Chapter 148 Who the hell is dead? Explain clearly

Nanxi always felt uneasy, but she was frightened today and was not feeling well. When Baru coaxed her to soak her feet, she fell asleep in his arms.

The man waited until she fell asleep before carrying her to bed, kissing her forehead, and then leaving.

His trusted men were already waiting in the living room.

"Have you found out who it is?" His face was completely devoid of the tenderness and gentleness from before. His jawline was tightly taut and his dark eyes were churning with dark currents.

"I found out, Brother Lu, it's Zawan's people." Boha handed over the tablet in his hand, which contained a video of the captured "Tongue" being interrogated.

"Zha Wan? Isn't he in northern Myanmar? He set up this 'Buddhist Army' that's like a bunch of beggars. Why is he in Naypyidaw? And he's even upgraded his weapons?"

Baru took a look at the tablet, threw it on the coffee table, lit a cigarette, and asked with a frown.

"He suddenly upgraded his equipment half a year ago, swallowed up several small armed forces nearby, and then defected to Sakun. Now it's called the 861st Combined Brigade."

Balu looked up at Boha who was speaking, but said nothing, as if he was thinking about something.

"That makes sense." The man changed his posture and scratched his short hair. "The money for the equipment replacement must have been obtained from my father-in-law. There must be some problem between them."

"Biaozi, from now on, you'll be staying with my wife. My father-in-law is always scheming against people, and he must be being targeted. If they can't touch him, they'll definitely turn their attention to Xixi. Also, Boha, go check out the area. I'm going to chop Zawan off myself and wipe out his damned combined brigade."

Boha and Biaozi looked at each other and nodded, "Got it, Brother Lu."

Nan Xiaoxi was not feeling well, and Balu didn't have the heart to care about his father-in-law's affairs. After giving his instructions, he went upstairs and hugged his wife to warm her waist.

In the second half of the night, a strong wind suddenly blew up, with lightning and thunder. Nanxi had a nightmare and was so scared that she sat up directly in bed.

"What's wrong, baby? Did you have a nightmare?" Baru stretched out his long arm to turn on the light, and hugged the little woman who was sweating and frightened.

"Baru, what time is it? Why did I fall asleep?" She looked as if all the energy had been drained out of her body, leaning motionless in the man's strong arms.

"It's only the late night, not even four o'clock. Sleep a little longer, okay?" The man frowned slightly, hugged her with heartache and lay back down.

"Balu, I dreamt something happened to my dad." Nanxi's voice was choked with sobs. "Give me my phone. I want to call my dad."

"Baby, it's still dark."

"I don't care, I'm going to fight, bring it to me." She was a little angry.

The man had no choice but to get out of bed and grab her phone from the coffee table. "Here, call."

She took the phone and lay on her back, "Come here and let me lean on you. My waist is sore."

Baru's palm landed on the top of her head. "You are such a troublesome old man."

Then he sat down on the edge of the bed and let her head lean against him.

After three calls, no one answered. The woman complained with a frustrated look on her face, "What's wrong with this old man? His daughter was being hunted, and he didn't even bother to call and ask. How cold-blooded and heartless."

He handed the phone to Baru and reluctantly lay back down, "Turn off the lights!"

"Remember to wake me up at 8 o'clock in the morning. I'm going to go back and blackmail the old man."

It was a habit she developed since childhood. Whenever her father was in the wrong, she liked to extort money from him and then watch him apologize to her with a cold face.

The father and daughter were at a loss as to what to do.

Balu didn't quite understand the relationship between his wife and father-in-law. No matter how close they were, no one could say they were that close. But it still gave him a headache. Every time his father-in-law looked at him, it was as if he had stolen their family's gold, which made him very angry.

But before dawn, Balu's phone rang.

"Brother Lu." It was Fu Chai's voice over there.

Fu Chai was sent by him to keep an eye on Ang Su. He called at this time, so something must have happened.

"What happened?" Balu raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows, asking in a hoarse voice.

"Brother Lu, is Sister Xi with you?"

"If you have something to say, just say it. Why are you asking me about my wife? Where else could my wife be if she's not by my side?" The man was inexplicably angry.

"No, Brother Lu, something happened at Sister Xi's home. It's a big deal. I'm not sure if you should let her know about it now."

Balu's face immediately darkened and he said, "Wait."

He threw back the quilt and got out of bed, wearing only a pair of pink underwear. He pushed open the bedroom door and squatted at the second floor stairs. "Tell me, what's the matter?"

"In the middle of the night, a car drove out of Angsu's house. I thought something was wrong, so I followed it. The car ended up going to the hospital, and the people inside were taken in for emergency treatment."

Vuchai paused and continued, "I thought it was Aung Suk who was admitted to the hospital, so I thought I would take the opportunity to kill him. But I didn't expect that when I entered the ward, he was already dead."

"Who the hell is dead? Tell me clearly, Angsu?" Baru growled impatiently.

"It's not Angsu, it's your father-in-law Nan Zhenguo."

Bang--

Balu didn't hold the phone firmly and it fell directly on his feet.

"Brother Lu...Brother Lu..."

Fu Chai's anxious voice came from the phone on the ground.

Baru was stunned for more than ten seconds before picking up his phone again. "Did you see clearly? My father-in-law? Nan Zhenguo?"

"It's absolutely true. Brother Lu, I didn't dare call Sister Xi directly, for fear that she wouldn't be able to handle you breaking down on me."

"Do you know who did it?" Baru realized almost instantly that something was fishy.

"I don't know. I don't know who suppressed the news. The patient is still lying in the ward. They haven't been taken to the morgue yet. I don't know what they are doing. There are guards outside. I climbed out through the window."

"Is there anyone around him? His concubine, or his confidant, Aungsu's people?"

"No, no one."

"Got it, Fu Cai, keep watching. Call me if you have anything."

After hanging up the phone, Balu became gloomy. How could he tell Nan Xiaoxi about such a big thing?

He squatted at the stairs and smoked several cigarettes, but still couldn't come up with any good solution.

It is impossible to keep it a secret. Once Nan Xiaoxi finds out that he has kept it a secret from her, she will definitely make a big fuss. He doesn't dare to take the risk.

There is only one way, to tell the truth, be her backer, and support her unconditionally in whatever she wants to do.

When she said she wanted to kill Aung Su, he immediately opened fire with his soldiers.

The man wiped his face, crushed out his cigarette, and made a phone call.

"Biaozi, have everyone gather immediately, bring their weapons, and notify the Falcon Squadron. The armed helicopters are ready to take off and provide support at any time."

Biaozi over there woke up instantly, "Yes."

After finishing his explanation, Baruli narrowed his eyes, exhaled a few deep breaths, pushed open the bedroom door and walked in.
