As soon as Wu Jie returned, he pestered Nanxi, pulling out a ton of little things from his backpack like magic. There were gem paintings he'd found in Mandalay, clay figurines he'd made himself, and some small things Wu Xiao had brought her back from China. Among them was a particularly adorable little pottery jar Wu Xiao had made in pottery class. It had a dragon painted on it, with a snow-white cat perched on its head.
Nanxi couldn't let it go, so she specially picked out several beautiful flowers to put in it.
Wu Jie also gave Yana, Nanxi, and Danmin each a jadeite necklace that he had polished himself. Yana happily said that she would have it inlaid with gold and wear it every day as a family heirloom.
Danmin was not very interested in the necklace, but she liked the small clothes that Wu Xiao bought for her in Beijing very much. It was a set of bellyband and shorts made of the large floral cloth from Northeast China that was very popular in China.
Yana had never seen one before and didn't know how to wear it. Nanxi laughed and said, "Let me try. When I was little, my aunt Ying also made me this kind of bellyband. My dad thought it was ugly and always forbade me to wear it. I think it looks very nice."
Nanxi put a bright red and green bellyband and shorts on Danmin, and also tied two little red buns on her hair. The chubby Danmin looked like a fat girl who walked out of a New Year picture.
Nanxi took out her cell phone to take a photo, and the beauty-loving Danmin posed in various ways to cooperate.
Several people were chatting and playing happily in the living room. The two ignored men spent the whole afternoon either doing logistics and letting their wives tell them to, or sitting there playing with their phones with sullen faces, ignoring each other.
After finally winning the battle, he had some free time to spend with his wives. However, Wu Jie, who was so tactless, attracted the attention of the three women. Balu and Zhan Peng were thinking that they would wait until this guy was alone and teach him a lesson.
After dinner, Wu Jie was finally annoyed by Dan Min's pestering and took the little girl out for a ride. Yana was holding a video conference in the bedroom, and Nanxi was also on time to attend an online class. The two grown men were left staring at each other in the living room again.
Zhan Peng couldn't stay there and ran out to patrol.
His wife had issued a strict order that no one was allowed to enter the bedroom during class. Balu crossed his legs on the sofa and played games to pass the time while waiting for his wife to finish class.
"Sir." The guard outside came in to report.
"What's wrong?" the man asked lazily.
"The people below reported that Captain Boha had a fight with someone and even shot someone. It happened right next to the vegetable market on the back street. His men were confronting a group of thugs, and both sides had already exchanged fire."
After hearing this, Baru sat up and looked up. "Why did Boha fight with those people? Did he suffer any loss?"
The guard's Adam's apple rolled up and down, "I'm not sure."
"Damn it, you dare to open fire on my people, there's a fucking evil wind blowing in Daqili." The man said, and strode out, explaining as he walked.
"Guard this place to death. Not even a fly is allowed to fly in. Send someone to find Master Wu and tell him to bring Danmin back. Don't hang around outside."
Baru walked to the door and shouted at a nearby house,
"Biaozi, get out here and get to work."
After he shouted, he jumped onto the military off-road vehicle at the door, started the car quickly, opened and closed the steering wheel, and turned the car around.
Biaozi, Fuchai and Panpu ran out from inside. Seeing this posture, they knew that something bad was going to happen. Fuchai shouted excitedly twice, went back and carried two Uzi submachine guns, threw one to Biaozi, opened the car door and jumped into the car, then rolled down the window and said,
"Heizi, you stay home and protect Sister Xi. I'll go make some extra money for us."
Seeing his greed for money, Pamp got furious. "You're not going to miss out on any f*cking bargain, are you? You're not going to let me earn a penny?"
"You're not familiar with my brother's fighting style. If you go, you'll just be a drag. Just stay with Sister Xi. I'll treat you to a drink when I come back..."
The tail end of Fu Chai's words was blown away by a gust of wind, and the car sped away.
The corners of Pamp's mouth twitched. "What a bunch of crazy bandits."
From the time he entered the military camp for training until now, he has been receiving regular government military training in the Yangon Military Region. He originally thought that there would not be much difference between coming to northern Myanmar and the military camps over there, but after these days, he finally gained some experience. These are not a group of soldiers, but bandits.
Calling them bandits is a nice way of saying they are just a bunch of evil spirits from hell, with ox-headed and horse-faced monsters, each one more powerful than the other. The government army's tactics are completely useless here.
I used to think that since Baru was able to reach the top power level of the military government at such a young age, there must be someone secretly promoting him. Now I realize that he achieved his goal through hard work.
Baru drove his car all the way to the vegetable market, and heard sporadic gunshots from a distance. Several people jumped out of the car, and Baru walked in with a gun.
"Who is the leader of that gang? Have you found out?"
"I've already made inquiries. It's a guy here named Gong Meng Laming. His brother is the militia captain of a nearby park. He has over a hundred guns. He's very arrogant in this area because of his superiors' power. I don't know how he got into trouble with Boha today."
Biaozi followed behind him, answering as he walked.
"Well, have you found the person?" Baru asked again.
"They should have already run away. Boha is determined to kill them. If we go over there now, the battle will be over in ten minutes at most."
"Lead the way." Baru raised his chin and signaled the guards who came to support him to lead the way.
The three fought as they walked, attacking the mob from behind and flanking them with Boha. In less than five minutes, some of them knelt down and begged for mercy. The remaining people saw that the enemy had advanced weapons and were fierce and ruthless, so they had no chance of winning and lost their fighting spirit, and quickly surrendered.
"Damn it, where is Gong Meng? I'm going to kill him." Boha, who was already bloodthirsty, ran out from the end of the alley with a gun in one hand. His face and body were covered in blood, and his eyes were bloodshot, like a red-eyed rabbit. He kicked the henchman who was kneeling in front of him and put the muzzle of his gun directly on him.
"Poha." Fu Cai saw that something was wrong with this guy, so he quickly went up to stop him.
"Brother is here, let's make things clear first."
Boha then looked at Baru, like a primary school student meeting his parents, his previous toughness was gone, and his face was filled with grievance.
"elder brother……"
"What's going on?"
Balu knew that Boha was a carefree person and that few things could make him lose control like this. Today, he disobeyed military orders and fired shots in the downtown area in public. Something must have really irritated him.
Boha's lips trembled with grievance, but he turned his face away and said nothing. Fu Chai kicked him, but he kept silent.
"If you don't want to talk about it, forget it." Baru threw away the cigarette in his hand. "Biaozi, take these people for questioning and punish them severely. You take Boha and his men to find that Niaogong who offended Boha. If you kill him, tell anyone who dares to come forward to come find me."
After Baru finished speaking, he was about to walk away when he heard someone shouting from behind, "Commander Boha... the person has woken up..."
