Chapter 53 Kim Shi-ok Dares Not (Part 2) The Male Mother's Nature Is Hard to Change...
Not entering the palace, but living in the Jin family?
Wow, that's fantastic news!
Jin Guizhong has yet to pass on the blueprints for the super sulfur combustion engine to his two children. Jin Suiqing is simple-minded and unwilling to learn, while Jin Shiyu harbors hatred and temporarily sides with Huangfu. Even if she learns the blueprints, she disdains to use them. She is not worried that these two can control the fate of the Nine Provinces.
Now that the real princess has returned, she is still an ambitious wolf cub, carrying the blood of the Jin family and the old followers of Princess Qingyang. She is capable of rebellion, and if she is not kept in the palace, she will probably be uncontrollable.
But Huangfu Feng had spoken her mind, and there was no reason to keep her in Ziwei City. Huangfu Ying put away her cold expression, stroked her forehead, and said with feigned kindness, "I will do as you say. In a few days, Afeng will be a real princess."
Huangfu Feng, polite and courteous, nodded his thanks to Huangfu Ying. When he looked up, he glanced at Huangfu Li beside him and saw that he was clearly so angry that he was gritting his teeth, but he was still forcing a smile and said with a curl of his lips, "Crown Prince...brother, please take care of me in the future."
“Of course,” Huangfu Li took a deep breath and smiled, “My sister has been wandering for many years and has suffered. I will make up for everything you have lacked.”
Jin Suiqing watched that bizarre family, seemingly harmonious but actually estranged, clearly wanting to tear each other to pieces, yet pretending to be happy and joyful as a family. It was like watching a famous American variety show that had topped the ratings for over ten seasons, a live online broadcast of "Accompanying xxx".
She nearly lost her composure, quickly swallowing hard, when the system in her mind suddenly announced: "Mission complete."
Jin Suiqing was surprised. It was actually completed just like that?
Not only did she escape unharmed, Huangfu Feng also overtook her by a shortcut, directly abducting the Empress. He made no mention of her being assassinated and injured, and smoothly transitioned to the reunion, leaving her, the female supporting character who should have had a villainous moment, completely ignored.
ah?
And what about her?
After the initial shock, Jin Suiqing pondered the matter and became even more suspicious. As a fellow transmigrator, Huangfu Feng was kind and had rewarded her by sparing her the pain of a knife wound; Jin Suiqing was grateful.
Is it a case of sacrificing important plot points that would benefit the female lead to help her, which would be a loss for Huangfu Feng?
"Every man for himself, or the world will destroy him." Jin Suiqing didn't believe in altruism; there must be a reason for everything that seemed amiss. But with so few clues, she couldn't piece together the story, and couldn't find a logical explanation. Out of sheer curiosity, Jin Suiqing secretly observed Huangfu Feng, hoping to glean something from his indifferent face.
On the other side, Jin Guizhong was about to lose control of Jin Shiyu.
Huangfu Feng has refused to enter the palace and is expected to stay at the mansion. The Jin family is already hanging on a tightrope by their daughter who has returned. If they cannot control Jin Shiyu now and allow him to offend the emperor, their future will be even more difficult. Jin Guizhong hurriedly said, "Your Majesty, I have something to ask you."
Huangfu Ying, having grown tired of pretending to be an aunt, said lazily, "Speak."
Jin Guizhong hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What should we do with Jin Suiqing?"
Jin Suiqing looked at her scumbag father with tears in her eyes, filled with gratitude.
Finally, someone remembered her!
Huangfu Ying glanced at Jin Suiqing and said casually, "Although I gave her this name, she is still surnamed Jin and has lived in the Jin family for sixteen years. How you deal with her is up to you."
With a single sentence, Huangfu Ying casually tossed Jin Suiqing back.
Upon hearing the Empress's words, Jin Guizhong finally released his grip on Jin Shiyu's thigh. Feeling extremely tired and sore, he quietly twisted his wrist in a comforting gesture and whispered to Jin Shiyu, "What do you think?"
Hearing that Jin Suiqing was unharmed, Jin Shiyu's resentment had barely subsided when, after his ordeal in purgatory, he returned to the mortal realm. His chest heaved, unable to calm down for a long time. Jin Guizhong heard his labored breathing, more unpleasant than a broken bellows, and felt worried. He turned to look at Jin Shiyu, wanting to speak with concern, but Jin Shiyu's lips moved first, "Hide it."
Jin Guizhong didn't hear him. "What did you say?"
"It's nothing." Jin Shiyu's eyes remained fixed on Jin Suiqing as she weakly smiled, "How about we find a comfortable property and send her there?"
Jin Guizhong convulsed: "Why send him there?"
Kim Shi-ok's mind was filled with "hide, hide, hide..." Countless "hide" overlapped, sprouted wings, and flew around his rotting head like annoying flies.
Jin Shiyu felt like he was a living dead man, having died and come back to life to hide Jin Suiqing. This rotten capital, this utterly corrupt Jin family—he wanted to take Jin Suiqing far away from here, and no one could harm her.
Jin Shiyu pondered for a moment, then suppressed his smile and said seriously, "Since she is no longer a princess and has no connection with this place, she should live her life well."
Jin Guizhong looked at his son, whose face was calm but whose eyes were filled with madness, and knew something was wrong.
If it's a young person full of vigor and vitality, it's fine. If they can't control their temper and let out all their love, hate, and grudges, they'll just be laughed at and won't cause any trouble.
The problem is that Jin Shiyu is a young man, but he is not a passionate person. Shiyu was very good at being patient when he was young, and now he is even more cunning and unpredictable.
As men, Jin Guizhong knew that men's dirty thoughts were mostly the same. When they were extremely repressed, they liked to use underhanded means. Was it she or he who had thought about living a good life?
Seeing that Suiqing doesn't seem to have this intention now, if she falls into Jin Shiyu's hands, it would be fine to keep her locked up for a day or two, but if things get complicated and she's locked up for a lifetime, then there would really be no way to turn things around.
“Suiqing has lived in the manor for many years, so she should stay here,” Jin Guizhong retorted, beckoning Jin Suiqing over to look her in the eye and saying softly, “Suiqing has been my daughter for sixteen years. I can’t bear to let her leave. It’s better for her to stay in the Jin manor, where she can continue to eat, dress, and live as usual, all under the care of the Jin family.”
Jin Guizhong thought that keeping Suiqing under his watchful eye for the time being would not only ensure Suiqing's safety but also keep Jin Shiyu in check, allowing the two to develop their relationship. If Suiqing were interested in the future, he could arrange their marriage.
If she didn't want to, he would find a way to send her away from the capital, far away from Kim Shi-ok.
Afraid that Jin Shiyu would speak, Jin Guizhong hurriedly asked Jin Suiqing, "Suiqing, what do you think?"
Jin Suiqing's eyes lit up. "Great! Absolutely fantastic!" She had two more major story missions to complete and was currently worried about how to legitimately stay in the Jin family.
Jin Guizhong declared that since she could stay in the Jin family without suffering, why not? Now that she had no connection with the Jin family, she could leave whenever she wanted, and no one could stop her. "A fool wouldn't pass up a good opportunity," Jin Suiqing nodded gratefully, tears welling in her eyes.
Jin Shiyu's mind went blank. The thought of hiding Jin Suiqing almost burst out of his body. He frowned and was about to refute her when Jin Suiqing blinked her big eyes at him and pitifully said, "Young Master Jin will not be my brother anymore, but... but I can't bear to part with him. Can I call you Brother Shiyu?"
With a deafening roar, Jin Shiyu's mind seemed to split open, creating an abyss that caused his mouth to slip out of his control, and he uttered, "Okay."
Jin Suiqing said timidly, "From now on, Brother Yu can just call me Suiqing."
"Okay." Jin Shiyu pursed his lips, thinking it was better to hide her away, but his mouth was a step faster than his brain, "Suiqing."
Jin Suiqing replied with a smile, "Brother Shiyu."
The sweet, crisp cry of "Brother Shiyu" instantly extinguished all the pent-up madness that had been churning within Jin Shiyu. He felt empty, numb, and stared blankly at Jin Suiqing.
Jin Suiqing still called him Brother Shiyu, but the change in their surnames was a complete overhaul.
Though he didn't show it, Jin Shiyu felt a mix of emotions; he felt uneasy, yet also relaxed.
She felt uneasy because he was no longer her brother; the woman before her was someone he had no connection with. She felt relaxed because they were no longer related by blood, and the chain that had been binding him was gone.
Kim Shi-ok never paid any attention to worldly constraints. If anything, he felt more uncomfortable than anything else.
Because he has no connection with Jin Suiqing anymore.
Jin Shiyu regained his cold demeanor, lowering his eyes and not daring to look at Jin Suiqing. He was afraid that if he looked at her again, he would lose his temper and lock her up.
Jin Shiyu dared not.
Since he is no longer her brother, he has no right or reason to lock her up, and she will definitely be unhappy.
Coming to his senses, Jin Shiyu felt somewhat grateful to Jin Guizhong.

Huangfu Ying wanted to talk to Jin Guizhong and his daughter Huangfu Feng, so she left them in the palace for the night and they would return the next day. She ordered someone to send a rhinoceros-horn carriage to take Jin Suiqing and Jin Shiyu back to the Jin residence.
On the way back to the manor from Ziwei City, inside the rhinoceros-horn carriage, Jin Suiqing and Jin Shiyu sat facing each other. Jin Shiyu remained silent, seemingly lost in thought, while Jin Suiqing also kept quiet, taking advantage of the silence to consider their next steps.
The revelation of her identity went more smoothly than making dumplings during the Spring Festival Gala. Amidst her doubts, Jin Suiqing began to plan the preparations she needed to make to leave the Jin family.
The most important thing is to keep a low profile. Keep your distance from everyone in the Jin family, speak and communicate less, reduce your presence, and avoid any financial disputes so that you won't have any legal trouble when you run away.
Quietly playing the villain, quietly doing bad things, and quietly running away—that had been Jin Suiqing's plan for the past month. Having made up her mind, upon arriving at the Jin residence, as soon as the carriage stopped, Jin Suiqing immediately jumped off and rushed into the mansion.
The first step to living a quiet life is to pack your bags and make room for Huangfu Feng, moving to a smaller courtyard.
The small courtyard has its advantages: it's less likely to attract attention when causing trouble, and she can draw pictures or decorate little trinkets when she's not busy, giving her a couple of days of peace and quiet.
Jin Suiqing was so engrossed in running that she didn't notice the ghostly figure behind her. She followed her off the carriage, into the Jin residence, and into the courtyard. She watched as Jin Suiqing went into her room and then stood in the courtyard, watching her happily pack her luggage.
Jin Suiqing lay on the bed, picked up the plush toy on the left and hugged it to her chest. Jin Shiyu recognized it; it was the one he had given to Jin Suiqing.
He lied to her that he bought it from the street, but in reality, he sewed it by hand.
Jin Suiqing then removed the sachet hanging on the bed curtains and held it in her hand; Jin Shiyu recognized it as well.
He took a few pieces of fabric that Jin Suiqing liked from the tailor, worked in the Zhanxing Tower, and embroidered a few small flowers in his spare time, filled them with good fragrance materials, and mixed them into her new clothes.
Made from the same piece of cloth, easy to match with clothes, Jin Shiyu knew that Jin Suiqing would always stay.
Jin Suiqing went to tidy up the jewelry box again.
She picked up the braided bracelet, the beaded hairpin, the necklace, the earrings... all the things she loved so much were made and chosen by him.
So many.
Jin Suiqing picked and chose a few bracelets and silver hairpins that didn't look very valuable, putting them separately in a small cloth bag. Then she looked at the rest, which were the most valuable ones.
Jin Suiqing raised her hand with satisfaction and slapped the large mother-of-pearl jewelry box. She picked up the box and was about to run outside when she ran into Jin Shiyu in the courtyard.
Jin Suiqing quickly suppressed her smile. "Brother Shiyu, what are you doing here?"
Jin Shiyu blinked. He had a feeling that something was wrong. He had sensed it since the Zichen Palace. Just now, as he watched Jin Suiqing packing her things, that indescribable feeling became even more pronounced. Jin Shiyu asked blankly, "What are you doing?"
Jin Suiqing handed the box to Jin Shiyu: "I am no longer the little princess, so these things that should have been given to the little princess should be returned. I was thinking of giving them to Steward Mingjing, but since Brother Shiyu is here, it's the same to give them to you."
She used the word "you," and Kim Shi-ok asked, bewildered, "You don't want it anymore?"
Jin Suiqing shook her head: "It's not that I don't want it, it's that I shouldn't have it."
Jin Suiqing thought to herself that she should return these ridiculously expensive items as soon as possible, lest the system act up and force her to do petty, annoying tasks according to the plot, thus disrupting her plan to live a low-key life.
The box was heavy, and Jin Suiqing's arm grew tired from holding it, so she lifted it further. Jin Shiyu, however, didn't take it, tilting her head to the side. "It's for you, why shouldn't I take it?"
Jin Suiqing became a little anxious, "It's too precious, it should be given to the real little princess."
Kim Si-ok stood there, stunned.
He suddenly understood what that indescribable feeling was.
That feeling stretched and extended from the moment Jin Suiqing gave him the flowers that morning.
Seeing that he had no reaction, Jin Suiqing hurriedly stuffed the box into Jin Shiyu's hand, turned around and went into the room. He took out a small bundle from under the bed, put it on his shoulder, and walked past Jin Shiyu to leave.
Jin Shiyu suddenly grabbed her wrist. "Where are you going?"
“Let’s go to the side courtyard,” Jin Suiqing said. “The princess will be back tonight, so I’ll get ready early and go to the side courtyard to avoid causing trouble for the servants.”
Jin Shiyu gripped the jewelry box tightly, making the hinges creak. He held Jin Suiqing's wrist so hard that his knuckles turned white. Jin Suiqing frowned and cried out, "Brother Shiyu, it hurts! Let go!"
Hearing her cry out in pain, Jin Shiyu loosened his grip slightly, but didn't let go.
From the bouquet of flowers in the morning, to deliberately avoiding him during the exam, and then in the main hall, she only cried, without showing the slightest fear in her actions...
Even while packing his luggage, he was smiling.
It was as if her status had plummeted from heaven to earth; she had known all along that this devastating blow, like a blow from the sky, was coming on top of her.
Not only did we know this in advance, we were also prepared for it.
Otherwise, why would he have brought some trinkets, pulled out a small cloth bag he had prepared beforehand from under the bed, and been about to leave immediately?
Jin Shiyu chuckled softly, then suddenly pulled the person in front of him with great force, and said firmly, "Suiqing, tell me the truth, haven't you wanted to leave here for a long time?"
Jin Suiqing's eyes widened suddenly, his heart skipped a beat. How did he figure that out!
Was it because her acting was poor, or did she slip up somewhere? Jin Suiqing quickly waved her hand, "No, of course not."
Jin Shiyu scoffed: "Good boy, tell me the truth, stop talking nonsense, okay?"
Like being struck by lightning, Jin Suiqing stood frozen in place, inwardly exclaiming, "Oh my god, what should I do? I can't fool Jin Shiyu with nonsense!"
Seeing that she couldn't fool him and had been directly exposed, Jin Suiqing's pupils trembled, and she stammered for a long time without being able to speak. Jin Shiyu lowered his eyes, looked over her shoulder at her flattened bulge, and said, "Are you going to the side courtyard?"
Jin Suiqing was completely bewildered and could only nod hastily.
Jin Shiyu reached out and pulled the bag off her shoulder: "It's too remote to stay here, it's cold and damp. How about staying in my yard?"
Jin Shiyu grabbed the woman's wrist and pulled her out of the courtyard. He was tall and had long strides, and after a few steps, Jin Suiqing couldn't keep up and kept struggling. Jin Shiyu got angry, bent down, grabbed her knees with one hand, and carried her on his shoulder.
Jin Suiqing blurted out, struggling and shouting, "My stomach hurts! My stomach hurts! Your shoulder is digging into my stomach!"
Every two steps Jin Shiyu took, Jin Suiqing would squeal twice, like a rubber duck. Jin Shiyu's father, being the same old man, was still worried that she was in a bad stomachache, so he wrapped his arms around her knees and lowered her down, supporting her in the crook of his arm.
Jin Suiqing muttered, "Thank you, this position is much better."
Kim Shi-ok was so angry that the veins on his forehead were about to pop out.
Jin Shiyu walked very fast, the wind whistling, and Jin Suiqing muttered again, "Brother Shiyu, I'm hungry."
Kim Si-ok took a deep breath. "Let's eat in my room."
“No,” Jin Suiqing shook her head, “the food in your room is awful.”
She wasn't even pretending anymore, not even willing to offer him a single comforting lie! Jin Shiyu was so angry she was speechless, so she walked even faster, kicked open the door to his room, and threw him inside, leaving his small bag and box on the table before slamming the door shut.
Jin Suiqing shuffled to the door, and after hearing a series of clanging and banging sounds outside, she pushed the door open.
The door was locked from the outside.
She sighed, stopped struggling, found a stool and sat down near the door, thinking that at least they should provide a lamp, since it was pitch black and she couldn't see anything. So she stood up and fumbled for the lamp.
Feeling around, I found a small lamp by his bedside. I rubbed the base of the lamp with my hands, turned it on, and was stunned again when I saw what it looked like.
This magic lamp appears to be part of her homework.
To feign ignorance, she chose the simplest autumn crocus, and deliberately made it crooked and distorted. The petals, which should have been controlled by the mechanical structure to open and close, remained motionless, making a dry, creaking sound. Just now, when she lifted it up, the petals were almost all gone, leaving only a few oxidized, blackened metal pieces hanging from the lamp.
Jin Suiqing remembered that she had handed the lamp over in the hall and never received it back. She thought it had been left with Chai Zixin as a warning case, but she never expected it to be with Jin Shiyu.
Why didn't I see her when I came last time?
Jin Suiqing didn't want to think about it too much, because if she did, many things would fall apart.
She turned off the lamp, picked up the flower petals, and neatly arranged them by his bedside. After a long day, she was already past her usual hunger pangs, and all that was left was exhaustion. Looking at Jin Shiyu's bed, she thought that since she couldn't go anywhere else anyway, she might as well borrow his bed to sleep.
Jin Suiqing patted the bed and muttered, "It's really hard. No wonder his back is straight."
Thinking that she had slept in his bed before, Jin Suiqing felt no qualms and rolled around on Jin Shiyu's bed a couple of times. Once she was warm enough, she pulled the blanket next to her and wrapped herself up from head to toe.
Jin Shiyu carried the food into the room and saw a "big fleshy worm" lying across the bed.
Jin Shiyu's slight annoyance returned just as she was calming down. She was the one who insisted on moving, and she was the one who insisted on eating. Now that the food had been brought to her, she was the one who turned around and fell fast asleep!
He was about to slam the food box onto the table, but when he let go, he gently placed it down without making a sound.
Jin Shiyu sat on the stool, staring at the large, fleshy worm for a moment, his teeth clenched, wishing he could tear off all the fabric covering its body. After taking a few deep breaths, Jin Shiyu stood up, tiptoed, and cautiously approached.
As they approached the bedside, Jin Suiqing groaned and wriggled on the bed. Jin Shiyu immediately stopped, and said coldly with a hint of probing, "Eat something before you sleep."
Jin Suiqing, whether awake or not, kept adjusting her position while whimpering, "No... Brother, let's... let's sleep a little longer."
Jin Shiyu's voice was cold and hard, but his expression softened considerably, and his gaze towards her was as light as a feather falling to the ground. "I haven't eaten much all day, my body can't take it. Eat something before you sleep."
After waiting for a long time without receiving a response from Jin Suiqing, Jin Shiyu stood there blankly for a long time. He listened carefully to Jin Suiqing's steady breathing, leaned forward, and looked over the round quilt to the inside of the bed.
Unlike when she was a child, Jin Suiqing didn't bury her face in the blanket. Perhaps she found it stuffy. Instead, she dug a hole in the gap between the blanket and the bed and embedded her face there.
She had lost a lot of weight recently; the flesh on Jin Suiqing's face had disappeared, her chin had become pointed, and she was growing up to look like a woman, further and further away from being a girl. Jin Shiyu recalled that when he carried her into the house, there were two round and soft mounds of flesh on his shoulders.
Jin Shiyu's ears turned red instantly. He hurriedly tiptoed out of the house and hesitated for a long time outside the courtyard. The unclean things in his mind became clearer and clearer. He thought that the two ounces of meat were determined to die with him. Jin Shiyu looked up at the moon, exhaled a long breath of hot air, and quickly went back into the house.
He strode to the bedside, dug out a corner of the blanket, and pulled the person out. Halfway through, Jin Shiyu realized that he had pulled the person's hair, and if he pulled any harder, he would wake her up, so he quickly and gently pulled her hair out.
Jin Shiyu pulled down further, revealing the complete back of her head, a section of her fair and smooth neck, and small, delicate ears with fluffy, slightly red hair sticking out.
Jin Shiyu unconsciously thought about its taste, and suddenly felt that the thing between his legs was about to explode.
He took a deep breath, slowly rolled up the blanket, sat on the edge of the bed, reached out to support the back of the person's neck, and gently turned the person around.
Taking advantage of the extremely close position, his lips brushed against her soft, cool earlobe. Kim Shi-ok trembled, unwilling to pull away, and his hot breath rushed into her ear canal.
Jin Suiqing frowned and dodged.
Jin Shiyu quickly held his breath, used his fingers to hold the back of her neck firmly to prevent her from moving, and then pulled over a pillow and placed it under her neck.
Jin Shiyu withdrew his hand, but didn't know what to do with it. Looking at Jin Suiqing lying unguarded on his bed, he felt a surge of heat throughout his body. Before, he would eavesdrop through the door, but now that she was right in front of him, he wanted to touch her.
He wanted to touch her forehead, her eyelashes, the tip of her nose, and her lips.
If you touch it with your hands, he will become even more greedy and want to touch it with his breath, with his lips, or with other parts of his body.
Jin Shiyu's neck was burning. He was angry and on the verge of lust. He cursed inwardly. He cursed, but it was only scratching the surface. He couldn't be restrained by human ethics and morality. It was better to take off his clothes and be a wild beast. That way, he would have more reason to curse himself.
With repeated self-reminders, Jin Shiyu dared not look at Jin Suiqing again. He got up somewhat uncomfortably, hunching slightly, and went to the courtyard to fetch cold water for a bath.
After he finished relieving himself, he was doused with cold water and would not get up again. Jin Shiyu, wearing his undergarments and still wet, returned to the room, sat back down on the bed, warmed his hands, and, as usual, took Jin Suiqing's hair apart.
As they dismantled it, Kim Shi-ok became even angrier.
He then noticed that Jin Suiqing's hair was extremely plain today, with a simple hairstyle and not even a decent hairpin.
Perhaps they already knew the truth about their bloodline and planned to run away!
Author's note: Jin Shiyu is a male ghost whose maternal attributes outweigh his yin and dampness attributes.
