Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Third person perspective.

Dongshu groped her way out of bed, feeling groggy and sticky from a fever. Her head was spinning, and she felt like she was dreaming, with everything in front of her eyes a blur.

"ah...."

She used her feet to find the slippers by the bed and put them on, then shook her head vigorously to clear her mind.

I grabbed a coat, put it on, went out, and went down the stairs.

Despite feeling extremely uncomfortable, I still managed to stay rational.

Using her spiritual power to sense the locations of everyone in the citadel, and turning on the terminal's lighting function, Fuyuki walked towards the nearest tsukumogami's dwelling. She didn't have the strength to walk to Yagen's place.

Dongshu would pat his head from time to time to keep himself alert and watch his step so he wouldn't fall.

This high fever feels really strange, like all the water in my body is being evaporated, and every bone in my body aches terribly.

Dongshu gritted her teeth, trying her best to avoid falling. She didn't know if it was because she was too tired, but she felt herself walking slower and slower, and her body temperature was getting hotter and hotter.

Dongshu pounded on the door, and the person inside was awakened by the first knock. The familiar spiritual energy outside the door startled him, but upon hearing the knocking, he quickly ran over to open the door for her.

When I opened the door, I saw Dongshu standing there. Her face was flushed, her forehead and nose were covered in sweat, her eyes were filled with distress, and she was clutching her clothes tightly.

"Master? You....."

"Kiyomitsu, I feel so bad." Fuyuki hugged Kiyomitsu tightly, rested her head on his body, and tried to wrap her arms around his waist, burying her head in her hands because she didn't want to lift it up.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu was startled by the temperature emanating from her body.

"Didn't your fever break this afternoon? How did it get like this again overnight?" Kashuu Kiyomitsu asked anxiously as he gently carried Fuyuki into the house and placed her on the bed.

"Master, I'm going to find Yagen. Please wait here for a moment."

After saying this, Kashuu Kiyomitsu rushed out the door. Yamato no Kami Yasusada, who lived next door, was also awakened by the noise. He opened the door and saw Kashuu Kiyomitsu looking anxious.

He asked, "Kiyomitsu, what happened?"

"Master has a fever again. Please take care of him, Ansei. I'm going to find Yagen." Kashuu Kiyomitsu said this and left quickly.

An Ding was taken aback and hurriedly went into Kashuu Kiyomitsu's room. Fuyuki looked very weak, a far cry from how she had improved yesterday at noon.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu hurriedly ran to Yagen Toushirou's room, paused for a few seconds at the door, took a deep breath, and knocked.

Soon, Yagen Toushirou's muffled and confused voice came from inside the room.

"who?

Kashuu Kiyomitsu heard Yagen's voice reply, "Yagen, Master has a fever again."

"I'm coming right now!" As soon as he finished speaking, the room brightened and light shone through. Then, the door creaked open, and Yagen Toushirou, dressed in a white robe, squeezed out from the crack in the door, carrying a medicine chest, and said, "Kiyomitsu-dono, let's go quickly."

Kashuu Kiyomitsu nodded and quickly followed Yagen Toushirou.

Dongshu sat on the bed, staring at the cup in her hand with hazy eyes.

When Kashuu Kiyomitsu went to see Yagen Toushirou, Yamato no Kami Yasusada boiled some water, diluted it to make lukewarm water, and poured her a cup.

Yagen pushed open the door and walked in. Seeing Fuyuki on the bed, he immediately went over and sat down next to her.

"General, I've arrived."

I took their temperature.

"General... why is he running a fever again? This time the temperature is even higher than last time." Yagen Toushirou frowned as he handed Fuyuki the fever-reducing medicine he had prepared.

He had a gut feeling that something was happening to the Saniwa that they didn't know about, and that it might not be just a simple case of recurring fevers.

Has anything strange happened lately?

"I don't know what happened..." Fuyuki smiled weakly, then frowned as if remembering something. "I think I had a dream these past two days, I don't know if it's related."

The scenes from the dream are very blurry in her memory now, but she knows they can't be good.

"Dream?"

"Um."

"General, do you remember what happened in your dream?" Yagen Toushirou asked.

Winter Tree shook its head.

"I...I don't remember." Fuyuki felt a little frustrated, and her head was getting increasingly dizzy.

What's wrong with you?

Yagen Toushirou noticed that Fuyuki seemed a bit off. "If you don't remember what happened in the dream, then forget it."

He looked into Dongshu's eyes and said, "General, take your medicine and rest first."

"Um."

Fuyuki obediently took her medicine. Yagen Shiro noticed that something was wrong with her, so he just gave her a few instructions, took the cup from her hand, put it down, and left without saying anything more.

Seeing that Fuyuki was about to sleep, Kashuu Kiyomitsu quietly walked over.

Her body was slightly warm, her forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat, and her cheeks were flushed. Kashuu Kiyomitsu reached out and touched her forehead.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu picked up Fuyuki and walked towards the Saniwa's room.

Yamato no Kami Yasusada walked with him, his blue eyes fixed on Fuyuki, who was sleeping restlessly in Kashuu Kiyomitsu's arms.

...Master, you are so fragile.

The room's window was open, and a gentle breeze caused the curtains to flutter and the winter trees' branches to sway.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu glanced down at her; her eyes were closed, her eyelashes were long and thick, her skin was delicate, and her long eyelashes covered her eyelids.

He carried Dongshu into the room, placed her on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and looked at her sleeping face with a worried expression.

Her eyelashes were beautiful, like butterfly wings, fluttering gently as if they might take flight at any moment. They were beautiful yet fragile. Her owner, a young girl, still had a blush on her cheeks and her eyes closed, but her eyelashes trembled.

"Kiyomitsu, let's go out first."

"good."

Kashuu Kiyomitsu glanced at Fuyuki, who was sleeping soundly, and then looked out the window.

The sky was still dark. There was more than one person with three blades. The citadel area had already been awakened from its slumber.

The Saniwa's suffering, out of control, affected the environment of the citadel.

Daylight broke, and a light drizzle began to fall.

The sound of rain tapping on the window woke the winter tree from its slumber.

She slowly supported herself with her arms and struggled to sit up.

She had been feeling dizzy before, but now she felt much better. She took a deep breath and felt that her fever had subsided.

Since that night when she had a fever, Fuyuki had intermittent fevers over the next few days. Eventually, the temperature was no longer as alarming as it had been at the beginning, as if her body had become accustomed to the situation.

The people of the citadel were not at peace as a result, especially Yagen Toushirou, who served as the doctor and almost stayed by Fuyuki's side.

But no matter how they investigated, even after going to the political department to consult more professional personnel, they couldn't find anything unusual.

Fortunately, the Time Retrograde Army has not made many unusual moves recently, and the 197th Honmaru has not been deployed in battles frequently, which saves the Tsukumogami from worrying about the situation of their Saniwa while going into battle.

Raindrops dripped incessantly onto the leaves outside the window, making a crisp sound, as if announcing a new beginning. Dongshu sat on the bed, looking at the dripping rain through the window, and her somewhat depressed mood of the past few days began to lift.

Dongshu sat quietly on the bed. She felt the rain outside the window getting lighter and lighter. She stretched gently, then looked up and her gaze fell on the window.

The trees outside the window looked even fresher after being washed by the rain, with glistening water droplets still hanging on their green leaves, and the winter tree's thoughts became clearer.

Fuyuki suddenly opened her eyes wide and stared at the trees outside the window. Even in the darkness, she could clearly make out the branches and the flowers...

Something suddenly flashed through her mind, and her fingers gripped the blanket tightly.

No! This isn't the Honmaru!
