"Did you go to the hospital?" He Li looked at Yuan Jiang's pale, trembling lips with concern, his back straight and his expression unreadable.
"I'm fine, thank you for your concern, Dr. He." Yuan Jiang's voice was a little hoarse as she folded her umbrella and walked towards the inpatient area.
He Li glanced sideways and saw a distant and indifferent expression on the girl's beautiful but frail face. His well-defined fingers twitched slightly, and he lowered his eyelashes, saying in an ambiguous tone, "Yuan Jiang, we don't need to be so polite between us."
Between us?
Yuan Jiang suddenly stopped, turned her head and met He Li's dark eyes. Her heart skipped a beat. She shook her head and said softly, "Dr. He, you are the owner of this hospital, and I am the owner of the kitten. That's all."
Between adults, some things don't need to be said explicitly. He Li understood that Yuan Jiang was trying to distance herself from him, and his expression instantly turned cold.

"Little cat, cough... cough cough cough..." Yuan Jiang stood in front of the hospital cabinet and stared at the tabby cat. Before she could speak, she suddenly covered her mouth and coughed. Her eyes were misty with tears from the cough. Her skin was white, and her lips were also pale with a sickly look. Her fox eyes were alluring, with a touch of gentleness mixed with a touch of fragility.
The tabby cat curled up in the corner, its body suddenly stiffening. Its cat eyes stared at Yuan Jiang with hostility and wariness, a hint of seriousness hidden in them.
What happened to her?
