Chapter 4: Growing in the Heart
Ning Changyue was asleep, but Yin Jiu was not too sleepy. It was not too late, so he used Ning Changyue's mobile phone to contact his landlord to discuss check-out.
The other party was very easy to talk to. After learning that no deposit was required, he said that he would check the room tomorrow and if there were no problems, he would refund the remaining two months' rent.
After solving this problem, Yin Jiu casually glanced at Ning Changyue's mobile phone. There were quite a lot of people in the address book and a lot of unread messages. Yin Jiu just glanced at them and didn't look at the messages in detail.
The phone is a very old model, with no software installed, but it runs slowly.
Shen
During this period, Ning Changyue did not disturb him and slept soundly on the sofa.
Magically, even though there was one more person in the family, Yin Jiu didn't feel it was very real.
He stood in the living room for a while holding the cup of water. Yin had never been in a relationship before, so he didn't know if this way of getting along was normal.
We can only wait and see. After finishing the water in the cup, Yin Jiu went back to his room to sleep.
In the middle of the night, someone climbed onto the bed quietly, snuggled into his arms skillfully, and even put his hand on his back without any hesitation.
Even though he was woken up, Yin Jiu didn't get angry. He patted him on the back and went back to sleep.
However, when Yin Jiu woke up in the morning, he was the only one left in the bed. Not only had he left, but his shoes had also been taken away.
Yin Jiuguang went to the bathroom to wash up, and found Ning Changyue in the study.
He sat on the ground, looking outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The morning light shone on him, casting a warm golden halo on him.
Yin Jiu walked over and sat down behind him. Ning Changyue moved back and half-lay down, with her back against his chest. Yin Jiu put his hands on his knees, clasped them together to hold him.
"What are you looking at?" Yin Jiu asked him.
This question made Ning Changyue confused for a moment, and then he gave an answer that he thought was correct. He said, "Look at them all."
The sun, the clouds, the houses, the pedestrians, the cars, whatever comes into view is what you look at.
Yin Jiu would sometimes stand here to look at the scenery, the bustling night scene, and the gorgeous lights, but rather than appreciating the night scene, it was more of a way to calm his mood. Perhaps it was the sudden feeling of loneliness, or perhaps he was tired and wanted to take a break.
In short, it's not really for the scenery.
However, when Yin Jiu was very young, he also looked at the scenery with such concentration. At that time, he was curious about everything and never got tired of looking at it.
Of course, looking at it now, Yin Jiu didn't think the commotion outside the window was worth seeing. He asked the person in his arms, "Is it nice?"
"It looks good." Ning Changyue's answer was without any reluctance or hesitation.
Yin Jiu stopped talking and sat quietly with him for a while.
After about ten minutes, Yin Jiu stood up and asked, "Is it okay to have bread and milk for breakfast?"
Ning Changyue nodded perfunctorily, his eyes falling on a passerby.
Not long after, Yin Jiu came over with breakfast, and the two of them sat on the floor and finished their sandwiches and milk.
After sitting for another half an hour, Yin Jiu went to the gym to exercise, then took a shower and sat in front of the computer.
Lunch and dinner were both packed and delivered by driver Lao Li from the hotel.
A whole day passed, and even though there was an extra person in the house, Yin Jiu didn't feel any discomfort as if his life was invaded.
Ning Changyue was very happy by himself. He would not make any noise even if no one paid attention to him. He could sit in front of the window for several hours or sleep in the rocking chair for a whole afternoon.
But whenever Yin Jiu was free, he would find any opportunity to snuggle into his arms, not knowing how to be reserved at all.
Yin Jiu vaguely felt that the one extra person in his family was not just a person, but a cat that was a lot easier to take care of.
This feeling... is pretty good.
…
After dinner and a short rest, Yin Jiu found a pair of scissors and trimmed Ning Changyue's hair.
The location was right in the bathroom, which had just been repaired and was ready for showering.
Before the knife fell, Yin Jiu asked him, "You trust me so much? Aren't you afraid that I will embarrass you? It's not too late to regret it now."
Ning Changyue said nothing, but there was no worry on her face.
Since he is not afraid, Yin Jiu is even less afraid. He is quite confident in his craftsmanship.
As the scissors fell, Ning Changyue's hair became shorter and shorter. Yin Jiu had all the tools, including ordinary scissors, hair-chopping scissors, and electric razors. People with good looks can look good in any hairstyle, but there is also a very small probability that they will not be able to walk out of the barber shop with a smile, so if the hair is damaged, Yin Jiu will try to save it himself, and if he can't save it, he will just let it go.
However, this was the first time for Yin Jiu to cut someone else's hair. He used the micro-cut cap to trim it. After cutting, he casually brushed it twice and felt pretty good about himself.
The main thing is that I prefer a good-looking face, and as long as the hairstyle is not too ugly, I can handle it.
Ning Changyue looked in the mirror but did not express any opinion.
After putting away the tools and cleaning the hair on the floor, Yin Jiu left space for him to take a shower.
When Ning Changyue came out of the shower, Yin Jiu was fiddling with a spare mobile phone. The hair dryer was placed on the sofa and was plugged in.
Ning Changyue walked over and sat down next to Yin Jiu, but she had no intention of blow-drying her hair herself.
Yin Jiu seemed to have gotten used to it and picked up the hair dryer to blow his hair.
After I finished, I chatted with him: "I have to go to school tomorrow. If you don't want to stay at home, remember to bring this phone with you when you go out. There is a positioning software in it. If you want to find me, just check the location."
He handed the phone to Ning Changyue, who took it and asked, "Can I always see your location?"
Yin Jiu said: "Well, if there is a signal, you can always see it."
After receiving a positive answer, Ning Changyue asked again: "Can I go out by myself?"
When asked this question, Yin Jiu couldn't help but reflect on himself. What wrong signal did he give out that made Ning Changyue think that he was the kind of lawless criminal who locked people up at home and didn't let them go out?
With a joking mood, Yin Jiu deliberately asked back: "What if I say no?"
Ning Changyue pursed her lips, seeming to be really thinking about this question.
But Yin Jiu didn't dare to let him think any further, for no other reason than that he was afraid that his will was not strong enough. "I'm just kidding you. Of course you can go out and go wherever you want."
Ning Changyue nodded. Apart from that, he seemed to have no other questions. His own mobile phone was on the table. He studied the positioning software, then took out his SIM card and replaced it with the new phone.
He didn't even think about why there was a SIM card ejector pin next to the phone, and he just naturally replaced the SIM card.
During this time, Yin Jiu just sat quietly beside him, looking at him intently.
He seemed to do nothing, but the results were developing in the direction he wanted.
After Ning Changyue changed the card, Yin Jiu took out his own phone, unlocked it, nodded to Ning Changyue, and said, "It seems that we haven't added each other as friends yet. Do you want to add us?"
Ning Changyue noticed that his phone was the same model as his own. He said "hmm", with the corners of his lips slightly raised, and he looked very happy.
Yin Jiu turned his head away and stopped looking.
It seemed that he really wasn't a decent person, and a sense of self-loathing and inferiority arose spontaneously, but a sense of comfort from having his possessiveness satisfied was also growing.
Is Ning Changyue really so easy to fool, or is she just a high-class pretender?
Of course, whether it is the former or the latter, as long as the goal is achieved.
Yin Jiu was not afraid that Ning Changyue had some ulterior motives. The more Ning Changyue wanted, the better. In this way, the more he wanted, the harder it would be for him to leave him.
Since it's a matter of life and death, Yin Jiu will naturally bet more. He will be good to Ning Changyue, so good that Ning Changyue can never leave him again.
Be it despicable or shameless, who was the one who provoked him first?
Now that you have provoked me, don't think of retreating.
Although there were dark thoughts in his mind, Yin Jiu's face was gentle.
Ning Changyue only sat for a while before she collapsed into Yin Jiu's arms, leaning against him and playing with her phone.
The movements were so natural, as if they had been rehearsed countless times beforehand.
Yin Jiu held him with one hand, and found it incredible. When they really got to know each other, this man was exactly what he wanted, as if he was right at home.
