Chapter 35: Pursuit

Chapter 35: Pursuit

Outside the wilderness on the western outskirts of Igwynt, three horse-drawn Mercedes-Benz carriages were driving on a deserted road, one in front and two behind, chasing each other. In the dim environment, muzzle flashes kept flashing, and bursts of gunfire broke the silence.

Lying on the driver's seat in front of the carriage, Dorothy was concentrating on one thing at this time. On the one hand, she controlled the zombie horse to rush forward along the road and turn the corner, and on the other hand, she controlled the zombie Thomas to shoot back at the pursuers with a pistol on the roof of the carriage. For a while, bullets were fired all around, and Dorothy could hear the sound of the carriage being hit by bullets from time to time.

Since both sides were in a high-speed and unstable state of motion, it was very difficult to aim and hit the target. Most of the shots were misses. Even if the bullets hit the target, they hit the carriage and did not cause any casualties.

On the roof of the carriage, the corpse Thomas kept shooting at his former companions in the back. Since the revolver had a low capacity, he soon ran out of bullets. At this time, Dorothy controlled Thomas to throw the empty pistol to herself, and then she threw the pistol with full bullets in her hand to Thomas. After receiving the pistol with full bullets, Thomas continued to shoot, while Dorothy took the opportunity to reload the empty gun. After reloading, she switched to Thomas's gun that had run out of bullets and continued to reload, thus greatly filling the firepower vacuum period.

Pulling the cart, shooting, reloading, using both the main body and the two corpses, Dorothy started operating on three fronts in an instant.

Since it was the zombie Thomas who was fighting back on the roof of the car, the pursuers behind the car all aimed at him and shot. Although it was difficult to hit the target, there would always be a chance of hitting the target under continuous shooting. Soon, Thomas on the roof of the car was hit in the chest by two bullets. However, this damage was not enough to affect Thomas's movements, because he was just a zombie. As long as the key motor tissues were not damaged and the spiritual power of the "cup" was continuous, he could continue to fight back.

As long as she turned on the "blood lock", she would be able to win the gunfight even if her shooting skills were terrible. With super high fault tolerance, Dorothy controlled Thomas, who had been shot four times but was still standing, to finally hit a man on the other side's carriage. The man was killed on the spot by a bullet through the chest, and just when he was about to fall, Dorothy freed Thomas from the corpse doll, and then extended the spiritual thread of the corpse doll ring to the back, connecting it to the body that had just been shot by Thomas.

As the spiritual power of the "cup" surged, the eyes of the newly dead body in the pursuit car began to move, and the whole body began to move again. He gripped the pistol in his hand tightly, silently aimed at his teammate who was still shooting forward on the vehicle next to him, and pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

As the gunshots rang out, the pursuers on the roof of the adjacent carriage were also shot and killed by friendly fire. Since the two pursuers' carriages were not far apart and there was no defense, the shot easily killed them.

Then, Dorothy wanted to continue to control the corpse of the pursuers and shoot the two coachmen driving the carriage, but they had already noticed something strange on the carriage behind them. One of the coachmen hurriedly pulled the reins to turn the carriage and shake it, trying to shake the corpse doll off. The corpse doll was shaken and its aim was tilted, so the gun did not hit the coachman but hit the horse instead.

With a neigh, the horse that was shot in the body completely lost control and crashed into the friendly army's carriage next to it. The two carriages collided sideways, the reins became entangled with each other, and the wheels were unbalanced due to the collision. The two carriages overturned in a few moments, and rolled to the ground in chaos.

At this time, Dorothy continued to move forward in the carriage.

In the messy carriage, two figures slowly got up. They were the two coachmen of the carriage.

Because of the overturned carriage, the two drivers were covered in bruises and blood, but they still stood upright, staring at the direction where Dorothy's carriage was going away, with silence on their faces.

"We can't waste time on this..."

"The mission must be accomplished..."

"It's time... It's time to sacrifice yourself..."

"Only if you eat your own food first... can you feast at the banquet..."

While muttering, the two drivers took out a palm-sized piece of ancient straw paper from their clothes. On the straw paper were depicted complex and mysterious patterns, and in the center of these patterns was a symbol of a drawing cup.

"I use my body as food... I beg for the blood cup..."

Muttering, the two drivers slapped the straw paper on their foreheads, and then the straw paper automatically ignited a red flame. After the straw paper burned out, a mark of a smoking cup was left on the foreheads of the two drivers, emitting a bright red light.

Then, the two drivers' eyes glowed red, they ignored the wounds on their bodies, and ran straight after the vehicle going away in the distance... at an extremely fast speed.

Dorothy, who was sitting in the driver's seat of the Mercedes-Benz carriage, breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that she had successfully dealt with the pursuers. Just as she was thinking about where to park, she suddenly heard some unusual movement coming from behind.

Dorothy leaned her head to look behind the car, and then she saw a shocking scene.

On the road behind the car, there were two figures driving a Mercedes at high speed, their legs and feet moving at a very fast speed, and they were approaching the carriage Dorothy was riding at a very high speed. Dorothy recognized the two figures, they were the coachmen of the two carriages that she had overturned before!

"Fuck... When did these two guys catch up with us? How can their two legs outrun four legs!"

Dorothy was suddenly shocked to see that the two drivers were catching up with her just by running, but she did not stop. She controlled Thomas on the carriage again and shot at the two drivers who were chasing her.

Amid a series of gunshots, one of the drivers was shot to the bottom, while another driver had already run quite close to the carriage, then he jumped up and jumped directly onto the roof of the carriage, scaring Dorothy.

"Is this human physical strength?!"

Dorothy controlled Thomas to raise his gun and shoot the driver who jumped on the roof of the carriage. She wanted to shoot at close range, but the driver was one step faster. He slapped Thomas with his claws. The powerful force not only knocked the gun out of Thomas' hand, but also knocked him off the roof. Dorothy lost her barrier for a moment.

After solving the last obstacle, the ferocious-looking driver continued to pounce on the driver's seat. Dorothy, who was hiding on the driver's seat, couldn't help but frown when she saw the brutal driver attacking her.

"Oh no...Is the only option left to me? "

Faced with the immediate crisis, just as Dorothy was about to use her last trump card, the Dragon Roar, there was a sound of breaking air, and a gray-white stone spear flew at high speed from a distance, accurately piercing the driver's chest. The driver was miserably dragged backwards by the heavy and thick spear, and was nailed to death on the road after being taken off the car.

Seeing this scene, Dorothy was stunned for a moment. Then she turned to look in the direction where the spear came from, and saw several figures standing at the intersection in the distance.

There were four knights in gray-white armor, looking like stone statues. One of them was still holding a spear, and standing in the middle of the four knights was an old man.

He was wearing a coarse cloth shirt, an apron, sleeves, a work hat, his whole body was covered in gray, and his hair was grey... This was Dean, the janitor of St. Amanda's School.

At this time, Dean had a smile on his face, holding a motionless gecko in his hand... Facing Dorothy in the car in front, he smiled and shouted.

"You can stop now, Miss Meshhaus."
