Song Cai was sitting outside. Ever since Nanxi and Liang Lulu left the kitchen and went to the backyard, he had been staring in that direction, with a lot on his mind.
Balu and Zhanpeng ignored him. Zhanpeng took Danmin to play, while Balu stroked Nannan.
Finally, after Song Cai frowned again and looked towards the backyard, Balu couldn't help but speak.
"What are you looking at? Your eyeballs are falling out. Are you really that incompetent? Are you not dressed yet?"
Song Cai glanced at his good brother, then squatted down beside the fish pond and scratched the grass on the ground in frustration. "I don't know either."
"No, if you follow, it's just one word, if you don't follow, it's two words. What do you mean you don't know the fuck? Are you stupid?" Zhan Peng turned around, feeling a little disappointed. "What? You didn't work hard? You said you..."
"Get out of here! I don't want to waste my time talking to you. Stop asking questions." Song Cai pulled out a handful of grass and threw it at Zhan Peng.
"Damn it! That was planted by my wife! You fucking pulled it out?" Baru got angry and stood up, kicking his good brother. Then he went over to pick up the grass and said, "Replant it for me."
"It's just a piece of grass, don't be too outrageous." Song Cai was unwilling to pay attention to him.
"This is called orchid grass. It can bloom. My wife likes it." Balu pushed Song Cai away and planted it himself. He looked up at the two of them and said, "If anyone dares to damage our things again, they will pay ten times the compensation. I mean what I say."
"Who cares about your broken things? I'll go see the house with Lulu after dinner."
Song Cai couldn't stand his stingy look the most. He used to be stingy with weapons and ammunition, but now he can even look at a blade of grass. He's really hopeless.
"See a house? What house?" As soon as he said this, Zhan Peng became interested.
"Mengge said that after I come back, I will stay in Yangon for two years before being transferred to Mandalay. I can't always live here in Along. I should buy a house and live comfortably by myself."
"Then I'll buy another one closer to you." Zhan Peng replied, "I'll go with you later."
"You're everywhere." Song Cai glared at Zhan Peng with disdain.
"Hey, that's not right. Doesn't this mean I agree to go with you to see the house? Isn't that the same as agreeing to it?" Zhan Peng then noticed the end point.
"She agreed, but she said she could marry me, but she couldn't give me anything else, so she asked me to think it over carefully." Song Cai scratched his head. "Does she mean she won't give me children? Is that how we're going to live like this?"
"Are you stupid? What she meant was that she can live with you but forget about the relationship. You have such a stupid brain." Zhan Peng slapped him and raised his voice.
"What do you mean? Does she accept me or not?" Song Cai was even more confused, his brows furrowed tighter and tighter. "Didn't she agree to live with me? Why doesn't she want to talk about feelings anymore?"
Zhan Peng looked at him and shook his head helplessly, "Forget it, Brother Cai, fools have their own luck, just live like this, don't take it too seriously, it's not good for you."
"Guess," Baru finished planting the grass, washed his hands in the fish pond, and stood up. "Let's just live like this for now. Be nice to her. Sooner or later, she'll understand how good you are."
"Along, do you think she won't go back on her word? From the moment she woke up today until now, she's only said two words to me, and both were just 'hmm's. I'm really unsure."
"She went to the kitchen to cook, didn't go to the embassy, and didn't make a fuss about leaving. Doesn't that mean she's willing to live with you?"
"But she didn't give me a definite answer, so I'm worried." Song Cai walked back and forth in the yard with a worried look on his face.
"Whether she's willing or not, you'll see at night. If she lets you go to bed, doesn't that mean she's willing?" Zhan Peng's understanding was simple and crude.
"I made my wife angry and she refused to talk to me. That's how I judged it."
After listening to him, Song Cai turned to look at Ba Lu. Ba Lu seemed to be thinking about something. "My wife never forces me to get out of bed." He said it firmly.
"Go ahead and brag." Zhan Peng was unconvinced, and curled his lips. "Your eldest daughter is much harder to please than my Yana."
"Zhan Peng. You really only care about eating and not about being beaten." Just as Zhan Peng finished speaking, he heard Nan Xi's gentle yet somewhat dangerous voice. Turning around, the woman crossed her arms with a half-smile on her face, looking at him indifferently.
Zhan Peng's hair stood on end as he instantly recalled the times this woman had teased him before, each time he had suffered the consequences. His Adam's apple moved, "It's not difficult to serve you. Miss Nan is precious and it's a blessing for our A'long to be able to serve you. Feel free to order me around."
"You are old, old man." Nanxi rolled her eyes at him and walked inside.
Baru followed in two steps, "Baby..."
"I've told you so many times, why don't you go to the fish pond to wash your hands? Are you dirty? Wash them again." Nanxi hid and didn't let him touch her.
Balu turned around and pointed at Zhan Peng, his threat evident in his words.
Zhan Peng spread his hands out in a conceited manner, feeling confident and fearless.
Song Cai saw Liang Lu go to the kitchen and followed her in two steps, "Lulu, let the chef cook. Don't bother working. There's so much smoke here."
"It's okay. Xixi likes the food I cook. I will try my best to make her happy. You can go out." This was the longest sentence Liang Lu had said to him all day.
The straightforward man finally felt that she was willing to pay attention to him. He chuckled, cupped her cheek and gave her a big kiss. "Okay, then you guys eat first. I'll go out and do something. I'll be back in a while."
…
Halfway through the meal, Song Cai came in with a few people, carrying large and small bags.
"Are you robbing? Why didn't you call me?" Zhan Peng looked at him and said with a smile.
Song Cai ignored him and asked the guards to put all the things into Liang Lu's room. Then he pulled a chair and sat next to Liang Lu. He put his arm around her shoulders and took out a new model of mobile phone from his pocket.
"Here, the card is already installed. You can use it first. We can exchange it later when a new model comes out."
Liang Lu was a little surprised. "You said you had something to do, so you went to buy a cell phone?"
"Not only a phone, I also bought you cosmetics and clothes and other things. Come in and take a look later. I also bought my own house. Even if we buy it, we still need to renovate it. We have to live in Aaron's house for a while first."
"Xixi has prepared everything for me. They're all new. Why didn't you just ask before buying them? You're wasting money."
Liang Lu was used to being frugal, and her consumption philosophy was to not replace something with a new one if it was still usable, as it would be a waste of money. She couldn't help but say something about him buying a lot of things, even during the Chinese New Year, but then she realized it and felt a little embarrassed.
"I'm not controlling you, it's just... everything Xixi gave me is new, and I can't use so much."
"It's okay. If you don't need it, just give it away or just keep it for fun. I'm Song Cai's woman, so spending a few bucks on her is nothing."
Liang Lu didn't say anything else and tightened her grip on the chopsticks.
"Why don't you guys eat anymore? The dishes cooked by our Lulu are so delicious, eat them all up, don't leave any leftovers." After Song Cai said this, he picked up the cutlery in front of him and started eating voraciously. He also forced Zhan Peng and Balu to finish all the dishes on the table before leaving.
