"Hiss—" Professor Lin's gasp on the other end of the communicator was so clear it seemed to be right next to my ear. The sound was like someone pouring a bucket of ice water over your head in the dead of winter.
"What the hell?! That damned madman, Red Owl... He... he really dares to do this?! If he succeeds, what will happen? The entire wasteland will be finished! Everyone will become a walking corpse! The consequences... I can't even imagine them, I can't even imagine them!" The old professor's voice trembled, with a sob in it. Clearly, this news was like the sky falling down for him.

A cold glint flashed in his eyes, as fast as a shooting star, but a bloodthirsty and arrogant smile curled at the corner of his mouth, as if he could already see Chi Xiao kneeling and begging for mercy.
"Heh, Red Owl, your VIP trial card has expired." He practically gritted his teeth as he squeezed out these words, his voice not loud, but carrying an air of domineering confidence that said, "I'm going to take your dog's life today."
Immediately afterward, he spoke into the communicator, each word deliberate and forceful: "Old man Lin, gather the men, clean your necks... oh no, I mean, sharpen your gear, get ready, this grand show has only just begun!"
