Next to the Daqili vegetable market is an area with a dense and mixed population. The road surface has not been maintained for many years and is bumpy, full of stones and stagnant water. The houses on both sides are self-built, and the space available for passage is only about two meters, so cars cannot drive in at all.
When Boha heard what the man said, he turned around and rushed over regardless of anything. Balu and the others were confused and followed him inside, leaving only a small team of Boha's men to clean up the mess.
After turning several corners, the group finally saw Boha pushing open the iron gate of a house and walking in.
The residence was not big, with a circle of houses built inside. It had two small floors, and the middle was left empty for lighting. Because it was already dark, there were a few orange electric lights hanging sparsely in the middle.
Boha went up to the second floor. As soon as he put his hand on the door handle, he heard miserable crying from inside. After hesitating for a few seconds, he pushed the door open and went in.
"You can't go in. This is Commander Boha's room." The old woman at the door stopped Fu Chai who was about to push the door open and spoke seriously.
"We are all his brothers." Fu Chai said impatiently.
"That won't work either. The girl inside isn't wearing any clothes. It's inconvenient for you grown men."
Upon hearing this, Fu Chai's eyes widened. He glanced at Baru and Biaozi behind him, then turned to look at the old woman. "What girl? My brother isn't married yet. How dare you ruin his reputation?"
"Not married? They are living together, aren't they husband and wife? How many people in Daqili are properly married? You are so funny," the old woman teased.
They waited for nearly a cigarette before the sobbing stopped. After a while, Boha opened the door, his face dejected, the redness in his eyes still not fading.
"Brother, please come in first." He then looked at the old woman, "Sister Mama, please bring some fruit over."
After they walked in, they could clearly see the structure of the rental house. It was not very big, with one bedroom and one living room, but the furniture inside was quite complete, and it even had a bathroom and kitchen. It might be a bit shabby in Yangon, but in Tachileik, it was already very good.
"Okay, Poha, you kid, you've been living a good life without making any noise?" Fu Chai hit Poha's shoulder sourly.
Boha lowered his head and looked up at Balu who was sitting on the sofa without saying a word.
Fu Cai also sensed that the atmosphere was not right, and quickly tried to make amends, "But... well... you're not a kid anymore, are you?"
"Who is it?" The officer with a dark face and an imposing aura sitting on the sofa spoke in a cold voice.
It is impossible for a normal family in Daqili to let their daughter follow a soldier in such an anonymous way. At the very least, they have to go to the temple to perform rituals, worship Buddha, and have other ceremonies.
Boha is a man who is outspoken and cannot keep secrets. It is impossible for him to hide things so deeply since he has a wife. If it is done through legitimate means, the whole world will know about it long ago. How could he hide it? There must be something fishy here.
"Brother, Meiyi wanted to follow me on her own initiative. I like her very much. You don't have to worry about it." Boha turned his face away and was stubborn.
"How the hell do you talk to me like that? Tell me the truth. Am I the unreasonable person?" Fu Chai glanced at Baru secretly and kicked Boha again. His face was squeezed out of shape, but the stubborn guy opposite him didn't say a word.
"Bring the person out and I will ask him personally." Baru spoke again.
When Biaozi heard him say this, he stood up and went to the bedroom to catch the person.
Boha took two steps forward and stood in front of Biaozi, his eyes wide open, "You dare to go in and try it?"
"Am I afraid of you? Have you forgotten the military order issued two days ago?" Biaozi confronted him face to face and refused to give in.
"What are you doing? What are you doing? We are brothers, yet you are fighting." Fu Chai came forward to act as a peacemaker and pulled Biaozi, "You idiot, I shouldn't have brought you here. You have no sense at all. Get out." Fu Chai pushed Biaozi out. After being brothers for many years, the two of them had such a tacit understanding that they didn't need to communicate verbally.
"Brother, don't force me. If you force me, I will retire." Boha squatted at the door and refused to let anyone get close.
"Even if I want to retire, I have to finish my prison term before retiring. I don't mess around here. I'll deal with each case separately."
Squeak~
The bedroom door was opened from the inside, and a thin and pretty girl with a pale face and tear marks came out and suddenly knelt on the ground.
"Sir, I seduced him. It's all my fault. Please don't let him go to jail..."
"Meiyi, what are you doing? I'm fine, this is my brother, he won't really do anything to me, why are you coming out?" Boha hugged the girl's waist distressedly, wanting to pick her up, but the girl stubbornly knelt and refused to get up.
"Sir, this is all my fault. You can punish me if you want. Deport me or send me back to the red-light district. I accept either. Please don't punish him..."
Fu Cai looked at the girl on the ground. Her skin was not very white, but it was well-proportioned, her figure was particularly good, and her facial features were also beautiful. Then he remembered that this was one of the girls he brought out from the red-light district when he set up a trap for the mama-san.
This girl was the most unpretentious among them. She was wearing very revealing clothes at the time. She kept lowering her head and pulling at her clothes. He had some impression of her. How did she and Boha fall in love? No wonder this guy had been out of sight for a while.
"Hey, everyone, get up! You're acting like our brother Lu is so scary! Didn't I tell you to explain things clearly first? Do you deserve a beating, you stubborn ass?"
Fuchaila held Boha with one hand and tried to pull the girl with the other hand, but was slapped by Boha. Then Boha took the girl to sit on the sofa, lit a cigarette, and then spoke.
"Brother, she was one of the girls you asked me to look after who was brought back from the red-light district. The other girls were all sent away, but she said that day that she was sold voluntarily.
Her father died and her mother was not her biological mother. She remarried an old man with several children. She was harassed by the old man since she was a child and was almost raped. Her mother found out and beat her up.
Her mother handed her over to the traffickers, and she was either raped by an older man or sold again. I know she got me drunk that day because she wanted me to help her, but I volunteered and wasn't really drunk.
Since she is my woman, I have responsibilities towards her. It doesn't matter how you punish me, but I won't let you send her to that hell again."
After listening to this, Baru picked up his cigarette case and threw it at the idiot across from him. "I was wondering why you've been so focused lately, telling me every day about testing drone performance. Turns out you're using a woman to play with it. I'll beat you to death, you idiot! You believe everything she says? Aren't there enough soldiers in northern Myanmar who have fallen prey to women?"
"I'm not... I didn't..." Meiyi nestled in Boha's arms, crying and shaking her head, looking miserable.
