"You're from Shanghai, what about you?"
“We’re from Kyoto, and there’s him, him…”
They ordered five or six in a row, so it seemed they were together. Lu Shuqi understood; this group would stick together, and even if he couldn't befriend them, he couldn't afford to offend them.
"My name is Lu Shuqi, what's yours?"
“My name is Qian Weiguo. These are Wang Wenye, Jia Mengchen, Yu Haiyang, Li He, and Zhou Yuanchao. We are childhood friends and grew up together. You have relatives here. I saw the guy who helped you make your bed this afternoon.”
"Yes, that's my cousin. He came here in 1968 and is now a middle school teacher."
Lu Shuqi didn't elaborate, since they had only just met and weren't familiar with each other.

The man, who seemed to be named Wang Wenye, impatiently interrupted Qian Weiguo's rambling. He appeared to be the leader of the group. After he finished speaking, Qian Weiguo immediately shut up and lay back on the bed without saying a word.

The other dormitories were also filled with complaints, especially the girls' dormitories, where some students were even crying. But once they arrived, it wasn't easy to go back. All they could do was adapt to the new environment as quickly as possible.
