Chapter 4 The Wind Passes By

Chapter 4 The Wind Passes By

This sound is so strange... That bastard.

Before reading the diary, Yu Weiyou always thought that Li Rong simply liked him very much, and because of this, she secretly hid many of the bastard things that Shu Ciyin had done.

for example.

The sunlight that evening was a beautiful warm orange, streaming in through the cold window, carrying a captivating sense of detachment, enveloping Shuciyin, who stood inside, as if in a dreamlike, unreal world.

The curtains on the other half of the room were tightly closed, casting a dim shadow on Yu Weiyou.

The room, which was originally quite spacious, felt cramped under the thugs' encirclement. Yu Weiyou was tied up and pinned to the ground, surrounded by ripped rag dolls.

They had been facing off for quite some time now.

"That's rare. Are you sure you want to reject me?" His voice was incredibly frivolous. I really don't know why so many girls like him. "Or maybe I can bring Li Rong along too?"

"No need." Yu Weiyou finally slowly raised her head, looking at him firmly and saying, "You can have me, but you absolutely cannot touch Li Rong."

He laughed: "Oh? So there are conditions? Whatever, as long as it's not too difficult, I can agree to anything."

"..." After the group untied Yu Weiyou, she stood up and walked toward the dim sunlight on Shu Ciyin's side, and continued, "It's not a difficult thing for me, but I don't know what you, Shu Ciyin, think."

In the blink of an eye, Yu Weiyou conjured several needles from nowhere and lightly pricked them into the skin of Shu Ciyin's neck.

A group of teenagers suddenly became chaotic.

"Yu Weiyou, you're crazy! Take the needles off the boss right now!"

Aren't you afraid of being sent to a reformatory?

Yu Weiyou: "Shut up. You're the ones who should be in the reformatory. What do you say, Shuciyin?"

"Perhaps." He suddenly changed his attitude completely and said, "In that case, I will apologize for my rude behavior today. I'm sorry for making our young lady angry. I will prepare some gifts to formally apologize to you another day, and perhaps then we can sit down and have a calm chat."

"No need. I hope you've learned your lesson, otherwise I can't guarantee what I might do." Yu Weiyou put away the needle in her hand and walked straight to the door.

Shu Ciyin, standing behind her, raised his hand to stop several of her henchmen who were about to retaliate. He said slowly, "Don't touch her. This woman is much more interesting than other common women."

"May 17

“I don’t know why, but lately Shuciyin seems to dislike touching me. She always pushes me to the people next to her. I don’t know if I did something wrong… I don’t like those people at all… In their eyes, I feel like I can see myself being abandoned and treated like a lowly person again. It’s so painful, but I can’t get rid of it… They say I can’t escape anymore. If everyone knew that I was such a filthy person, I would be in even more pain than I am now.”

"So filthy... How did it become like this?"

"I originally thought that as long as I liked him, I would do anything... I was so stupid. I was too infatuated from the very first time, and agreed to be with him for no reason. Several people came for no reason, and the pain caused by them all helping me... I didn't think that much at the time, and I even believed the nonsense about special treatment that Shu Ciyin talked about... Thinking about it, I was really ignorant."

"It seems too late to talk about this now."

"...

"It's so cruel, Shuciyin, it's so cruel, Dad, Mom, brother... Is it because I'm too stupid that you don't want me anymore? Is it okay to leave me in this dark place? Now even Shuciyin doesn't want me anymore... Is it really all my fault?"

"Wei You... thankfully I still have Wei You... I absolutely cannot let Wei You leave me again! I've been learning to make rag dolls from her recently, and I keep pricking my hands with the needle, but I'm not afraid of the pain. I even made a little outfit for the doll for Wei You. Maybe the craftsmanship is really bad, but Wei You was very happy. She put the little outfit on her doll, and the outfit seemed a lot too big. Even so, she thanked me several times, and I felt a little embarrassed."

"That's great! Thank goodness I still have Wei You. Or maybe I should say I only have Wei You left. She won't abandon me, will she? She won't, will she? I'm so scared, so very scared. Why are they all slowly abandoning me?"

Not long after Shu Ciyin suffered his first setback with Yu Weiyou, he and several men waited for her on one of her usual routes. Upon seeing her from afar, they bowed respectfully.

Yu Weiyou was speechless. She wanted to walk around it, but she still went over: "...Didn't I say that we don't need to do all this nonsense?"

Shu Ciyin raised her head, a fake smile on her face: "That won't do, I just wanted to show my sincerity."

Yu Weiyou: "You don't need to be sincere. I won't do anything to betray Li Rong. She likes you, so I won't have anything to do with you. Please don't bother anymore."

“Then consider this my way of apologizing,” Shu Ciyin immediately replied. “Who told me to ruin so many of your dolls before? Please accept these fabrics; they should be perfect for your dolls.”

"..." Yu Weiyou was once again impressed by this person's persistence, and could only say, "If you are sincerely apologizing, I can accept it, but please don't come looking for me again."

"Yes, my esteemed young lady."

Shu Ciyin truly kept his promise. However, every now and then, some exquisite fabrics would appear at the door of Yu Weiyou's room. Without a doubt, this was Shu Ciyin's doing.

Yu Weiyou had no intention of accepting them, and she would never return them to Shu Ciyin in person for such a trivial matter. However, she felt it would be a pity to throw them away, since she herself had a hard time getting suitable fabric.

This person is really cunning.

"June 2

"I haven't seen Shuciyin for several days."

"I……

"Leaving someone is a really painful thing for me. Haha, I should have known this a long time ago. Now, thinking about this feeling again, I don't know whether to be sad or resentful."

"Hate...it's actually hard to hate, because I can't help but miss you."

"Longing... I'm actually still longing for that kind of thing... Am I already ruined...?"

"I...I actually...I was holding the pen he gave me...I...put it in..."

"The thought that it was the pen he gave me, and the feeling of touching it, gives me an electric shock-like pleasure."

"How could this happen... how could this happen? Why would I do such a thing? But I... I even sped up..."

"Ah. I think I'm really not doing well. Am I going crazy...? But I can't stop. I even wish... it could stay there forever."

"Stop, stop! My whole body feels like it's out of my control. I pulled out the pen and slashed my leg hard. Blood seeped out."

"I think I'm getting a little more awake. I'm holding it and rubbing it against my leg repeatedly. It hurts so much. But my brain is incredibly excited."

"No... I can't let anyone see my scars. I can't let anyone see me like this... I can't..."

...

"My head hurts so much..."

Yu Weiyou was somewhat speechless. She rubbed her head and slowly looked away from the diary. At first, she just wanted to know why Li Rong jumped off the rooftop, but when she saw this, she realized that perhaps she shouldn't have gotten her hands on this book.

Li Rong's wounds were all covered by her clothes, and Yu Weiyou had never noticed them before, because Li Rong was still chatting and laughing with her every day, and seemed perfectly normal. Perhaps there was something wrong with her, but Yu Weiyou simply didn't pay attention.

It's too late to think about it now.

Yu Weiyou opened another exquisite notebook, which contained only one line of text.

"Weiyou, I'm sorry. You said you wanted to start anew with a new diary, but I can't do it."

Later, Shuciyin led Yuweiyou over the back wall of the facility and around to a small hill, which was a cemetery where Lirong was buried.

“…” Yu Weiyou stared at the cold tombstone and casually snatched a lighter from one of the henchmen.

She pulled the diary and another exquisite notebook from her bosom. The flames fell from her hands, burning fiercely before slowly turning to ashes.

And so they arrived in silence, and left in silence.

In the restored tranquility of the facility, life flowed by as usual, and Yu Weiyou returned to her solitary ways, as if the world had never experienced any turmoil.
