Chapter 2 The Origin of Space

Yu Yin, fast asleep, was unaware that she possessed a cheat ability—a reward for the original owner's good deeds. Her tears had opened up a new dimension.

And this space also has an extraordinary origin!

Millions of years ago, all things in the world possessed sentience, and the universe was composed of six realms: the Celestial Realm, the Demon Realm, the Human Realm, the Beast Realm, the Flower Realm, and the Buddhist Realm. The Buddhist Realm focused solely on understanding Buddhist teachings and remained detached from worldly affairs. The Demon Realm and the Celestial Realm were constantly at odds, engaging in countless battles, large and small, over millions of years. Meanwhile, the other realms, lacking sufficient power, wavered between opposing sides.

Until that great war between immortals and demons, all realms were turned into hell, with not a blade of grass growing in heaven and on earth, and all realms suffered heavy casualties and were on the verge of annihilation.

The Buddha's saints chanted scriptures a million times, dispelling the resentment of the vengeful and barely preserving the six realms. They also scattered seeds before the Buddha throughout the universe, letting them drift on the wind, scattering everywhere, and slowly taking root and sprouting.

Millions of years have passed, and the devastation of the past is no longer visible. Although there are still some sordid things in different realms, they live in peace. And the seeds that fell to earth, after being tempered by time, have silently cultivated themselves into immortals.

The space activated by the teardrops from Yu Yin's soul is actually a tree seed that was scattered to the human world by a Buddhist saint millions of years ago. It took root, sprouted, and grew into a towering tree, eventually cultivating into an immortal and leaving the human world, leaving behind only its physical body.

Now, by sheer coincidence, this space has been transferred into Yu Yin's consciousness and has become her cheat code.

This space isn't some extraordinary creation; it's like a large tree that's been dug up, leaving a huge pit, half-filled with water. The only difference is that this pit is quite large, about the size of a football field, and surrounded by fertile black soil suitable for planting.

The black soil isn't infinitely large; it forms a ring around the large pit, about ten meters in diameter. Surprisingly, on one side of the pit, there's a patch of hard soil, like a small courtyard, likely formed by generations of people sitting under a large tree.

Under every towering tree is a scene of gossip. If it were a short film, it might depict people dressed in animal skins and leaves, Hanfu with wide sleeves, Tang suits with colorful clothes, and fitted cheongsams... Regardless of the era, the love of gossip is in the nature of the Chinese people.

We've strayed from the topic; let's get back to the space.

The water in the spatial pit is the so-called spiritual spring. It cannot cleanse the marrow and tendons, beautify the skin, or whiten the complexion. For humans, its only function is to strengthen the body and gradually improve physical condition if consumed regularly.

However, its effects may be greater on plants. It can promote plant growth, stimulate plant vitality, change undesirable plant attributes, and develop them into superior plants.

Another advantage of this space is that it maintains a constant temperature regardless of the season, thus preserving freshness. Furthermore, the airflow rate inside is three times that outside, allowing for the ripening of several more crops, fruits, and vegetables throughout the year.

With this spatial cheat, Yu Yin should be confident that she can survive the tough and boring 1970s, although she doesn't know she has this cheat yet and is currently in a coma.

As she watched the bleeding from her body, which had been severely affected by the sphere of light, slowly stop, Yu Yin's soul felt relieved; her child was saved. She believed the kind-faced woman could take good care of her child, and willingly let her soul disperse, returning to nature.

Upon waking again, Yu Yin understood her situation and the responsibilities she had to bear. The memories of the original owner, Yu Yin's, short life flashed through Yu Yin's mind like a dream. Whether by chance or fate, she had inherited Yu Yin's body and memories, and thus had to bear the burden of her unhappy marriage and frail child.

Fortunately, heaven took pity on them and granted the two unfortunate women a chance to live in this space. The deceased Yu Yin was able to depart in peace, while the living Yu Yin had the courage to continue on her journey.

Taking advantage of the absence of others, Yu Yin surveyed her surroundings: the large pit, the patch of earth, and the hard ground—these were her future lifeline. Knowing the water in the pit was beneficial, she eagerly wanted to drink some, but the moment she moved, excruciating pain shot through her lower body, causing her to break out in a cold sweat. Haste makes waste; she decided to wait. From girl to woman, and then from woman to mother, Yu Yin had never experienced or felt such pain in her previous life.

No, I need to slow down. It hurts too much, I can't take it. Actually, when she first entered this body, she couldn't feel much life force. Then, in that instant, she felt as if she was surrounded by a warm mass of energy, which felt extremely comfortable. After that, she heard cries of "The bleeding has stopped, the bleeding has stopped," and she felt the life force returning to her.

"Yu Yin, you're awake. Have some chicken soup. Auntie made it for you."

Looking at the man who pushed open the door, this man who was both familiar and unfamiliar, from now on would be her husband. Yu Yin felt like she was on a rocket, getting married and having children without any dating experience. From then on, Yu Yin was no longer Yu Yin, but Yu Yin.

"I'm really hungry. Help me up, I can't get up, my lower body hurts too much."

I don't know what I said that made this tall man, who's over 1.8 meters tall, blush so much. Is it really necessary? I'm a young woman and nothing happened. What's there to be ashamed of for someone who's already had a child?

She was half-lifted into a sitting position, with a pillow placed under her lower back. Yu Yin managed to sit up comfortably, took a bowl of chicken soup, and eagerly took a sip.

"Waaah..."

"What's wrong? What's wrong? It shouldn't be too hot anymore, why aren't you swallowing it?"

Yu Yin frowned and forced herself to swallow the chicken soup in her mouth, as if swallowing medicine.

"Why is it not salty? Did you forget to add salt?"

"Ah, you can't eat salt during your postpartum period, so there's no saltiness."

Yu Yin seemed to have heard that during postpartum confinement, one should not be exposed to drafts, eat salty foods, or wash one's hair or take a bath... She never imagined that not being able to eat salty foods meant not adding any salt at all. How was she supposed to eat like that?

Looking at Yu Yin, who was holding a bowl and staring blankly, Lu Shurui frowned, his expression a mix of helplessness and bewilderment.

"Just hold your nose and drink it. Auntie has been stewing it for quite a while. She should be coming over soon. If she sees you haven't drunk it, then..."

Recalling her mother's personality and their brief previous interactions, Yu Yin quickly finished the chicken soup in her bowl. "Burp, burp..." She burped as she drank it too quickly.

"Eat some dry food to calm down."

Taking the dry rations the man handed her, Yu Yin chewed a few mouthfuls and swallowed, determined to suppress the burp—it was too embarrassing.

With food in her stomach and feeling much better, Yu Yin remembered her responsibilities.

"How is the child?"

"The baby is in another room, under the care of a dedicated person. He's much better now and can drink formula. If there are no complications, he can be moved here tomorrow."

Yu Yin knew that she and her children had been protected by the space and had their lives saved. "Children, you have a great mother. She must be very blessed to have this opportunity to save your lives. I have also benefited from it."

Looking at Yu Yin, who was staring blankly again, Lu Shurui felt helpless. Their marriage was an accident, having a child was another accident, and giving birth was yet another accident. With so many accidents, he didn't know where his future lay!

"Lie down and rest for a while. The doctor told you to rest more. This time your body was badly injured and you need to recuperate."

"Yeah, I'm sleepy too."

Yu Yin, feeling unwell, fell asleep again.
