Chapter 7 Your Uncle is So Kind.

Chapter 7 Your Uncle is So Kind.

Jing Ge arrived at the school first.

The teacher's attitude was calm: "I emphasized it again and again, saying that it is not allowed to sign on behalf of someone else, it must be done by a guardian."

"..." Jing Ge was not very confident. "Teacher, I'm already working."

Not a child.

It would be fine to sign my name for Li Ying, wouldn't it?

The teacher smiled: "Fifth grade is crucial. There are many difficult knowledge points. If you don't keep up at this stage, you will fall behind in everything later. Therefore, it is necessary for her guardian... preferably her parents, to understand the situation clearly."

At this point, the teacher shook his head and sighed, "Professor Li and Professor Man have students all over the world, but they themselves have suffered bitter consequences."

Li Ying looked dejected.

What are you doing?

People aren't allowed to have bad grades.

Surrounded by a group of incredibly high-achieving students, she's under a lot of pressure!

As soon as Li Mushi arrived, Jing Ge quickly stood with Li Ying.

The two of them were like students who had made a mistake, waiting for their parents' approval after the teacher's criticism.

Li Mushi sat opposite the teacher, holding a thick stack of all of Li Ying's exam papers from this semester, flipping through them one by one.

"The grades are very stable," the teacher said, "consistently remaining within 20 points."

Jing Ge turned his head away, glaring at Li Ying. "You little brat, you dare to lie to me? You even said this exam was especially difficult!!"

Is the difference between "extremely difficult" and "not difficult" simply between 8 points and 20 points?

Li Ying's shoulders slumped, looking frail and weak.

Three of the exam papers bear Jing Ge's signature.

Finally, Li Mushi stared at the test paper with an 8-point score, seemingly lost in thought. He looked at the paper and then at Li Ying.

Despite his expression being completely blank and his calm demeanor unchanged, Li Ying couldn't help but shrink back and burrow into Jing Ge's side.

Li Mushi's eyelashes fluttered a few times as he looked back at the 8-point mark.

Then he reached out and patted Li Ying's head.

It's like the feeling of a highly intelligent human touching a winter melon.

Some confusion, and some pity.

Li Ying immediately exploded: "Sister! Look at Uncle! That's the look in his eyes! That look he gives a dog!!"

For some inexplicable reason, Jing Ge couldn't help but burst out laughing.

The office was quiet, making the laughter seem out of place.

Jingge quickly swallowed it back.

"We still have a chance," the teacher coughed lightly. "After all, we're only in fifth grade. It's still easy to catch up now. If we wait until middle school, the gap will be much larger..."

Li Mushi nodded: "I will tell her parents."

As they left the school, the sky was dim and hazy. Li Mushi walked in front, while Li Ying followed closely behind, clinging to Jing Ge.

Finding it extremely difficult to understand, Li Mushi slightly turned his head, glanced at them out of the corner of his eye, and asked, "Do you know that 1+1=2?"

Li Ying glanced at him and said, "Hmm."

Li Mushi: "The questions on your test paper are based on the same principle as 1+1=2."

"..." Li Ying stared in disbelief. "How can this be the same! Putting chickens and rabbits in the same cage and asking how many chickens and rabbits there are... who would be so bored as to put them together? And if they did, they didn't even count properly, making me count for them..."

Jingge silently covered her mouth.

Li Ying let out a few sobs.

Jingge covered it tightly.

Li Mushi stood under the streetlight, tall and slender, with an incredibly handsome face.

"Can you understand what her problem is?"

This is a question for Jing Ge.

Jing Ge nodded.

Li Mushi: "I remember you skipped two grades."

He was also a top student.

Jing Ge said sheepishly, "That's because I work especially hard."

There is a difference between an average high-achieving student and a genius student. A genius student cannot understand the troubles of ordinary people, but an average high-achieving student can.

Li Ying just doesn't have a strong logical thinking ability, and it's possible she's just not quite there yet.

Li Mushi: "Being able to work hard is part of intelligence."

"......"

Having seemingly figured out the crux of the matter, Li Mushi took out his phone, seemingly intending to make a call.

However, before the number could be dialed, Jing Ge and Li Ying rushed over, shouting, "No!"

Li Mushi's hand froze in mid-air.

Two girls, the older one grabbing his wrist where he was holding his phone, and the younger one clinging to his leg, both looking at him with pleading eyes.

"Uncle," Jing Ge said hurriedly, "I've arranged a study plan for her, let's try it for a while."

Li Ying: "Please, Uncle, please don't tell my parents. They'll just dump me on my brother. What's the difference between that and throwing a chicken to a hungry weasel!"

Both of them said at the same time, "Uncle, please!"

Li Mushi lowered his eyes and looked at the girl's slender and soft hand on his wrist.

It was warm and soft when it covered me.

"There's no point in filing a complaint," he said calmly.

Jing Ge was slow to react: "Wasn't it a call for Uncle Li and Aunt Man?"

Li Mushi succinctly replied: "Hospital."

"......"

“Let’s test her IQ,” Li Mushi said. “If it’s an IQ problem, then let her be a happy and free little fool from now on.”

There's no need to force it.

Li Ying's cheeks were full of anger.

Jingge belatedly realized, "Ah, oh, oh, her Chinese is pretty good. She can memorize almost anything except classical poems and prose very quickly..."

A whole bunch of stuff.

Li Mushi lowered his gaze slightly, his tone ambiguous: "Let go."

The two girls suddenly let go of each other's hands.

In the dead of winter, as soon as that bit of warmth left, the wrist bone was quickly covered with a layer of ice.

Li Mushi acted as if nothing had happened, putting his hands into his trouser pockets: "Let's go home."

The driver wasn't there; Li Mushi drove the car himself.

Jing Ge and Li Ying sat in the back row. The little girl was talkative, but she restrained herself in front of her uncle and kept quiet for five minutes.

As the car drove along the street, Li Mushi saw something and pulled over to the side of the road, asking indifferently, "Want some chestnuts?"

Li Ying: "Eat, eat, eat!!!"

Li Mushi got out of the car and said, "Wait here."

Looking at the man's tall and dazzling back, Jing Ge said enviously, "Your uncle is so nice; he even buys you roasted chestnuts."

“…” Li Ying muttered, “He wasn’t always this nice. He came to pick me up a few times before, and I almost suffocated. And another time, I wanted to eat honey cakes, and he stepped on the gas and drove home, then told me that roadside stalls were unhygienic.”

If it's about picking her up or dropping her off, Li Ying would rather choose Li Zhan.

At least we can argue all the way, instead of suffocating from silence.

Li Mushi bought two bags of chestnuts, one for each of them.

The chestnuts were fresh out of the pot, packed in a brown paper bag, warm and sweet to the touch.

Jing Ge: "Uncle, do you want some?"

Li Ying: "My uncle doesn't eat snacks."

Jing Ge: "I know, it's basic courtesy to ask since my uncle is treating us."

"Sister," Li Ying couldn't help but ask, "Do you know Song Xiaoyu from our class...?"

The two of them started chatting like that.

Before Li Mushi could even reply.

The man glanced at the rearview mirror almost imperceptibly.

It was very short.

Like a dragonfly skimming the water.

"Sister," Li Ying asked again, "were you late for the bus this morning?"

Jing Ge: "No."

Li Ying: "Tomorrow I'll take the bus and have the driver take you. We'll take turns."

Jing Ge: "Eat up, shut me up."

Li Ying: "We'll eat when we get home. My uncle doesn't allow us to eat in the car."

Jingge muttered, "Luckily, I didn't eat any either."

Li Ying: "Sister, do you know that Uncle is a fussy person?"

Jing Ge: "I guessed, it feels about right."

Li Mushi: "."

Have they forgotten that the person in question is right here?
