Inside the warehouse, the roar of the engines sounded like the death knell, each note more urgent than the last.
Lu Zhaoming narrowed his eyes, and the Doomsday Judgment System operated at high speed, constructing a dynamic map in his mind of the approaching enemy forces.
"Looks like these bastards are trying to trap us like turtles in a jar!" Lu Zhaoming sneered, his tone laced with a hint of cynicism. "However, the outcome is still uncertain!"
Su Li nimbly inspected the weapons, the daggers flying between her fingers like nimble snakes.
A hint of worry crossed her eyes: "Zhaoming, the enemy's firepower is very strong. If we fight them head-on, I'm afraid..."
Qinglian's face was pale, clearly indicating that the previous battle had taken a heavy toll on her.
She tugged at Lu Zhaoming's sleeve, her voice trembling, "Brother Lu, with Xiaocao and Dr. Li by our side, we're too slow, we'll just be a burden!"
Lu Zhaoming nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the little grass curled up in the corner and the elderly Dr. Li.
He took a deep breath and made a decision: "Su Li, you take Xiao Cao and Dr. Li and take another route to the safe house. Qing Lian, you assist them and provide necessary support."
"And what about you?" Su Li asked, a hint of worry in her eyes.
"Me?" Lu Zhaoming grinned, revealing a set of pearly white teeth. "I'll take care of luring those Red Wolf bastards away! Don't worry, I have a brilliant plan!"
"No, it's too dangerous!" Su Li refused decisively. "If we're going, we'll go together!"
"Stop being so wishy-washy!" Lu Zhaoming patted Su Li's shoulder, his tone leaving no room for doubt. "Time is of the essence. If we delay any longer, no one will be able to leave! Trust me, I'll be fine!"
Su Li bit her lip, but finally nodded: "Okay, I'll listen to you! Be careful!"
"Don't worry!" Lu Zhaoming gave Su Li a reassuring look, then turned to Liu Yan, "Liu Yan, you're with me! It's time to show those white-robed dogs who the real masters of this wasteland are!"
Liu Yan gripped his weapon tightly and said in a deep voice, "Fine, I'll go with you!"
The plan was finalized quickly.
With the help of Qinglian, Su Li, Xiaocao, and Doctor Li quietly left through the back door of the warehouse.
Lu Zhaoming and Liu Yan stayed behind, preparing to give Red Wolf a "surprise".
"Go!" Lu Zhaoming shouted, leading Liu Yan out of the warehouse and rushing towards the dense forest in the distance.
Shortly after the two figures disappeared into the jungle, Red Wolf's white-robed troops arrived in a grand procession.
Looking at the empty warehouse, Red Wolf's face was terribly gloomy.
"Damn it! They got away!" Red Wolf roared, his voice filled with resentment.
"Sir, what do we do now?" a soldier asked cautiously.
"Chase them! Chase them! Even if we have to dig three feet into the ground, we have to find them!" Red Wolf said through gritted teeth. "Also, notify Mad Dog to lead his men to flank them from the side and make sure they are all wiped out!"
Upon receiving the order, the white-robed troops quickly sprang into action, pursuing the direction in which Lu Zhaoming and the others had fled.
Meanwhile, Lu Zhaoming was leading Liu Yan at high speed through the dense forest.
The Doomsday Judgment System acts like a precise navigator, guiding them to evade enemy searches and advance towards the predetermined ambush location.
"Zhaoming, where are we going?" Liu Yan asked breathlessly.
"Go prepare a big gift for those bastards!" Lu Zhaoming's lips curled into a mysterious smile.
Soon, the two arrived at a steep valley.
Lu Zhaoming stopped and began to set up a trap.
He dug traps in the ground, covered them with camouflage, and set up tripwires in the trees, connecting them to makeshift explosive devices.
"Is this enough?" Liu Yan asked with some concern, looking at the traps Lu Zhaoming had set up.
“Of course not!” Lu Zhaoming shook his head and took out a remote control from his backpack. “The real show is just beginning!”
With everything prepared, the two hid in secluded spots on either side of the valley, quietly waiting for their prey to arrive.
Not long after, a commotion arose in the distance.
Red Wolf's white-robed troops finally entered the valley.
"Be careful, the terrain here is complicated, there might be an ambush!" Red Wolf warned warily.
However, his warning came too late.
With a loud bang, a landmine was detonated, instantly sending flesh and blood flying everywhere.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" the white-robed soldiers cried out in panic.
Without hesitation, Lu Zhaoming pressed the remote control, detonating the pre-arranged explosive device.
In an instant, flames soared into the sky in the valley, and the sound of explosions was deafening.
"Ah..." Screams rose and fell as the white-robed soldiers were blown to pieces, suffering heavy casualties.
"Damn it! We've fallen for their trap!" Red Wolf was furious.
He drew his weapon and opened fire wildly in the direction where Lu Zhaoming was hiding.
However, Lu Zhaoming was prepared and nimbly weaved through the trees, dodging the enemy's attacks.
While dodging, he used the system navigation to lock onto the enemy's location and then accurately threw a grenade.
"Boom! Boom!" The grenades exploded in the crowd, taking the lives of several more soldiers in white robes.
"Damn it! Grab him!" Red Wolf ordered angrily.
The soldiers in white robes rushed towards Lu Zhaoming, intending to capture him and bring him to justice.
However, at that moment, a sudden change occurred.
Suddenly, a group of figures sprang out of the jungle and launched a fierce attack on the white-robed soldiers.
These figures moved swiftly, were agile, and possessed immense strength; a single punch could send a white-robed soldier flying.
