Chapter 222 Tell Him Who I Am

Zhan Peng saw her crying again, and he felt even more upset. It had only been a short time since they met, and she had already cried three times. He hurriedly took a tissue to wipe her tears.

"Okay, stop crying. I'm feeding you. Your eyes are hurt from crying."

"Go away, I don't want to see you." Yana took the paper and wiped her tears. Her soft voice made people feel itchy.

Zhan Peng took out his phone and showed her the drawings that Zhan Zhan had made. "You don't want to see me, and you don't want to see your son? These are the drawings he made of our family. You don't have a face in any of them. He said he can't remember what his mother looks like anymore. The mother in the pictures is not his real mother."

Yana freed one hand tremblingly and looked at the photo above, her heart aching.

Zhan Peng consciously sat behind her, using her as a human cushion, and then pulled her into his arms. "Yana, this is all my fault. I shouldn't have made you sad. If you really have to, stab me twice, and then calm down and come back with me, okay? Without you, what's the difference between us father and son and lonely ghosts?"

"Don't say anymore..." Yana reluctantly stuffed the phone into his arms and cried until she was out of breath. The baby in her arms who was breastfeeding seemed to feel her mother's emotions and started crying too.

Zhan Peng was so confused by the two of them that his head was about to explode. He tried to coax the older one, but the younger one was making a fuss and it was no use. He was too lazy to coax the younger one, as he knew he was not his own child.

Finally he snatched the child away and shouted at the child fiercely, "Stop making noise, or I'll strangle you to death."

The baby in her arms was stunned for a moment, as if looking at the unfamiliar uncle in front of her, then closed her eyes and cried out "wow" again.

It took Yana a long time to control her emotions. She held the child in her arms and coaxed him. Zhan Peng was neither standing nor sitting, and followed her around in circles in the bedroom.

Finally, the child fell asleep, and Yana was so tired that she couldn't open her eyelids.

Zhan Peng felt distressed and watched her put the child in the stroller. He patted her back and said,

"You go to bed and sleep for a while, I won't disturb you."

Yana no longer had the energy to argue with him. She went to bed without saying a word and fell asleep with her clothes on.

Zhan Peng stood by the bed and looked at her for a while, then turned his head away from her face and looked at her hair.

"Baby, you've suffered."

Then he choked up and moved his Adam's apple, released the brakes on the wheels under the crib, and pushed the stroller out.

The next day, when the sky was bright, Yana suddenly opened her eyes. Her first reaction was to go see the child, but there was no sign of even the crib.

I was so scared that I almost fell off the bed and ran out of the bedroom like crazy.

In the living room, Zhan Peng was lying on his back on the sofa, and Dan Min, a small child, was lying on his chest with her little butt sticking out. Both of them were sleeping soundly, and Zhan Peng had one hand on the child's back to keep her warm.

Yana didn't know what to feel, but she didn't want to go over. If he wanted to stay, then he could stay. She wouldn't go back with him anyway.

She went into the bedroom, took a shower, put on makeup, changed clothes, and tidied up. Then she opened the door and made milk powder for the child herself.

Danmin seemed to like this strange uncle very much. She lay on the sofa, holding the bottle and drinking milk, but her eyes were watching him making faces at her, and one of her little feet was resting on his body.

Seeing Yana coming out, Zhan Peng pushed Danmin's feet down in disgust, "How can this little girl be so greedy? She has so many things to do, she has to sleep next to human flesh."

"If you think my daughter is too much trouble, just leave. No one is tying you here." Yana replied with a cold face.

"I want to leave, but you have to be willing to go back with me." Zhan Peng teased Danmin and spoke like a rogue.

"Give up on this idea. I won't go back with you."

After she finished speaking, she walked over and took the empty bottle from Danmin's mouth, patted her to burp the milk, quickly changed her diaper and clothes, and carried the child out.

"Where are you going?" Zhan Peng asked in a rude manner while sitting on the sofa.

He hadn't washed his face, and his beard was unshaven, making him look a bit sloppy.

"None of your business." Yana glared at him, put Danmin in the stroller, and changed her shoes at the entrance. The door was pushed open from the outside, and a tall man stood at the door, blocking most of the light.

"Yana, are you okay?" Zanlong asked gently.

"Okay." Yana smiled faintly and was about to say she was leaving when Zhan Peng came over from behind.

The two men looked at each other, their invisible auras rubbing and colliding with each other, sparks flying.

"Who are you?" Zanlong asked, casually leaning on the stroller and pushing the mother and daughter behind him.

Zhan Peng looked at him, his black eyes narrowed, his handsome face tensed, and his thin lips slightly parted, "Yana, tell him who I am."

"Are you Zhan Peng?" Zanlong sneered, "The man who trapped her in northern Myanmar for four whole years?"

After he finished speaking, he pulled out a gun from his waist and pointed it at Zhan Peng's forehead, "You still dare to come here?"

Zhan Peng's black eyes were filled with murderous intent. He looked coldly at the Colt M2000 that was pressed against his forehead. A murderous aura surged through his body. He instinctively reached for his gun from his waist.

"Zanlong." Yana didn't expect Zanlong to pull out a gun at Zhanpeng. She knew Zhanpeng too well. Except for Balu and Natu, everyone who pointed a gun at his head died at his hands.

"Take Danmin and wait for me in the car first." Yana was afraid that Zhan Peng would kill Zanlong if he had a wrong idea, so she quickly sent Zanlong out.

The man stood there motionless, and Yana wanted to pull him away.

"Just try to touch him in front of me if you dare." Zhan Peng's voice was so cold that it made people's hearts tremble.

Yana retracted her hand and looked at Zanlong, "Go out first. Consider it my beg."

Zanlong looked at her tearful eyes, but he couldn't bear it anymore and put away his gun. "Okay, I'll take the child to the car first."

Danmin, who was sitting in the stroller, didn't understand what was going on. She only saw that the strange uncle who played with her in the morning had a changed expression. She thought it was a new ghost face and giggled at him.

Zanlong pursed his lips and pushed the stroller out the door.

Danmin was still looking at Zhanpeng sideways until the door closed.

Zhan Peng lowered his head, touched his cheek with the tip of his tongue, took out a cigarette, and put it in his mouth. The bluish-white smoke blurred his murderous eyes.

"Yana, he just pointed a gun at me."

"This is Country M. If you kill someone, you will be caught by the police." Yana's fingers shrank unconsciously.

"Then~ try it?" He smiled wickedly.

"Zhan Peng, go back to Myanmar. This is not the place for you. Country M is not like China, which values morality. Once the politicians here set their sights on you, they won't let you go easily."

"This is not your concern, Yana. You just need to answer me whether you will follow me or not."

"I've said it many times, I can't go back." Yana looked up at him, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm no longer the 18-year-old Yana, but you're still that soldier in northern Myanmar. You'll never ask me what I want."

"Then what do you want?" The man squeezed out a few words from his throat, his superior brows trembling slightly as he tried to control his emotions.

"I want to live my own life, a life without you."
