified.
In contrast, Song Yunzheng sat calmly. He had been to the amusement park once when he was twenty, but had never been back since.
Are you scared?
"No."
"Aren't you afraid?"
"I'm not afraid!" The old man was just being long-winded, deliberately keeping asking like that!
As the roller coaster slowly moved forward, Lin Yue's heart gradually quickened. Tension, anticipation, and fear simultaneously occupied her mind. She tightly closed her eyes. When the roller coaster plummeted and then rose again, she thought she would scream, but she didn't. The entire ride was in silent mode.
But after one round, she felt like she had unlocked her full potential and became excited. "Wow, that was so exciting! I want to do it again!"
Song Yunzheng was completely dumbfounded. He hadn't fared much better than her in the previous round; he had even broken out in a sweat. After all, his age was a factor, and he couldn't compare to a twenty-year-old girl. "How about we try something else? There are so many activities; don't just pick one to do."
"Dr. Song, are you scared?"
"No, why would I be afraid? I just want you to experience more activities." He wasn't joking, of course he couldn't back down in front of the little girl.
Looking at his pale face and his desperate attempt to appear fearless, Lin Yue couldn't help but want to laugh. But then she decided to let it go, considering his age.
"Okay, let's go ride the bumper cars!" She stepped forward, took his hand, and walked in that direction.
There were so many people playing bumper cars, young and old alike. Song Yunzheng, who was 1.85 meters tall and wearing a suit, felt a bit awkward among the children around him. So he volunteered to take pictures of her! He captured her in all sorts of poses: laughing, excited, pouting, and defiant.
After having a great time, Lin Yue skipped out of the room. "It's getting late, let's go home."
"Okay, let's go home."
"Wait, how about we eat out for dinner?"
"Okay, what would you like to eat?"
After thinking for a few seconds, Lin Yue blurted out, "Mala Tang!"
"No way!" Song Yunzheng refused without even thinking.
"Why? I haven't eaten it in ages, and I really want to eat it now!"
"That stuff is unhygienic and bad for your health. Eat something else."
"No, I want to eat this!" Once Lin Yue gets stubborn, nothing can change her mind.
"No way!" Song Yunzheng remained unmoved and refused outright.
If hard methods don't work, I'll have to try softer ones. "Please, honey~ I really want to eat it, just once, okay?" She looked at him pitifully with her big, watery eyes.
The way she called him "husband" so readily, coupled with her soft voice and adorable expression, instantly melted Song Yunzheng's heart. "Okay, just this once, don't let it happen again."
"Yay! Honey, you're so good to me~"
Hearing those repeated calls of "husband" made Song Yunzheng's heart leap with joy.
Song Yunzheng drove Lin Yue to the night market. She chose the place, saying it was a place she used to frequent, where the food was delicious, clean, and hygienic.
Clean? Hygienic? Why doesn't he believe it?
It's a small shop with tables and chairs that look quite old. Looking around, I noticed that almost all the customers are young couples eating there. Perhaps it's too spicy, because they all have flushed faces and some are even fanning themselves with their mouths wide open.
Song Yunzheng frowned, thinking, "Is this kind of spicy and stimulating food really that delicious? It's already so spicy, and you still want to put it in your mouth."
Looking up at Lin Yue again, he saw her excitedly picking out her favorite dishes, occasionally turning back to wave at him, looking incredibly cute.
After the piping hot mala tang was served, Song Yunzheng sat upright like a pine tree, not eating a single bite, only drinking plain water.
