Chapter 25 Blade of Judgment

"Hehehe... Lu Zhaoming, you choose the path to heaven over the path to hell!" The old wolf's sinister voice, like a layer of rotten mud, echoed stickily in the darkness, sending chills down one's spine.

"Old Wolf?" Lu Zhaoming squinted, trying to adjust to this pitch-black place.

He cursed inwardly, thinking that the old man's voice was wasted if he didn't sing horror movie theme songs.

"That's right, it's me, your grandpa!" The old wolf's voice grew closer, carrying a smug, cat-and-mouse-like tone. "Today, I'll show you what happens when you offend me! I'll show you why flowers are so red!"

"Heh, you think you can take me on?" Lu Zhaoming sneered, a dangerous smile curving his lips.

But in his mind, he was quickly calculating what kind of bad scheme this old guy was up to again.

In the darkness, the old wolf's figure slowly emerged. The hideous scar on his face, in the dim light, looked like a twisted centipede, making one want to have a nightmare just by looking at it.

"Lu Zhaoming, do you think you're so clever? Let me tell you, everything is under my control!" Old Wolf grinned maliciously, slowly raising a gleaming dagger. "The game begins..."

The moment the dagger flashed with a cold light, Lu Zhaoming moved!

He had already activated the system, and the newly added "Special Ability Restraint" skill was no joke.

Simply put, this thing is specifically designed to deal with these strange and unusual superpowered individuals.

Old Wolf's rudimentary skills were child's play compared to Lu Zhaoming's.

"System, give him a good beating!" Lu Zhaoming silently chanted in his mind.

Almost simultaneously, an invisible energy fluctuation instantly enveloped the old wolf.

"Ah!" The old wolf let out a muffled groan, as if an invisible hand had gripped his throat, leaving him stiff and unable to move.

His eyes widened.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Lu Zhaoming was also taken aback by the effect. This "superpower restraint" skill was practically a bug!

He had no intention of giving Old Wolf any chance to breathe.

He rushed forward, snatched the dagger from the old wolf's hand, and held it to his neck.

"Speak, who sent you?" Lu Zhaoming's voice was icy, carrying an unquestionable authority.

Old Wolf's face was as pale as paper. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but found that he couldn't make a sound at all.

He could only stare at Lu Zhaoming with terrified eyes.

Lu Zhaoming didn't have time to waste with him.

He quickly searched the old wolf's body and soon found a small signal transmitter in his pocket.

"What is this?" Lu Zhaoming raised the signal transmitter and squinted.

"Ding! System scanning in progress... Signal transmitter detected, used to monitor the situation inside the base." The system notification sounded at the right time.

"A surveillance base? Heh, looks like we've found the mole." Lu Zhaoming's lips curled into a cold smile.

He had long suspected that someone in the base was up to no good. Now it seemed that his suspicions were indeed correct.

"Qin Wan'er, what a scheming bitch!" Lu Zhaoming cursed inwardly.

With irrefutable evidence, Lu Zhaoming and his group quickly returned to the courtroom.

The hall was still noisy at this time.

The survivors chattered amongst themselves, their faces showing unease and anxiety.

Upon seeing Lu Zhaoming return, everyone immediately fell silent and turned to look at him.

"Everyone, I have an important announcement to make." Lu Zhaoming's voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly.

He walked to the judge's bench and slammed the signal transmitter in his hand heavily on the table.

"I believe everyone is familiar with this. It's the signal transmitter used to monitor our base." Lu Zhaoming looked around, his gaze finally settling on Qin Wan'er.

Qin Wan'er's expression changed slightly, but she quickly regained her composure, her face still bearing that hypocritical smile.

"Mr. Lu, what are you saying? I don't understand." Qin Wan'er asked, feigning surprise.

"Don't understand? No problem, I'll make you understand." Lu Zhaoming sneered and activated the system.

"System, generate a holographic projection for me and display all of Qin Wan'er's crimes!"

Following Lu Zhaoming's instructions, holographic projections appeared out of thin air in the hall.

The projection clearly showed the entire process of Qin Wan'er forging images and manipulating public opinion.

Even her detailed plan for manipulating public opinion was shown word for word.

"This...this is impossible!"

"Oh my god, so she was the one who orchestrated all of this!"

"This woman is absolutely terrifying!"

Upon seeing these irrefutable holographic projections, the survivors erupted in uproar.

They angrily accused Qin Wan'er, wishing they could tear her to pieces.

Faced with these accusations, Qin Wan'er's expression finally changed.

She could no longer maintain that fake smile; her face was filled with terror and panic.

"No... I didn't do it! These are all fake! Lu Zhaoming framed me!" Qin Wan'er cried out in a hoarse voice.

"Frame you? Heh, do you think I would frame you for no reason?" Lu Zhaoming sneered.

Mr. Lu

"Su Li, you..." Qin Wan'er stared wide-eyed at Su Li in disbelief.

"Qin Wan'er, you don't need to pretend anymore. I've seen through your true colors long ago," Su Li said coldly.

“I overheard you mention ‘Project Sky Dome’ during my treatment. I suppose it’s not exactly a secret?” Su Li added.
