Chapter 165 The Final Bet

The team moved swiftly across the gray wasteland, the air thick with the smell of dust, and occasionally the low growls of wild beasts could be heard from the distant ruins.

Lu Zhaoming's steps were firm and powerful, his gaze fixed on the front, as if endless secrets were hidden in that desolate wasteland.

Qin Wan'er followed closely behind, and although she still wore that innocent smile, there was a hint of unease in her eyes.

Just then, Qin Wan'er suddenly stopped and said in a low voice, "I know you doubt me, but this time I am truly cooperating." Her sweet voice sounded particularly jarring in the silent wasteland.

Lu Zhaoming did not respond, but merely glanced at Qinglian with a cold gaze, signaling her to remain vigilant.

Qinglian understood immediately, a faint blue light flashing in her hand, ready to deal with any unexpected situation.

Seeing this, Qin Wan'er gave a helpless bitter smile: "It seems my sincerity isn't enough." She paused slightly.

The team continued forward, passing through ruins, and finally arrived at the periphery of the White Robe Army's main control center.

This is a huge ruin, its exterior walls are dilapidated, but you can still see its former glory.

The gate was tightly closed, and the surrounding area was filled with various traps and surveillance equipment.

Qin Wan'er stepped forward, observed carefully for a moment, and then turned to Lu Zhaoming and said, "This place is heavily guarded, we need to be careful."

Lu Zhaoming nodded, signaling the group to follow.

They carefully navigated around the traps and eventually entered a dimly lit passage.

Inside the passageway, a few dim lights were embedded in the walls, and the low rumble of equipment could be heard occasionally.

Qin Wan'er led everyone through a series of winding passages, finally arriving at a huge circular hall.

The interior of the hall was arranged in an unusually simple manner, with a huge control console in the center, covered with various keyboards and screens.

Several beams of light intertwined in the air, displaying a complex data stream.

Lu Zhaoming walked to the control panel, his brows furrowed. He discovered that the core database was encrypted with multiple layers of encryption and required a specific password to unlock.

Qin Wan'er stepped forward with a smile: "I can crack these codes, but it will take some time." Lu Zhaoming pretended to relax his guard, but in reality, he used his Judgment Eye to monitor her every move.

He secretly became wary; this woman was definitely not someone to be trifled with.

Qin Wan'er began operating the console, her fingers flying across the keyboard, various codes and prompts flashing on the screen.

Just then, a warning popped up on Lu Zhaoming's system interface: "Warning! Warning! Hidden program detected! Virus is uploading!"

Just as Qin Wan'er was about to complete the final breakthrough, Lu Zhaoming said coldly, "Your tricks end here." Qinglian immediately reacted and used her supernatural power to lock Qin Wan'er firmly in place.

Qin Wan'er smiled calmly and said, "You think you can win like this? The white-robed man has already activated the ultimate defense program. You have no way to escape!" As soon as she finished speaking, the alarm suddenly sounded, and a large number of guards poured into the hall from all directions.

Lu Zhaoming made a decisive move, ordering Qinglian and the blacksmith to provide cover while he forcibly broke through the defenses.

A system notification popped up: "Judgment Storm III unlock conditions met, but some life force must be sacrificed." Lu Zhaoming activated the skill without hesitation, and a powerful energy erupted from his body, instantly sweeping through the entire hall and defeating the enemies.

However, his body swayed as if he were under a tremendous burden.

Just as Lu Zhaoming was about to leave, Qin Wan'er suddenly broke free from her restraints, her eyes flashing with a cold light.

She laughed coldly, "You think this is the end? The real challenge has only just begun..." Her words trailed off, as if even more conspiracies awaited them.

Just as Lu Zhaoming was preparing to leave, Qin Wan'er suddenly unleashed an unexpected power, breaking free from Qinglian's supernatural restraints.

Her fingers flew across the control panel, instantly snatching a crucial piece of data before she vanished into the dimly lit corridor.

A warning popped up on the system interface: "Data leak risk detected. Immediate pursuit recommended." Lu Zhaoming watched her retreating figure, a cold smile appearing on his lips: "How far do you think you can run?" He turned to Qinglian and the blacksmith and said, "Get ready, we're going to pursue her!" At this moment, the sound of machinery running came from afar, as if an even greater challenge was about to arrive.

Qinglian's expression turned serious as she reminded him, "She's very fast..."
